Fotografie prezidentských kandidátů v českém tisku před prezidentskými volbami 2013 / Photographs of presidential candidates in czech newspapers ahead of elections of 2013

Bednaříková, Barbora January 2015 (has links)
Master's thesis Photographs of Presidential Candidates in Czech Newspapers ahead of Elections of 2013 compares the visual coverage of nine presidential candidates in the photographs published in three national broadsheet newspapers Lidové noviny, Právo and Hospodářské noviny during the period of four weeks before the first Czech direct presidential elections in January 2013. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes literature probing the visual framing of politics and the influence of photographic images in media on audiences and their decisions in elections. The quantitative content analysis compares the number of each candidate's pictures in the Czech press in order to determine whether the visual coverage was balanced or not and whether this could have affected the election results. It also verifies the hypothesis that newspapers tend to publish more pictures of the candidates with similar political orientation. Besides that, the thesis also compares how each of the journals uses photography illustration by examining the size, placement, type, caption length and authorship of the pictures.

Fotografická tvorba v časopisech Pestrý týden a LIFE / A content analysis of photographs in magazine Pestrý týden and Life magazine

Oulová, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The thesis "A content analysis of photographs in Pestry tyden and LIFE magazine" analyses two successful magazines of the first half of the 20th century. Intentionally, two periodicals of different origin (Czechoslovakia and the United States) are compared to investigate the assumption that the different origin has major influence on the overall concept and focus of the periodicals. The subject of this study is the selection of volumes of 1937-1945, the period of the greatest success of both magazines. The study aims not only at describing the contents of the periodicals but also at situating them into social, political and art-historical context. The study is based on a theoretical part which gives a general overview of photojournalism and tracks the slow beginning of journalistic photography and the birth of the first illustrated magazines. This part also deals with technological development which made possible quality image journalism. The study does not leave out numerous restrictions, e. g. censorship, which were a frequent point of struggle for the magazines' authors. Key words: illustrated magazines, magazine photography, photojournalism, documentary photography, war photography, censorship, propaganda

Zvukový a audiovizuální záznam jako důkaz v civilním procesu / Sound and Audiovisual Records as an Evidence in Civil Proceedings

Petržílek, Ivo January 2012 (has links)
TITLE: Sound and Audiovisual Records as an Evidence in Civil Proceedings AUTHOR: Ivo Petržílek DEPARTMENT: Department of Civil law SUPERVISOR: doc. JUDr. Alena Macková, Ph.D. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with the problems of inadmissibility of evidence by the audio and video recordings in civil proceedings. Attention is focused mainly on problems of using illegally obtained records as proofs. Diploma searches for the solution to the contemporary course which seems to be ineffectual. The thesis is divided into six chapters. The first and second chapters introduce the theoretical basis of proving in civil proceedings. The third chapter refers to the evidence by the sound and audiovisual records in the area of civil proceedings and deals with the main factors of its potential proving use. In the fourth chapter author deals with the collision of basic rights and interests, especially with the general personality right and the interest of effective Justice and proposes a Proportionality test as the solution. The fifth chapter contains a comparison of the Czech and German case law. Finally, the last, sixth chapter summarizes the most important findings and concludes the thesis. KEYWORDS: audio and video recordings, general personality right, proportionality test, inadmissible evidence, proving

Využitelnost obrazových pomůcek a dalších metod a technik učení pro osvojování vybraných oblastí českého pravopisu žáky cizinci s ohledem na styly a typy učení / Usefulness of visual aids and other teaching methods and techniques for learning selected areas of Czech orthography by foreign pupils with regard to styles and types of learning

Bařtipánová, Petra January 2018 (has links)
The diploma thesis focuses on how it is suitable for pupils with different mother tongue to learn selected orthographic phenomena. The aim of the thesis is to find out which activities or methods the teacher can use to achieve the highest memorability of orthographic phenomena by pupils with a different mother tongue with respect to their teaching types and styles. High attention is paid to the method of working with visual aids. This diploma thesis focuses on problematic orthographic phenomena taught from the third to the fifth year of elementary school, which are difficult to justify for pupils with a different mother tongue. To achieve the highest quality of research several qualitative methods were used, namely observation, testing and semi-structured interviews with pupils and class teachers. The knowledge presented in the theoretical part of the thesis is an important basis for the processing of the empirical part itself. Within the empirical part, I elaborated a case study of nine pupils with a different mother tongue. The results of the survey show that the ready-made visual aids helped most pupils. During preparation of three lessons, I took into account all the learning types and styles, which proved to be effective. On the other hand, the dominance of type or style has not always been...

Koevoluce obrazových filtrů a prediktorů fitness / Coevolution of Image Filters and Fitness Predictors

Trefilík, Jakub January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with employing coevolutionary principles to the image filter design. Evolutionary algorithms are very advisable method for image filter design. Using coevolution, we can add the processes, which can accelerate the convergence by interactions of candidate filters population with population of fitness predictors. Fitness predictor is a small subset of the training set and it is used to approximate the fitness of the candidate solutions. In this thesis, indirect encoding is used for predictors evolution. This encoding represents a mathematical expression, which selects training vectors for candidate filters fitness prediction. This approach was experimentally evaluated in the task of image filters for various intensity of random impulse and salt and pepper noise design and the design of the edge detectors. It was shown, that this approach leads to adapting the number of target objective vectors for a particular task, which leads to computational complexity reduction.

Visipedia - Embedding-driven Visual Feature Extraction and Learning / Visipedia - Embedding-driven Visual Feature Extraction and Learning

Jakeš, Jan January 2014 (has links)

On-line Analýza Dat s Využitím Vizuálních Slovníků / On-line Data Analysis Based on Visual Codebooks

Beran, Vítězslav Unknown Date (has links)
