Španělsko za vlády Primo de Rivery pohledem československé diplomacie / Spain under rule the Primo de Rivera by the View of Czechoslovak Diplomacy

Vašíček, Josef January 2020 (has links)
(in English): This diploma thesis deals with the coup of General Miguel Primo de Rivera and his subsequent government from the point of view of Czechoslovak diplomacy. The work is divided into five chapters and a conclusion. The main source of work was the telegrams of Czechoslovak diplomats working in Madrid at the time. The individual chapters deal with the reasons for the coup and other important events during the reign of Primo de Rivera. The aim of the work was to find out how Czechoslovak diplomats perceived the coup and other events in Spain. This reflection of Czechoslovak diplomatic dispatches was compared with historical research.

Marocké léčebné rituály / Ritual Healing in Morocco

Kabeš, Štěpán January 2019 (has links)
In this paper I research healing rituals in Morocco, their functioning and their socio-cultural context. The main attention is focused on night possession ritual (lila) of three mystical brotherho- ods - sufi tariqas ʿIsāwa, Hamadsha, and the Gnāwa brotherhood. Most of the members of the lat- ter are descendants of former black slaves, and their culture has a strong heritage of "black" Africa's cults - especially a very specific way of "working" with spirits. The essence of lila ritual lies in the (not always explicitly admitted) harmonization of relation with the possessing spirit. This possession is a kind of a cultural metaphor for signifying a number of mental and psychosomatic problems, which stem from tensions, created by socio-cultural pat- terns in Muslim society (above all the husband-father dominance in the family). During my fieldwork research in Morocco (2016) I collected ethnographic material from the rituals of the three above mentioned brotherhoods, which I present in my thesis and which I compare with substantial secondary literature for each of the brotherhoods. What becomes apparent is how these brotherhoods influence each other in terms of the pantheon of invoked spirits or in terms of musical and kinetic forms of the ritual. A research question resounds throughout the thesis:...

Bezpečnostní politika EU vůči Maghrebu: podpora demokracie nebo zajištění stability? / Security Policy of the EU towards the Maghreb: Promoting Democracy or Stability?

Holík, Jiří January 2012 (has links)
This graduate thesis analyses the EU security policy towards the Maghreb between 2005 and 2010. It does so in order to ascertain to what extent the level of practical policy corresponds with the level of declarations. Also, by using the promotion of democratic governance in the Maghreb countries under the ENP as s case study, the thesis means to challenge the proposition that European Union can be described as a 'Normative Power'. First chapter briefly presents the concept of 'Normative Power Europe'. Following section looks at the European Security Strategy and localizes the primary position of the goal of democracy promotion in the document. Third part gives an overview of the European policy towards the Mediterranean under which EU relations with the Maghreb have been framed. Most attention is paid to the European Neighbourhood Policy. Next chapter examines the level of practical EU policy. It consists of three separate case studies of European policy towards Tunisia, Morocco and Libya between 2005 and 2010. The fifth and final part qualitatively analyses the way four factors (trade, energy, migration and terrorism) contributed to the structuring of relations of Tunisia, Morocco and Libya with Spain, France and Italy. The thesis arrives at the conclusion that while at the declaratory level the EU strives...

Vliv Evropské unie na legitimitu marockého režimu / European Union's impact on the legitimacy of the Moroccan regime

Kolek, Lukáš January 2016 (has links)
This work deals with the European Union's relations with Morocco with regard to its approach to democracy. Morocco's political regime has maintained for a long time its continuity in its political structure, where king possesses a dominant position. The aim of my work is to determine whether the Union after the events of the Arab spring supports a change of the system of rules on which the Moroccan regime stands. Since the nineties, EU has emphasized in its mutual relations the need of democratization. Despite several selective political reforms Moroccan regime has not qualitatively changed its nature and the dominant position was still held by the unelected Moroccan king. After the Arab Spring, the European Union declared clearly its shift away from support for undemocratic regimes and introduced a new foreign policy framework and a range of new financial instruments, which should support the democratization efforts of its partners. As evidenced in my work, although there were several political reforms, the essence of the Moroccan system remained unchanged. Yet Morocco has benefited from EU finances via these new instruments. Furthermore, through the method of framing of public speeches of the King of Morocco and the EU leaders it is apparent that EU leaders are also largely in agreement with the...

Politicko-ekonomické vztahy Španělska a Maroka: vzájemná závislost, nebo bezpečnostní otázka? / The Political and Economic Relations of Spain and Morocco: Interdependence or a Security Question?

Chmaitilliová, Dina January 2009 (has links)
Diploma thesis "The Political and Economic Relations of Spain and Morocco: interdependence or a security question? " deals with the political and economical relations of Spain and Morocco from the end of the 1950's to the present. The relationship between these two countries is based not only on mutual cooperation and support but also on mutual rivalry. The most sensitive area almost throughout the analyzed period is the fishing policy, and the territorial dispute over Western Sahara, Ceuta and Melilla, Sidi Ifni (Leila) and the island Isla de Perejil (arabic Leila). The main hypothesis of the thesis is that the relationship of Spain and Morocco corresponds to the neo-liberal theory and therefore a priority in their mutual relations is the economic objectives and to ensure the prosperity. The relation of these two countries doesn't correspond to the neo-realistic theory and the security objectives don't have high priority. We verified this hypothesis by using the Congruance Method, the comparative method of the study period and by the dependent and independent variables. Dependent variable include the political and economic relations and the independent variables include the economic reform in Morocco, mutual bilateral cooperation, fishing policy, the various Spanish governments' policies towards...
