1	EYOWF 2011 a mytologické postupy v marketingových strategiích kampaně (sémiotická analýza) / EYOWF 2011 and mytologization of the comercial strategies in a market campaigning (discoursive and semiotic analysis) Hoffmannová, Aneta January 2013 (has links) The diploma thesis "EYOWF 2011 and mythologization of the commercial strategies in a market campaign" deals with a semiotic analysis and mythologization of the promotional video for 10th European Youth Olympic Winter Festival 2011. This study is drawn up as semiotic analysis comprised of the theories of symbolic interactionism and mythologization as a secondary narrative. The thesis is based on theories of the meaning construction and the terminology of the linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, a French semiotican Ronald Barthes and a triadical concept of the sign by Charles Sanders Peirce. The study works on the construction of a commercial message, market communication and use of the specific sign as a primary structural element. An analyzed sample is an audiovisual commercial - 2 minutes and 52 seconds which contents the elements of the entire communicative campaign. The used method is a semiotic analysis which offers insights via description and interpretation of the particular encoded signs. The main focus is concentrating on the camera take and cuts, graphics, colour, characters and the entire mythologization process.
2	Formování názoru a postoje k rozpadu SSSR a následující dekády 90. let u ruské mládeže / Opinion and Attitude Formation by Russian Youths on the Fall of the USSR and the following 1990s Storozheva, Olga January 2020 (has links) The purpose of the research work was to discover and describe the main characteristics of young people's ideas about the collapse of the USSR and the 1990s in Russia as well as to define the specific features of opinion and attitude formation. The time frame of targeted historical period is between 1991 and 1999/2000, from the Soviet coup d'état attempt in 1991 to the time when Boris Yeltsin Russian president of that time appointed Vladimir Putin as his successor in 1999/2000. In order to achieve this goal, more than 30 interviews with young people from Moscow, Kazan, and Novosibirsk were collected and analyzed. As a result, several types of images of the collapse of the USSR and the 90s were formed; the role of school, family and media in the process of image formation were described, some historical myths were identified, and four types of historical opinion formations of young Russians were structured and named. 3	Like pilgrims to this moment : myth, history, and politics in the early writing of Seamus Heaney and Leonard Cohen Ward, Caitlin 23 December 2008 This thesis examines the early work of poets Leonard Cohen and Seamus Heaney in light of their treatment of mythology, ritual, and mythologization, moving either from personal to political awareness (Heaney), or from political to personal awareness (Cohen). Heaney, writing in the midst of the Irish Troubles throughout the late 1960s and 1970s, slowly works up to political awareness as the situation from which he is writing becomes more dire. By contrast, Cohen writes during the beginnings of the Quiet Revolution in Quebec, from the late 1950s to the mid-1960s, moving progressively farther away from the highly political and mythologized work of his first book. This thesis analyzes both poets first four books of poetry and how each poet addresses the politics of his historical time and place as a minority figure: an Irish Catholic in Northern Ireland, and an Anglophone Jew in Montreal, respectively. Ultimately, each poet chooses to mythologize and use traditional mythologies as a means of addressing contemporary horrors before being poetically (and politically) exhausted by the spiritual and mental exertion involved in the "poetry of disfigurement."
