Pták, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
This project deals with combinational digital circuits and their optimization. First there are presented main levels of abstraction utilized in the design of combinational digital circuits. Afterwards different methods are surveyed for optimization of combinational digital circuits. The next part of this project is mainly devoted to evolutionary algorithms, their common characteristics and branches: genetic algorithms, evolutionary strategies, evolutionary programming and genetic programming. The variant of genetic programming called Cartesian Genetic Programming (CGP) and the use of CGP in various areas, particularly in the synthesis and optimization of combinational logic circuits are described in detail. The project also discusses some modifications of CGP and the scalability problem of evolutionary circuit design. Consequential part of this thesis describes the method for evolution resynthesis of combinational digital circuits. There is description of design, especially the method of splitting circuits into subcircuits, and implementation details. Finally experiments with these method and their results are described.

DESIGN, STRESS ANALYSES AND LIMIT LOAD OF SANDWICH STRUCTURES / DESIGN, STRESS ANALYSES AND LIMIT LOAD OF SANDWICH STRUCTURES

Löffelmann, František January 2021 (has links)

Charakterizace mikropohybu a jeho vliv na systematické posuvy frekvence kvadrupólového přechodu iontu vápníku zachyceného v Paulově pasti / Characterization of micro-motion and its influence on systematic frequency shifts of quadrupole transition of Calcium ion trapped in Paul trap

Vadlejch, Daniel January 2020 (has links)
This thesis deals with the analysis of micromotion of a single charged calcium ion trapped inside the linear Paul's ion trap and the influence of residual micromotion on the systematic frequency shifts of the clock transition of calcium ion. The fundamental properties of the motion of an ion confined within linear Paul's ion trap are shown in general using a theoretical description. The micromotion component of the overall motion is especially emphasized. A model expressing micromotion in the axial direction of the trap is introduced on the basis of the results of the numerical calculation of electric fields inside the trap. The model is compared to the reality experimentally. Then, the photon-correlation method of detection of micromotion is introduced and subsequently used to minimize and to estimate a measure of residual micromotion in all spacial directions. According to the achievable measure of residual micromotion, the systematic frequency shifts caused by this micromotion are estimated. It can be seen that we are able to reach uncertainties of the relative frequency shifts due to micromotion below 10^20. We expect that uncertainty of total motional systematic frequency shift is in our case limited by thermal motion.

Výpočet optimálního skluzového kmitočtu asynchronního motoru pro minimalizaci ztrát / Calculation of optimum slip frequency of induction motor for minimisation of its losses

Bednařík, Václav January 2014 (has links)
This master’s thesis focuses on the minimisation of losses by calculation of optimum slip frequency of induction motor. The next point of this master‘s thesis is supersaturation. Supersaturation must be solved for the size of losses, because of the effect that is cause of the losses, when current increases with saturation. However current is not increase proportionally with increasing saturation, but increases several times more. This problem is included in the calculation of the slip frequency. Optimum of slip frequency is solve for modified gamma model of induction machine. In the main point of this thesis is outlined the process, how the optimum can be found. With same process were already were found the equations, but they were too extensit. In the end is solved the optimum of slip frequency be minimum of the flux density.

Návrh a optimalizace prostoru hydrostatické kapsy / Design and optimization of hydrostatic pocket space

Minář, Petr January 2011 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with an optimization of hydrostatic slide of the large-portal gantry machine FRU (TOS Kuřim). First part of the thesis concerns with an analysis of the current practice in hydrostatic guides in the field of heavy gantry machines, an usage of alternative materials for a construction of carrying parts of machines, and possibilities of current simulation methods. Aim of the second part of this thesis is a brief clarification of the principle of mathematical optimization, and creation of general methodology of construction optimization by means of system analysis. Optimization calculations were processed by ANSYS Workbench 11.0. There is achieved adjusted and optimized design of the hydrostatic slide as the result of the thesis. Moreover, the comparison of key deformations was added. Created methodology is applicable in both an area of construction of gantry machines, and a wide spectrum of construction fields.

Využití genetických algoritmů při optimalizaci procesů v elektroenergetice / Optimalization of Power Electric Engineering Processes by Genetic Algorithms

Paar, Martin January 2009 (has links)
Current trends in regulation of electricity supply continuity in the power engineering industry includes introduction of systems and customers standards. The electricity market liberalization in the European Union is speeded up the process furthermore. Companies included in the distribution network bussiness therefore began to be interested more in the evaluation of risks associated with the aplication of these standards. The aim of the thesis is to minimize the expenses caused by power losses of the distribution network by means of distribution network reconfiguration depending on the standard selection. For the minimization two of the Genetic algorithms was selected. As an criterion the overall expenses caused by power losses and the expenses caused by an electricity shortage. Furthermore the influence of the inclusion of the power loss to the calculation on the operation costs for given regulation standards. Two contemporary standards - finish and portugues - are considered together with three experimental standards. The aim of including experimental standards is to complete the regulation standards with parameters uncovered in the portuguese and finish standard. The results described in the thesis can be used in the distribution network optimization process from the point of reliability and operational costs.

Redukce nedeterministických konečných automatů / Reduction of the Nondeterministic Finite Automata

Procházka, Lukáš January 2011 (has links)
Nondeterministic finite automaton is an important tool, which is used to process strings in many different areas of programming. It is important to try to reduce its size for increasing programs' effectiveness. However, this problem is computationally hard, so we need to search for new techniques. Basics of finite automata are described in this work. Some methods for their reduction are then introduced. Usable reduction algorithms are described in greater detail. Then they are implemented and tested. The test results are finally evaluated.

Výtvarný a hudební minimalismus / Minimal art and minimal music

Šedinová, Pavla January 2011 (has links)
Pavla Šedinová: Minimal art and minimal music Abstract: This thesis focuses on the theoretical description of minimalism in the fine arts and music. It follows the progression of minimisation in art in the first half of the twentieth century, which culminates in minimal art and minimal music, and compares its principles with multiplication in the work of Andy Warhol and Velvet Underground. At the same time the paper discusses the difference between American minimalism and its European and Czech parallels. The aim of this thesis is describing main concepts of minimalism that could be relevant for teaching purposes. The pedagogical part of the thesis focuses on the manner in which the obtained information about the fine arts and music could be utilised in teaching, particularly in Elementary Art Schools. The practical part demonstrates my own approach to minimalist principles.

Demokratický deficit EU: možnosti vývoje / Democratic deficit of the EU: options of evolvement

Tomášová, Tereza January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis " Democratic deficit of the EU: options of evolvement" deals with democracy and democratic legitimacy of the European Union. It represents a particular concept of the EU's democratic deficit, which is ambiguous term, but generally indicates a lack of democracy- particularly the lack of popular participation in the governance or a lack of democratic legitimacy of EU institutions and decision-making. The aim of my work was, according to the hypotheses to determine what is causing the EU's democratic deficit, whether it is a serious problem that should be addressed at European level, and if so, what are the possibilities for minimizing or further evolvement. To explore this issue further, I examine the theory of democratic legitimacy in the introduction and divide it into the "input and output" legitimacy. Subsequently, I also introduced methodology and the current debate on democratic deficit in the leading periodicals, dealing with the EU and think tanks. The second part deals with the history of the democratic deficit and its various definitions, follows with a presentation of my two hypotheses dealing with the question whether or not the EU's democratic deficit is a problem. In the third part, my two hypotheses are tested on the project of the Single European Sky, which aims to...
