Larsson Enhörning, Pamela, Ekström, Maria Dona January 2014 (has links)
Insamlad data analyserades med hjälp av Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). / Ronald McDonald House provides accommodation for families with hospitalized children where they can experience a home like environment while their children are getting hospital treatment.

Rabb, Mikaela, Ågren, Anna January 2014 (has links)
Abstract Background: Families with sick children are expressing the needs of accommodation near the hospital, in order to be close to their children and be together as a family. Aim: To investigate how parents experienced the hospitality and the environment at the Ronald McDonald House (RMH) in Uppsala and how they feel their children have experienced the stay. Method: Descriptive qualitative interview study. Five parents who lived with their family at RMH between 2013- 2014 have been interviewed with a semi-structured approach. A qualitative content analysis with an inductive approach according to Graneheim and Lundman (2003) was conducted on a manifest level. Results: RMH made the families’ situation easier. RMH met their needs of a homelike environment where they could be themselves; be together and maintain everyday routines. Respect and fellowship prevailed in the house. The families’ received support from RMH, both from other families and the staff. The staff was helpful and as fellow human beings and drew attention to all the children. RMH is a place where kids can play and have fun with other children. Staying at RMH made it more fun to go to the hospital. The kids developed when they lived with other families. The sick children were able to share experiences and strategies with children in similar situation. Conclusion: Parents at RMH experienced the environment and the hospitality at RMH as very positive. There's a need to expand the business because of demand exceeding supply. Rooms that relatives can rent for a couple of nights for an affordable sum would be appreciated.

By determining the elements of style typical of this particular work, the investigator aims to set forth in a general way to how the composer treated each of the problems stated above. The concerto for Two Pianos was selected for study because of its modernity and because of the writer's active interest in works for this medium.
