TITLE: CLIL Implementation Into Primary School Teaching AUTHOR: PhDr. Petra Vallin DEPARTMENT: Department of Primary School Education, Faculty of Education, Charles University SUPERVISOR: Prof. PhDr. Vladimíra Spilková, CSc. ABSTRACT: This thesis deals with the Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) which the European Union finds as a useful tool for teaching foreign languages in the 21st century. The objective of the theoretical part is to clarify the concept of CLIL and compare different interpretations and models which appears in school practice. We also focus on meta-analysis of research studies that have been undertaken in this area since 2005. The theoretical part provides insight into the history of CLIL in selected European countries including the Czech Republic. The first part concludes with a chapter on theoretical concepts which CLIL refers to and which are essential for implementation of CLIL. The aim of the empirical part is to implement CLIL into primary school teaching and describe what changes this innovation brings into practice. The empirical part is based on action research methodology which enable our active participation in the project of CLIL implementation. TITLE: Use of Drama in Education in lessons of Literary Education in 2nd class of the Primary School AUTHOR: Lenka Hájková DEPARTMENT: Primary Education Department SUPERVISOR: Mgr. et Mgr. Irena Hanyš Holemá, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the use of drama education in classes of literary education in the 2nd grade of elementary school. It compares two second classes at elementary school to understanding the main idea in fairy tales through dramatic education and the method of reading with questions. The theoretical part is focused on drama education, its methods, techniques, preparátory games and exercises, Framework Educational Program and literary education. The basis of the practical part was the realization of 5 lessons in dramatic education and 5 lessons of literary education in two second classes on 5 fairy tales with lessons. After 14 days, a test was conducted to determine whether dramatic education contributed in literary classes to improving and understanding the substance. The aim of this thesis is the analysis, design and implementation of a data bridge between the information system of the company Sledovanitv.cz, s.r.o. and the economic system. The first part describes the objectives of the project. The theoretical part provides the necessary foundation for the implementation and, in addition to the theoretical background of information systems as a whole it presents and describes the technologies used for the execution of the implementation. The needs and requirements for future expansion are determined based on the analysis of the current situation. The practical part introduces a proposed solution, the method and procedure of implementation. In the final part, the author gives an assessment of the practical and economic benefits of the project.

Specifika výuky dějin 20. století na 2. stupni základní školy / Specifics of teaching history of the 20th century in upper primary schools

This diploma thesis deals with the teaching specificity of the history of the 20th century in upper primary schools and with methodical drafts of selected thematic units of the same period. The thesis puts emphasis on problems related to teaching on the 20th century. The work summarizes theoretical knowledge of teaching on the history of the 20th century and follows up the classification of this historical period into the General educational program for basic education. Methods and strategies suitable for teaching the history of the 20th century and the approach how to give lessons about controversial and delicate topics in history are also included in the present thesis. The methodical drafts of selected thematic units from the history of the 20th century are one part of the thesis. These drafts were worked out in respect of using various teaching styles and educational strategies. The thesis also pays attention to the utilization of didactic media in the teaching of history.
