Modelování a vizualizace vymezeného geografického prostoru s možností interaktivního zásahu do modelovaného procesu

Procházka, David January 2008 (has links)
Effective management and sharing of geodata is one of the priorities of governments and companies all around the world. Nowadays spatial data are published without any standardized methodics and unified metadata. This situation leads to multiple storing of such geodata and consequential high expenses and inconsistency. There is usually a problem even find an appropriate mapserver with the required data. Obviously there is a problem: How to access geodata more effectively. We are searching in emails, discussions, documents around the web, even in pictures. But currently there is no searching engine for geodata which could be compared with well known searching services such as Google, Yahoo!, etc. Therefore I focused on this issue. The first part of this work briefly presents standards used for publishing geodata. A review of methods used for geodata and metadata aggregation follows. Based on this review, a method for development of an engine for geodata search is presented. Last part describes principles of experimental implementation and achieved results.

Vývoj mapového obrazu města České Budějovice / Development of the cartographic image of České Budějovice

CHARVÁT, Josef January 2011 (has links)
This thesis deals with the historical development of the city České Budějovice and some old maps of Bohemia edited in the period of 1518 - 1847. During data processing of these maps I compare the locations of some chosen South Bohemian cities of one old map with another and with their real location. The next part of the thesis is devoted to the way of displaying the city České Budějovice in each map. Used old maps: Claudian map (1518), Münster maps (1550, 1570), Ortelius map (17th century), Mercator map (17th century), Sadeler map (1620), Aretin map (1665), Vogt map (1712), Müller map (1720), Homman?s heritors map (18th century), Lotter map (1758), Schütz map (1790), Loth map (1847).

Analýza vývoje a využívání krajiny ze stávajících mapových podkladů ve zvoleném území a její aplikace při řešení KPÚ / Analysis of the development and land use from existing map bases in the selected area and its application in solving complex land adjustment

DEKAN, Martin January 2015 (has links)
The focus of research in this diploma thesis is mapping the landscape of the Czech Republic, with an overview of the historical development of maps, the extinction of settlements, and the relationship between maps and land use adjustments. Furthermore, the thesis includes descriptions of maps in the studied area (the municipal area of Stachy and Studenec u Stach) and descriptions of the current as well as historical land use. The development of municipalities of Stachy and Popelná is examined by comparing several local maps, while also identifying the benefits of the area and the opportunities for complex land use adjustments. Samples of maps which were used for this research are to be found in the Annex to the thesis.

Využití metod prostorové analýzy dat při vymezování venkovských regionů / The Use of the spatial data examining methods for definition of rural areas

KROHOVÁ, Zuzana January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is technical evaluation of existing approaches to defining rural areas in our country, in Europe and in the world. The main result of the work will be a comprehensive proposal for a new definition of rural areas of the Czech Republic by means of spatial data analysis in a geographic information system. The main method of the spatial analysis will be the map algebra, using it to define a new criterion for rural areas. A new proposal for the definition of rural areas of the Czech Republic will be based on a combination of commonly used criterias for defining rural (population, population density, unemployment rate, etc.) along with their processing in GIS (spatial models, overlay operations, spatial statistics and others). The result of this work should serve to further evaluate the proposals and rural areas of sustainable development.

Implementace GIS nástroje pro mobilní počítačová zařízení / GIS Application Tool for Mobile Platforms

Plachý, Tomáš January 2015 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to design and implement a GIS tool for mobile devices. The beginning of the thesis informs about the theoretical background of GIS and mapping. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the concept of a mobile mapping tool. The thesis describes the architecture and processes within the tool, as well as some details regarding its implementation. A mapping of a selected geographical location and a protocol summarising the mapping are also included within the thesis.

Weather and Aeronautical Data on Map for Airplane EFB / Weather and Aeronautical Data on Map for Airplane EFB

Koukolíček, Ondřej January 2015 (has links)

Miskoncepce žáků o kartogramu a kartodiagramu / Elementary school pupils' misconceptions related to choropleth and proportional symbol maps

Šmídová, Michala January 2022 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the identification and analysis of misconceptions that are formed when the ninth grade pupils work with thematic maps of quantitative mapping methods, specifically with the choropleth map and proportional symbol map. The theoretical introduction defines the tested mapping methods, reviews previous foreign and Czech studies of map skills, and describes misconceptions that are formed both in cartography in general and specifically when working with thematic maps of quantitative mapping methods. The theoretical part is followed by the practical part - the research methodology and the design of an open conceptual test itself. The test is compiled according to the concept map, which was based on the literature review of previous empirical studies and theoretical publications. From the conceptual map eight propositions (statements) that are key to understanding the concept of choropleth map and proportional symbol map were determined based on an expert evaluation. The conceptual test was used to reveal misconceptions that are formed when working with these mapping methods. A total of 257 pupils from eight primary schools across Czechia took part in the testing and a total of 59 misconceptions of varying severity and frequency were revealed. These misconceptions were then...

Kulturní aspekty kartografické tvorby: Využití mentálních map v mezikulturním výzkumu / Cultural Aspects of Cartographic Creation: Use of Mental Maps in Cross-cultural Research

Bláha, Jan Daniel January 2012 (has links)
Cultural Aspects of Cartographic Creation: Use of Mental Maps in Cross-cultural Research Abstract: Diploma thesis deals with study of interdisciplinary issue of cultural aspects of cartographic creation. The first part of the work consists of theoretical introduction dealing with the map con- tent, map stylistics and map language, in which maps show the greatest cultural differences. The map figures here in a role of the image of reality and visual manifestation of culture. The analogy between a map and a classical language (linguistic anthropology) and the analogy between early maps and primitive cultures' maps are described. Beside the language, as determinants of the human spatial perception and other categories related to the map creation could be mentioned the environment, the experiences and the society, in which man lives. Several examples of so- called cultural map styles, especially from Australia and Oceania, are introduced as well. In the methodical part of the work in connection with cultural-anthropological research a method of cognitive maps, respectively mental maps of map users and map makers is discussed in detail. Just these maps are suitable to explore the cultural particularities of cartographic creation. The application part of the work presents the results of field research of mental...
