Vícetónová modulace realizovaná bankou filtrů / Multitone Modulation Implemented via Filter BankKrajsa, Ondřej January 2011 (has links)
The work is focused on multitone modulation implemented by filter banks, which are alternative modulations to DMT and OFDM modulations. The paper describes the two proposed modulation schemes, non-overlapped FMT and half-overlapped FMT. This modulations utilize the benefits of implementing FFT algorithm in conjunction with a bank of polyphase filters that are derived from the prototype filter. To design the prototype filter a Matlab tool is developed. For both modulations the simulation models were created for xDSL systems and for wireless transmission channel. Non-overlapped FMT modulation proved to be a suitable modulation scheme for channels with narrowband interference and sharp edges in the transmission function of the channel. It was allowed by perfect separation of each subchannel and with preserving the orthogonality between subchannels using the FFT algorithm and utilization of appropriate filters. Half-overlapped FMT modulation allows as well as the DMT modulation optimal utilization of provided transmittion band, because the power spectral density of the signal is flat. But it is not suitable for transmission channels with roughly shaped by changes in the transmission function and narrowband interference. Optimization implementations were designed using parallel processing on the DSP Texas Instruments TMS320C67x series. It thus achieved almost ten-fold reduction in computational complexity. In FMT modulation both options ensure increased signal to noise ratio and thus allow the use of constellation diagrams with a large number of signal elements with the same transmit power and also higher transmission speed.

This master’s thesis describes RF power amplifier design. The designed amplifier has been built. The first three chapters outline basics about radio frequency amplifiers. The basic theory needed for amplifier implementation is also described there. In the fourth chapter the power amplifier is designed. The design is based on the theoretical knowledge. Complete amplifier contains RF preamplifier, power amplifier and filters. The OrCAD PSpice, Ansoft Designer SV and EAGLE programs have been used for the design and verification of some sections of circuits. Measurement results of the built amplifier are in the fifth chapter. This thesis contains also the draft for laboratory exercise.

The master´s thesis deals with theoretical research and practical application of the principle of spreading acoustic waves through nonlinear medium. The theoretical part describes five different types of amplitude modulation and their mathematic representation, which were verified by the program Matlab. Next, the impedance characteristic of ultrasound PZT transducer was measured and the design of PWM modulator and class D amplifier was described. The practical part of the master´s thesis contains the realization of the parametric loudspeaker assembled from the class D amplifier and the PWM modulator. In conclusion, the designed parametric loudspeaker was measured and the individual types of amplitude modulation were compared with respect to the total harmonic distortion of transmitted useful signal.

The diploma thesis is focused on the transmediality and adaptation phenomena and on the process of adaptation translation into the performative medium, a movie. The phenomena are grounded in the academical background, and their origin and historical development of their studies are contained in the theoretical part of the thesis. Furthermore, the different approaches to evaluation of the final product of the adaptation process are analyzed and it is explained that the evaluation of the adaptation is not bound by the fidelity criteria, but rather the overall transformation of the original message into the new media, in this case a movie. Due to these findings, the method of qualitative comparative analysis was used for the analytical part of the thesis. The qualitative research was focused mainly on the adaptation shifts as defined by Katerina Perdikaki, modulation, modification, mutation. Four biographical books of well- known personalities and their subsequent movie adaptations were analyzed. From these stories, four key moments were chosen to be used for the qualitative comparative analysis in order to research the adaptation shifts in the individual stories and their impact on the process of the creation of the adaptation and the final performative piece. Disertační práce se zabývá optickým digitálně-analogovým převodníkem, jako alternativou optické části koncové vysílací jednotky (optický front-end) určené pro VLC (visible light communication) aplikace. Stěžejní část práce, která se věnuje numerickému modelování optického kanálu, prezentuje vliv bitové hloubky, topologie koncové části optického vysílače a geometrického uspořádání na přenášený signál. Součástí práce je návrh, realizace a ověření parametrů optického digitálně-analogového převodníku vycházející z předcházejících simulací. V poslední řadě práce obsahuje demonstraci vysokorychlostní optické komunikace s využitím navrženého VLC optického vysílače.

Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl seznámit čtenáře se základním konceptem a principy jednosmyčkových modulátorů . Diplomová práce ozřejmuje čtenáři problematiku delta-sigma () modulátorů s jednou zpětnovazební smyčkou. Zabývá se základními principy převzorkování u číslicově-analogových převodníků a rozšiřuje je o teorii tvarování spektra šumu. Vycházeje z této teorie jsou navrženy tři jednosmyčkové modulátory, které běží na 1024 OSR jako alternativa k běžně používáným modulátorům vysokých řádů. Modulátory jsou implementovány do FPGA společně s rekonstrukčním filtrem a podpůrnými bloky. Nakonec byl zkonstruován hardwarový prototyp pro vyhodnocení implementace navrženého DAC.
