Krajinný soubor Štvanický ostrov Praha. Revitalisace a nové využití. / Prague Island Štvanice Revitalisation and new usage

Tomašek, Andrej January 2016 (has links)
In this thesis we focused on analyzing and defying current state and functions of the Štvanice Island. We were dealing with functional and spatial layout of sports activities and traffic situation on the Island with regard to the historical and aesthetical side of this area. We tried to bring back the potential of the park, with better use of current sports activities, and to remove all of the static traffic from the Island. In the process of making this thesis we were focused on defying the state of vegetation, road system and overall functionality of the whole area. In our project we offer urban and landscape solutions which deliver a functional, ecological and aesthetic asset. At the end we dealt with modernization of the part of the Island which is associated with sports activities and free time where we bring new solutions of urban space together with new types of vegetaion. One of the major parts of our project is an underground parking structure which is used for all of the static traffic on the Island. This parking solution brings more natural character for the Island.

DŮM NA ÚPATÍ - MĚSTSKÝ DŮM V HISTORICKÉM CENTRU BRNA / HOUSE ON THE FOOTHILL - TOWN HOUSE IN THE HISTORICAL CENTRE

Veselá, Marie January 2013 (has links)
Potential sites lies not only in its location but also the dominant position it holds to their surroundings. Undeveloped plot represents a "node" or "island" ... loosening strictly linear character Bakery. It is a place which brings together three disparate streams - Classical serious at the running part of Mendel Square, dramatically quarreling upper section flowing into the area from Hus class and insignificant Anenská that, if there "just got lost." All "three" street, however, are closely connected with the plot and the transformation of space clearly indicates their transformation. A distinctive feature of the property is its visual exposure of looking from Mendel Square, the plot creates a "picture" to which the pawn closer. This image should be interesting, changing to attract one's attention for more than just one or two seconds. The image should not least communicate - what is happening on the ground, what links are individual objects ... a landmark and should, for use by infantrymen use. It should also not be attractive from a distance - when one zooms in close proximity, should be surprised by the discovery of something new, something that was not noticeable from a distance, it should be attention to detail, or idea that can be seen only at close contact.

Taxonomie, ekologie a biogeografie sladkovodních a limnoterestrických rozsivek (Bacillariophyceae) v maritimní Antarktidě / Taxonomy, ecology and biogeography of aquatic and limno-terrestrial diatoms (Bacillariophyta) in the Maritime Antartic Region

Kopalová, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)
Diatoms (Bacillariophyta) are one of the most diverse algal groups in the Antarctic Region and play a dominant role in almost all freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems. Despite this overall occurrence, little is known about the diversity, ecology and biogeography of this group in the Maritime Antarctic Region. The main objective of this thesis is therefore to define the taxonomical, ecological and biogeographical characterisation of aquatic, semi- aquatic and moss-inhabiting diatom communities from two islands in the Maritime Antarctic Region: James Ross Island and Livingston Island, located on opposite sides of the Antarctic Peninsula. In this study, a total of 250 samples from three different habitat types (lakes, streams & seepage areas and mosses) from Byers Peninsula (Livingston Island) and Ulu Peninsula (James Ross Island) have been analysed. Using light and scanning electron microscopy, a rather diverse diatom flora composed of 178 taxa, belonging to 43 genera has been identified. Although even until recently, it was generally accepted that the Antarctic diatom flora was mostly composed of cosmopolitan taxa, several new species could be described as a new for science during this PhD study (a reflection of this work is presented in chapters 2 & 3 and in Appendices). Habitat type and...

Nová divočina a její teoretické uchopení na příkladu Rohanského ostrova / New wilderness and its theoretical context on the example of Rohan island

Hořejší, Johana January 2015 (has links)
New wilderness is a term denoting a particular kind of environment which is considerably modified by human activity and then abandoned. These places are left to their own development defined mostly by natural processes. This work describes the phenomenon of new wilderness both in Czech and international context. It attempts to capture not only the general nature of new wilderness but also to point out various features which are provoked by its character. Subsequently it discusses the theory of Umwelt by Jakob von Uexküll describing the relation of individual to the world and treating the space as perceived individually. Second part of this work is dedicated to concrete example of new wilderness - Rohan island in Prague. It summarizes its history and natural conditions. The concepts of Umwelt and heterotopia are then applied to this locality. The two theories in question, conceiving space in a specific way, develop further the complexity and richness of the phenomenon of new wilderness.

Statistický model charakteru tepelného ostrova středoevropských měst / Statistical model of urban heat island characteristics in Central Europe

Vacík, Pavel January 2013 (has links)
Urban heat island (UHI) is a region of increased air temperature in the canopy layer and boundary layer of the atmosphere above the town or industrial agglomeration in comparison with rural surroundings. The difference in temperature increases with the size of the city. This study describes the dependence of the intensity UHI Central European cities on their size and position of their weather station. It uses a multiple linear regression model. The dependent variable Y entering the model (data from 40 cities) are UHImean and UHImax. They are calculated as difference in air temperature between the urban and the relevant rural weather station. The average intensity of the urban heat island (UHImean) is the average value of the UHI of all available data in the analyzed period (hourly measurements of air temperature [řC] for the years 1994-2012). The data are only taken from night times records between 21:00 and 4:00 UTC and on days with the average total cloud cover at the city weather station less than 0,5. The maximum intensity of the urban heat island (UHImax) is the average maximum value of the UHI per night. The data are taken under the same conditions as in the case of UHImean. Independent variables X are the size of built-up area (X1) and the position of the weather station calculated using the...

Význam vegetace v utváření klimatických charakteristik v městské zástavbě / The importance of vegetation for climate forming in urban areas.

MARVALOVÁ, Jindra January 2016 (has links)
Urban heat island is a phenomenon of different temperatures in cities compared to temperatures in the surrounding landscape. The intensity of this phenomenon can be influenced by the presence of vegetation in cities. There is evaluated the effect of vegetation on microclimate in various parts of the city České Budějovice in this thesis. The assessment is based on the evaluation of multispectral Landsat satellite images and thermal images, which were taken in-situ using thermal camera, and their statistical processing. The results show statistically significant differences in surface temperatures in the different areas of the city with a different amount of vegetation. Surface temperatures are significantly lower in areas with a large amount of vegetation than in areas without vegetation. Equally, selected vegetation surfaces have lower temperatures compared to anthropogenic surfaces, at least about 9 ° C.

Hodnocení teploty vzduchu pro studium tepelného ostrova města / Evaluation of air temperature in relationship for urban heat island studies

Kalousová, Jitka January 2016 (has links)
The present thesis deals with another current issue, which is known as the urban heat island. Phenomenon which aries by changes in the environment i divided into two categories namely natural and anthropogenic, this two categories can work together. City and counrtyside are different, the cause is the growing urbanization of towns and changing the earth´s surface, taht can absorb solar radiation and later released into the environment. The result of this process, the warming of the atmosphere in the cities. In the literary part describes the historical development of climate, climate as a separate element and urban heat island. Urban heat island is also distributed through energy balance, causes, impacts and possible alternatives to eliminate ist mitigation. The main objective was to describe the available evidence and evaluate data from four different European citites (Bourges, Hamburg, Karlov and Strasbourg). Furthermore to determine through maximum and minimum monthly temperatures in the summer months, whether in those cities discovers and develops this phenomenon. Further analyze the frequency of individual synoptic situations for the period 1961-2010 and evaluated their relationship to the air temperature. In the first hypothesis was from statistical studies demonstrated, that in summer was markked ibcidence of urban heat island, which is especially noticeable in minimum temperatures. Further analysis demonstrated that the synoptic situation, when they have their effect on the urban heat island. The second hypothesis and it´s the air temperature changes are causes by human activities, and the result is creation of urban heat island to certify based on the evaluation of the data series.
