Axén, Albin, Adamsson, Niklas January 2004 (has links)

The goal of this bachelor thesis is to explain how computer game graphic artists at the game company Digital Illusions(Dice) has changed during the last six years. To give this question a background the essay describes how the computer game process works and it also describes the working roles for the peoples in the process. Further the thesis describes the changes for the computer game graphic artist and the reasons for this change. When it comes to Digital Illusions the thesis focus on the game Battlefield 1942. The work began with telephone interviews with game artists at the largest game company’s in Sweden, witch gave us indications of the fact that the status and the influence of the production of the game for the game artists had been ascending during the last six years. We therefore wanted to find out the reasons for this change, as well as finding one single game to study. We therefore interviewed three of the responsible computer game artists for the game Battlefield 1942. We also went to the computer game education Playground Squad in Falun for two days of interviews and observations. We concluded that the computer game graphic artists had increased during the last six years primarily caused by the fact that computer game graphics more and more had been used as means of marketing and the fact that the knowledge and the making use of editors among the artists has increased.

This research show a method of production white amorphous Rice Husk Ash (RHA), therefore, the behaviour of RHA in Portland cement matrix to evaluate the pozzolanic activity of this material. The research can be shared in four steps, to know: construction of an oven and production of rice husk ash, physical-chemical analysis of the rice husk ash, evaluation of pozzolanic activity of the pozzolan though instrumental analysis and, finally, mechanical properties of Portland cement mortars. The oven used for production of rice husk ash didn't have a control of temperature and, the time of burning is so longer, approximately 36 hours. In this method is obtained for about 1,5Kg of ash. The obtained ash has white colour and its amorphous phase were determined though different methods: X-ray diffractometry, determination of amorphous silica, Termogravimetric Analysis (TA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and mechanical properties of Portland cement mortars. Besides that, the experimental procedure involves studies on fineness variation of rice husk ash and different degrees of Portland cement substitution. The obtained results were compared with silica fume, because this is the most similar pozzolanic material with rice husk ash. The RHA produced under this method can be used... Evaluation of ecotoxicity of typical surfactants for leather manufacture by luminescent bacteria

Han, Wei Mo, Zhou, X., Tan, J., Peng, L. Q., Zhang, W. H. 26 June 2019 (has links)
Content: Surfactants are used as auxiliaries in every wet processing process of leather production and discharged into wastewater, which would cause potential ecological risks. In this paper, fresh luminescent bacillus liquids were employed to evaluate the ecological toxicity of six surfactants, including anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants, and mixture of two typical ionic and nonionic surfactants after a 15-min exposure period. Non-ionic surfactants AEO and Tween80 showed slight light inhibition ie.10-35% to luminescent bacteria. The toxicity of anionic surfactants with polar sulfonic group was: penetrant T(EC50=406.81mg/L) >SDBS(EC50=573.37mg/L). The toxicity of cationic surfactants was: DTAB(EC50=10.68mg/L)>SKC (EC50=73.96mg/L). The addition of nonionic surfactants reduced the toxicity of ionic surfactants. 1-1 mixture of SKC and AEO: EC50=80.17mg/L, 1-1 mixture of SDBS and AEO: EC50=624.34mg/L. These results provided ecological parameters for the selection of surfactants in the process of ecological leather production. Take-Away: 1. The toxicity measurement by luminescent bacteria, which is simple and convenient, was used to evaluate the toxicity of surfactants, and the reproducibility was improved in our study. 2. The toxicities of six different surfactants was evaluated by EC50 which provided ecological parameters for the selection of surfactants in the process of ecological leather production.

Software Projects Risk Management Support Tool / Software Projects Risk Management Support Tool

Gabriš, Ondrej January 2011 (has links)
