A k-nearest neighbour technique for experience-based adaptation of assembly stations

Scrimieri, Daniele, Ratchev, S.M. 04 March 2020 (has links)
Yes / We present a technique for automatically acquiring operational knowledge on how to adapt assembly systems to new production demands or recover from disruptions. Dealing with changes and disruptions affecting an assembly station is a complex process which requires deep knowledge of the assembly process, the product being assembled and the adopted technologies. Shop-floor operators typically perform a series of adjustments by trial and error until the expected results in terms of performance and quality are achieved. With the proposed approach, such adjustments are captured and their effect on the station is measured. Adaptation knowledge is then derived by generalising from individual cases using a variant of the k-nearest neighbour algorithm. The operator is informed about potential adaptations whenever the station enters a state similar to one contained in the experience base, that is, a state on which adaptation information has been captured. A case study is presented, showing how the technique enables to reduce adaptation times. The general system architecture in which the technique has been implemented is described, including the role of the different software components and their interactions.

Návrh a aplikace heuristických metod při rozvozu objednávek zákazníkům společnosti NIKOL NÁPOJE a. s. / Design and application of heuristics in distribution of ordered products to the consumers of NIKOL NÁPOJE a. s. company

Solnická, Veronika January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with the optimization of distribution of products to consumers based on a real case study of a particular company from Opava. For this purpose, a mathematical optimization model is used to illustrate the vehicle routing problem. The study will also offer an explanation on the relevancy of heuristic methods, mainly with respect to their application in solving real life situations analogous to the one surveyed. On the basis of chosen heuristic methods (i.e. the nearest neighbour algorithm and the savings algorithm) and having taken into account the restricting conditions of the company, four algorithms were designed. These four algorithms are programmed in Visual Basic for Applications MS Excel 2007. They are aimed at solving the real problems with the distribution of ordered products that the particular company must deal with. The thesis compares the results provided by an employee of this company, and the results presented by the designed algorithms.

Optimalizace rozvozu pekárenských výrobků / Optimization of distribution of bakery goods

Gebauerová, Monika January 2010 (has links)
This thesis deals with the optimization of distribution of bakery products. Firstly there are the fundamental types of vehicle routing problems and their optimization models introduced. Next part is dedicated to heuristic algorithms. The heuristic methods are introduced in general, then there are the chosen methods described. Later there are two chosen algorithms formulated. First one based on the nearest neighbour method and another one based on the savings algorithm. Both of algorithms were programmed in the Visual Basic of Applications MS Excel 2010. These algorithms were applied for the solution of the real problem dealing with the distribution of goods. The bakery company has provided the data about its customers for this purpose. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to the summary and comparison of the solution of the assigned problem that was gained by the proposed algorithms with the solution that the bakery company has put into practice.

Optimization and Bayesian Modeling of Road Distance for Inventory of Potholes in Gävle Municipality / Optimering och bayesiansk modellering av bilvägsavstånd för inventering av potthål i Gävle kommun

Lindblom, Timothy Rafael, Tollin, Oskar January 2022 (has links)
Time management and distance evaluation have long been a difficult task for workers and companies. This thesis studies 6712 pothole coordinates in Gävle municipality, and evaluates the minimal total road distance needed to visit each pothole once, and return to an initial pothole. Road distance is approximated using the flight distance and a simple random sample of 113 road distances from Google Maps. Thereafter, the data from the sample along with a Bayesian approach is used to find a distribution of the ratio between road distance and flight distance. Lastly, a solution to the shortest distance is devised using the Nearest Neighbor algorithm (NNA) and Simulated Annealing (SA). Computational work is performed with Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC). The results provide a minimal road distance of 717 km.

Zpracování obrazových sekvencí sítnice z fundus kamery / Processing of image sequences from fundus camera

Klimeš, Filip January 2015 (has links)
