Mezinárodní rozhodčí řízení / International arbitration

Braborec, Jan January 2015 (has links)
International arbitration The purpose of the thesis is to determine the role of international arbitration in the system of domestic law, discuss the basic aspects of its character and show its relation to the decision-making practice of the European Court of Human Rights and to the Czech law. The methods used in the thesis are mainly legal-analytical, descriptive and comparative. Besides the introduction and conclusion, this work is divided into four main sections, which are further divided into subsections. The first chapter is devoted to alternative dispute resolution and its relation to the arbitration. There we find an explanation of the concept itself, the list of reasons for the exclusion or inclusion of arbitration into this system, and last but not least, the advantages and disadvantages of this method of dispute resolution, which are described for better clarity on the most frequently used method of alternative dispute resolution in Czech Republic, i.e. mediation. The following chapter focuses on the general specifics of the arbitration proceedings, which are common to the national and international arbitration. First part of this chapter is devoted to the European Convention on Human rights and its Article 6 paragraph 1, which guarantees the right to a fair trial, and to its application on the...

Katedrála v současnosti / Cathedral today

Král, David January 2020 (has links)
Theme of the thesis is a construction that is considered to be one of the most spectacular examples of a French gothic architecture. Notre-Dame Cathedral lies on the Eastern half of a Parisian island Île de la Cité on the river Seina. On April 15, 2019, roof of the cathedral caught on fire. It was completely destroyed, including its pinnacle. The thesis offers a solution how to restore the roof and what opportunities the new design brings. Aim of the proposal is enrichment of the Notre-Dame community through offering a new refuge, which will be for both, internal growth and spiritual practice itself. The design provides spaces that capture the path to God in them. I perceive the very path to God as a thorough inner work. That is why I am placing 36 contemplation booths in there, in addition to other 8 cabins. The light is removed from those, in order to extend the perception of consciousness. Spaces for individuals will be amended by 3 chapels for a group practice. Each chapel has its typical content - joint contemplation chapel, chapel that worships the Jesus Christ’s crown of thorns and a community chapel with a variable arrangement.

Lužice v plánech na vybudování nového Československa. Velké naděje a zklamání českých slavistů / Lusatia in the Plans of building the New Czechoslovakia great expectations and early disillusionment of the Czech Slavistis

Chodějovský, Jan January 2011 (has links)
Lusatia in the plans of building the new Czechoslovakia. Great expectations and early disillusionment of the Czech Slavists. During the Great War, especially in the last year of the war, a number of representatives of Czech political and cultural life reflected upon an idea of a renewal of the Czech state in a historical borders of the former Czech crown lands. The independence of Czechoslovakia was proclaimed on October 28, 1918, by the Czechoslovak National Council in Prague. Only several years before, an independent Czechoslovakia had been a dream of a small number of intellectuals and politicians. The transformation of the dream into reality was a formidable task. While the creation of Czechoslovakia was based on certain historical precedents, it was, nevertheless, a new country carved out of disparate parts of the old Hapsburg Empire. This study deals with the matter of how Czechoslovak scientists, first of all slavists, intervened in the forming of Czechoslovak political programme. Slavists' role in the communal life of Czechoslovakia has been transforming due to changes that took place in both local and international politics. For a long time before they had no chance to participate at official state politics as there was not a sympathetic for Slavonic cooperation on an international level...

Homegrown terorismus / Homegrown Terrorism

Chlupáčová, Kamila January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this work is explanation of the concept of homegrown terrorism based on an analysis of selected terrorist attacks; and creates a definition for this completely new phenomenon. For the processing of the topic I chose a comparative case study method, which is applied to the exploration of three terrorist attacks (terrorist attacks in London 2005, attacks in editorial office of Charlie Hebdo in 2015 and terrorist attacks in Paris 2015). Basic investigated dependent variable is homegrown terrorism and the independent variables are concepts "belonging" and "autonomy". Variables that are connected to the concept of "belonging" include the origin of the attackers and links to the Western countries, the concept of "autonomy" is linked to the independence of the attackers to terrorist groups abroad and self-training of the attackers and finally motives of the attackers include the role of religion, the social situation of the attackers and hatred of invaders towards the West. The variables above are applied to each terrorist attack separately in the form of table data. Each dependent and independent variable may be positive or negative. According to this research, I found that each particular attack was different in certain characteristics from the previous one and therefore it is difficult to...

Efektivita vyjednávání v režimu klimatické změny - role Evropské unie, USA a Číny / The Effectiveness of Negotiation in the Climate Change Regime - Role of the European Union, the USA and China

Machová, Zuzana January 2017 (has links)
This thesis addresses the topic of the effectiveness of negotiation in the climate change regime, which is examined in connection with leadership theory. The goal of this thesis is to find out, if selected actors behaved as leaders during climate change conferences and if their behavior contributed to the effectiveness of negotiation in the climate change regime. Effectiveness of negotiation is examined at three selected climate change conferences, more specifically at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference (2009), Cancún Climate Change Conference (2010) and Paris Climate Change Conference (2015). The leadership role is examined at above mentioned conferences with connection to the European Union, the USA and China. The research of leadership is based on the congruence method, which is based on examination of observable predictions established from theory. This thesis reached the conclusion, that the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference was not effective, on the contrary the Climate Change Conferences in Cancún and Paris were assessed as effective. In connection to fulfillment of conditions of leadership, the thesis reached the conclusion, that at the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference none of the actors acted as a leader, at the Cancún Climate Change Conference the European Union acted as a...
