Diploma thesis is focused on the function of the small town Ivančice as a center of a rural micro-region. In my work, I evaluate the literature on problems of small towns and rural areas. Then I describe demographic and environmental characteristics of the area. Based on my own research and questionnaire survey, I present the development potential of the microregion Ivančice.

This thesis deals with evaluation of Židlochovicko microregion´s development potential. Židlochovicko is a part of South-Moravian region. In theoretical part there are determined basic definitions related to this topic, general information about Židlochovicko microregion and approach of tourism of this area. Practical part is dedicated to detailed characterization of dealt area. There is a processing of physical-geographical conditions, ecological aspects in this area, with the inclusion of landscaping and cultural-social conditions and economical relations of this microregion. Based on questionnaires and SWOT analysis methods it was found out, that microregion has a great potential in tourism. Then semi-structured interviews were lead with representatives of chosen villages. Those representatives agreed on the importance of current and future cooperation of all villages, that are members of Židlochovicko microregion.

This thesis explores the issue of tourism in the Bystřice region and the opportunities it provides for development of the whole microregion. Complex characteristics of the microregion are described, covering aspects of nature, demography and economy. Furthermore, points of interest and infrastructure of local tourism are explained. Part of the thesis presents an evaluation of the business statistics of sample of accommodation facilities. The final part of the thesis is focused on a strategy for the development of the Bystřice microregion and its approved and planned development projects. In conclusion, opportunities for the development of tourism are proposed.

The thesis on the problematic of country tourist industry and its developement, being aplied on specific region - Ivančice microregion. The goal of the thesis is to determine potential of rural tourism developement and also to uncover the obstacles that can limit successful developement of this branch. In the theoretical part the knowledge from literature focusing on problematic of rural tourism is included. The second part includes the characteristics of microregion as well as the evaluation of the contemporary situation in rural tourism business. And in the final part are identified opportunities and obstacles of the possible developement.

This diploma thesis deals with the processing of a strategic analysis and the proposal of a strategic plan for the development of the microregion Lomnicko. The theoretical part of the work focuses on strategic planning, including the process of drawing up a strategic plan. The practical part consists of two parts. The analytical part of the strategy is the situational analysis and the SWOT analysis based on it. The second part is the development of strategic part of the plan, where strategic aims, priorities and development activities are formulated. This work also proposes the implementation of the plan with the help of which stated objectives are accomplished.

The following bachelor thesis focuses on analysis of the selected demographic and economic indicators in socio-economically disadvantaged microregions such as Vranovsko, Hornacko and Mala Hana in the years 2001-2011. In this timeframe the indicators of population trends, age index, level of entrepreneurial activity, unemployment rate are being analyzed and compared to those in the South Moravian Region. Their socio-economic situation is evaluated on the basis of the obtained data. The evaluated microregions are further subjugated to analysis of the basic demographic processes displayed by dint of the demographic characteristics (birth rate, mortality, natural reproduction, migration). By using of the time series compensation method and suitable mathematic function their development trend is predicted until the year 2020.

The diploma thesis aimed at "Strategic plan of the microregion Moravskokrumlovsko" focuses on forming a strategic development plan for the microregion Moravskokrumlovsko. The thesis is divided into several parts. The first part, a literature search, includes a determination of basic terms and a method for forming the strategic plan. The second part of the thesis, the work itself, contains the socioeconomic analysis of the microregion Moravskokrumlovsko which is evaluated through the SWOT analysis. The thesis also includes an interrogatory survey. The strategic plan and the key areas that should be developed in the microregion in the future are proposed. Finally, there are evaluated total results of the analysis and possible recommendations are presented.

The diploma thesis is focused on the evaluation of the tourism potential in the microregion Rokytná and on possibilities of tourism development. At first, a literature review was made, with the basic terms such as tourism, regional development and sustainable development, there were also described methods for assessing tourism potential. Afterwards, microregion Rokytná was characterized and the tourism potential in territory was evaluated according to method by Bína (2010), which was modified for the evaluation of the microregion. It was also made the analysis of urban plans of two selected villages in the microregion. In the end, measures to support the development of tourism and indicators for monitoring the effectiveness of the suggested measures were proposed.
