Evaluation eines neuen Bibliothekssystems für das Bundesverwaltungsgericht in Leipzig

Wiedenhaupt, Luisa 30 June 2023 (has links)
Einleitung 2. 3D Vision Measurement System for Intelligent Open-Die Forging Center

Li, Bing 09 1900 (has links)
In this thesis, a 3-D vision system is established to conduct the real-time measurement task for intelligent-open-die forging center. This system consists of a CCD camera, a slit alaser projector and a Kawasaki JS 6-axis robot all interfaced to a PC for image processing. The linear structured light technique is employed for data acquisition. An optical filtering algorithm for laser stripe segmentation is developed to locate the stripe peak positions to sub-pixel accuracy. A new calibration method is proposed to determine the mapping correspondence from 2-D image pixels to 3-D reference points. A cylindrical scanning scheme is applied to gather data about the 3-D shape of parts, so that the overlap problem is easily avoided. Finally, the cross-section at any place along the height of a workpiece is reconstructed so as to detect shape error for adaptive control of automated open-die forging. This vision system is low-cost, accurate and reliable. A cylinder shape has been successfully reconstructed and measured with it. The experimental results illustrating its performance are reported and discussed. / Thesis / Master of Applied Science (MASc)

Exploring educators experiences implementing open educational practices

Paskevicius, Michael 17 December 2018 (has links)
This research focuses on how educators are using openly accessible sources of knowledge and open-source tools in ways that impact their pedagogical designs. Using a phenomenological approach with self-identifying open education practitioners, I explore how open educational practices (OEP) are being actualized in formal higher education and impacting learning design. Specifically, I examine how educators are bringing elements of openness into their everyday teaching and learning practice using educational technologies. I draw upon Giddens (1986) structuration theory, further developed for use in technology adoption research most notably by DeSanctis and Poole (1994) and Orlikowski (2000). This approach positions technologies as being continually socially constructed, interpreted, and put into practice. In an organizational context, the use of technology is intrinsically linked with institutional properties, rules and norms, as well as individual perceptions and knowledge. The findings suggest that OEP represents an emerging form of learning design, which draws from existing models of constructivist and networked pedagogy. Open technologies are being used to support and enable active learning experiences, presenting and sharing learners work in real-time, allowing for formative feedback, peer review, and ultimately, promoting community-engaged coursework. By designing learning in this way, faculty offer learners an opportunity to consider and practice developing themselves as public citizens and develop the knowledge and literacies for working with copyright and controlling access to their online contributions, while presenting options for extending some of those rights to others. Inviting learners to share their work widely, demonstrates to them that their work has inherent value beyond the course and can be an opportunity to engage with their community. Molecular genomics of primary open-angle glaucoma. / CUHK electronic theses & dissertations collection

January 2010 (has links)
Apart from associated genes, a candidate causative gene NTF4 was screened and two novel putative mutations (Gly157Ala and Ala182Val) detected, likely accounting for 0.29% of POAG. In the exploration of new POAG genes, two functional candidates CNTF and SPARC were screened and excluded. / Differential association profiles were found for SNPs in/near CAV1, CAV2, CYP46A1, LMX1B, PLXDC2, TLR4, TMTC2, ZP4 and 2p16.3. SNPs at CAV1, CAV2, TLR4 and 2p16.3 were associated with POAG, whilst SNPs around other genes were unlikely to be risk factors for the disease, at least in Chinese. TLR4 rs7037117 was associated with HTG in southern Chinese (P=0.0016, OR=2.72, recessive model). SNP rs1533428 at 2p16.3 showed an age-specific association of with late-onset POAG (age at diagnosis >60 years; P=1.14x10-5, OR=2.02, dominant model) but not with juvenile- and adult-onset POAG. Moreover, rs1533428 formed a joint effect with rs7037117 to confer stronger risk to HTG (P=2.8x10 -4, OR=4.53). Besides, rs4236601 near the CAV1 and CAV2 genes was confirmed as a risk factor for POAG and another two protective SNPs rs6975771 and rs959173 were identified; moreover, that the risk and protective alleles were located in different haplotypes suggested multiple roles of the genes. / Glaucoma is a group of degenerative optic neuropathies and the leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide. Primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) is a major type of glaucoma in most populations. It is classified into high-tension glaucoma (HTG) and normal-tension glaucoma (NTG) according to the level of intraocular pressure. POAG has complex etiology. It could be monogenic or caused by multiple risk factors. At least 22 linkage loci have been mapped, with 3 genes (MYOC, OPTN, and WDR36 ) identified. Also, more than 30 susceptibility genes have been reported, many of which, however, remain unverified. / In the mapping of the causal gene at GLC1N, a truncation mutation c.1090delT in the MEGF11 gene was found to be cosegregated with glaucoma in the GLC1N-linked pedigree. Subsequent identification of c.1090delT in an unrelated JOAG patient supported that it is a disease-causing mutation. The identification of four splice-site mutations (IVS17+2insT, IVS17-4C>G, IVS17-2A>G and c.2472A>C) exclusively in patients provided further evidence supporting MEGF11 as a causative gene for POAG. Mutations in this gene likely account for approximately 1% of POAG or 2% of JOAG. / This thesis describes our work on the identification of new POAG genes by using a 3-tiered strategy: (1) to identify new genetic profiles of variants around the CAV1, CAV2, CYP46A1, LMX1B, NTF4, PLXDC2, TLR4, TMTC2, ZP4 genes and the 2p16.3 locus; (2) to evaluate CNTF and SPARC as disease genes for POAG; and (3) to map the causal gene at the GLC1N locus for juvenile-onset POAG (JOAG). / Totally 1645 unrelated participants were enrolled, including a Hong Kong cohort of 281 HTG, 311 NTG and 248 controls, a Shantou cohort of 102 HTG, 28 NTG and 298 controls and, a Beijing cohort of 177 HTG and 200 controls. Also involved were members of the GLC1M-linked Philippine pedigree and the GLC1N-linked Hong Kong pedigree with JOAG, which have been previously described. / Chen, Lijia. / Adviser: Chi Pui Pang. / Source: Dissertation Abstracts International, Volume: 73-02, Section: B, page: . / Thesis (Ph.D.)--Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2010. / Includes bibliographical references (leaves 185-210). / Electronic reproduction. Practical Suggestions for Implementing Open Innovation Practices : Drawing from Open Innovation Practices at Nokia and Procter & Gamble

Olgac, Deniz, Selberg, Sara January 2009 (has links)

The purpose of this thesis is to extract and provide practical knowledge and examples from both theory and practice in order to clarify some practices that can be used in the implementation of open innovation. It can be of interest for whomever willing to gain an insight into the practical features of open innovation and for companies considering, or struggling with the implementation of open innovation.

The study was approached with a qualitative and interpretive method. Secondary sources were used exclusively to review the practical aspects of open innovation in theory and practice. Open innovation practice at Nokia Corp. and the Procter & Gamble Company were researched and reported using studies of other authors as well as the companies’ own publications.

The classification of open innovation practices in contemporary literature is not sufficient to provide an understanding for the various types of open innovation practices that can be applied and used in practice. A classification based on types of activities is presented by the authors, and practical suggestions regarding design and implementation concludes the thesis.
