Učební styl žáka a jeho role v procesu osvojování slovní zásoby v cizím jazyce u žáků mladšího školního věku Kateřina Smolíková ABSTRACT The thesis deals with learning styles and their role in the process of vocabulary acquisition. The practical part describes a research survey, which aims to identify students' learning styles and compare the level of acquired vocabulary depending on the way in which the new vocabulary was presented to students. The comparison of the level of acquired vocabulary took place in three groups, whose learning style preferences differed from each other. K interferenci češtiny, ruštiny a angličtiny v jazykové výuce / On interference between Czech, Russian and English in language learning

Dvořáková, Jana January 2011 (has links)
The thesis deals with second language acquisition (SLA) of Czech in Russian and English students. It presents the main theories of SLA (generative and cognitive approaches) and compares them to the results of author's research into L2 acquisition of Czech morphology and syntax in speakers of two typologically and structurally different mothertongues. It shows that language transfer plays an important role in SLA and that some of the generative assumptions about SLA that are claimed to apply universally cannot be proven for Czech.

Digitalizovaný experiment - prostředek k osvojení vybraného učiva obecné chemie / Digitized experiments - The instrument for mastering of selected curriculum of general chemistry

Bartoš, Ivan January 2010 (has links)
By analyzing electronical tools, online applications and tutorials from Czech Republic and abroad I have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to create a flexible educational instrument which includes digitized chemical experiments for general chemistry. Following the analysis of present databases, CD ROMs and VHS containing pictured experiments I found out that a lot of spectacular experiments with pyrotechnical components have not been shooted at all or not in the range of "greater" chemicals quantity. The chosen programming language, in which FMDP was written, proved to be most efficient. This choice emerged from a discussion with programmers and was motivated in particular by larger possibilities of C# than HTML have. In addition to it the modification of the FMDP content is easy. The teachers with minimum of the PC-literacy can make any changes in FMDP, alternate any of its parts and adapt them for various internal and external conditions of education. With regard to the interview having found the needs of learners I filmed and digitized especially such experiments that present the chemical reactions accompanied by the rise of a smoke, light emission, explosion and a surprising turn of colours. On the basis of the statistical evaluation of statistical data containing marks achieved by...

Angličtina jako lingua franca v kontextu českého vzdělávacího systému / English as a Lingua Franca in the Context of the Czech Educational System

Kadlecová, Hana January 2013 (has links)
Despite the predominance of English used by non-native speakers in international communication, the approach to teaching this language is still centred on the notion of acquiring English for the purpose of communication with native speakers. This thesis argues for acknowledgement of English as a lingua franca in the approach to teaching English. It also stresses the necessity of further investigations into the global use of English to better understand this phenomenon. A questionnaire was conducted with ten English teachers to see their opinions about some of the key issues of English as a lingua franca (for instance the concept of nativeness, the role of a teacher and the understanding of an error). As a result, it was found that despite some slow changes in individual opinions, the traditional view on teaching English is still prevalent. Both the theoretical research and the analysis of the questionnaire stress the need of implementing the concept of English as a lingua franca into teaching English as it is necessary to prepare students for the reality of global use of this language. Key words: English as a lingua franca, second language acquisition, nativeness, error, variation
