Senzor vlnoplochy / Wavefront sensorŠkaroupka, David January 2020 (has links)
When the light passes through optical elements it can cause deformation of wavefront light due to the damage of materials and optical aberrations. The deformation leads to unprecise imaging and deformation of an image. The diploma work mentions wavefront sensing techniques which are important for determination inappropriate errors of optical elements and the specification of their properties. The purpose of the master's thesis is to suggest and investigate wavefront sensing methods after the light passes through the optical element while using the digital micromirror device. The work deals with the topic of wavefront aberrations and geometric optical defects of optical elements. Different kinds of commercial products determined for wavefront sensing are described too.

Metodika měření optické páteřní sítě / Methodology for the measurement of optical arterial networkChleboun, Jan January 2010 (has links)
There are methods to extend the transmission channel of optical transmission medium thanks to the development of telecommunications and informatics. Multiplex is a grouping of signals into a single transmission path and wave-division multiplexing is the best reason of use of the maximum fiber optic transmission capacity. The subject of this work is to determine whether a particular transmission path is suitable for such an extension of their capacity and how much. The answer is obtained by measuring the attenuation, the chromatic dispersion and the polarization mode dispersion, whose values are strictly limited and which determine next steps in the expansion of the transmission path, which is comprised by optical medium. Measurement methods determine the nature of the measured route and its current transmission capacities. Draft of the measurement methodology, which ensures the correct procedures during a possible transition to higher speeds is the output of this work. Thanks to the acquired characteristics of the BAPS (the Brno Academic Computer Network), the bit rate 40 Gb/s can be provided on this part of the network under the conditions of the introduction of certain countermeasures, particularly the exchange of a connectors on the measured optical lines. As for the back reflection lines in excess of the standard recommendation and pre-emptively on the lines with values with still agree with the return loss. Countermeasure for limiting of the chromatic and the polarization mode dispersion are do not need to stand in the way of a planned transition to a higher rate of the BAPS.

Experimentální sady z optiky pro Interaktivní fyzikální laboratoř / Experimental sets in optics for Interactive Physics LaboratoryMachalická, Jana January 2017 (has links)
Title: Experimental sets in optics for Interactive Physics Laboratory Author: Jana Machalická Department: Department of Physics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Petr Kácovský, Ph.D., Department of Physics Education Abstract: As part of this thesis, a literature review focused on the topic of optics experiments was conducted. Building on the results of this review, four experimental stations were designed and realized based on the needs of the Interactive Physics Laboratory (IPL), operated by the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University. Corresponding worksheets have also been created and provided to the students participating in each given experiment. The individual experiments, which are focused on the fields of geometrical and wave optics, are described in detail and accompanied by instructions on setting up the stations, as well as important notes on teaching methodology. Following the launch of this Optics experimental suite, a qualitative study exploring the effect of visiting the IPL on the understanding of the related physics concepts was performed by means of a short questionnaire on a small number of respondents. Several conclusions drawn from this study remain as interesting areas of future work. Keywords: physics experiments, labs, optics, secondary school

Studium změn ve spintonických strukturách vyvolaných femtosekunovými laserovými pulzy / Investigation of effects of femtosecond laser pulses on spintronic structuresFarkaš, Andrej January 2021 (has links)
This thesis is focused on a detailed investigation of the optically induced quench switching effect in different films of antiferromagnetic CuMnAs. The quench switching effect was recently discovered to be highly reproducible resistance switch- ing, which can be excited by electrical and optical laser pulses. This thesis com- pares the amplitude response to laser-induced quench switching for samples on the different substrate material, samples with different stoichiometries, and sam- ples with different thicknesses of CuMnAs film. The effects of different ratios between the laser spot and the size of the measured device are investigated, and position-dependent measurements are also presented. It is shown that resistivity change with optical excitation using a single 120 femtosecond laser pulse can, in ideal conditions, reach up to 15% at room temperature, which is comparable with the maximum signal obtained with electrical pulses. All of the measure- ments combined with current knowledge of quench switching illustrate the robust behavior of this mechanism across a wide range of conditions. 1
