Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento CientÃfico e TecnolÃgico / O objetivo deste trabalho foi caracterizar os arranjos produtivos locais de apicultura quanto aos seus processos de inovaÃÃo e uso de tecnologias nos municÃpios de CapitÃo PoÃo, IgarapÃ-AÃu e OurÃm, localizados no Nordeste do Estado do ParÃ. Especificamente, pretendeu-se traÃar o perfil socioeconÃmico e tecnolÃgico dos apicultores, identificar as dimensÃes fatoriais determinantes da inovaÃÃo e tecnologia; tipificar o grau de inovaÃÃo e tecnologia dos arranjos produtivos de apicultura e tipificar os apicultores paraenses segundo o Ãndice de inovaÃÃo e tecnologia. Para tanto se utilizou como mÃtodos: AnÃlise Fatorial para extraÃÃo dos principais fatores representativos da prÃtica de inovaÃÃo e uso da tecnologia pelos apicultores, alÃm da construÃÃo de um Ãndice agregado por meio da anÃlise de clusters que pode estabelecer quais deles tem uma menor ou maior propensÃo à prÃtica de inovaÃÃes e tecnologias. Os resultados mostraram que a apicultura paraense à composta em maioria de pequenos produtores; utiliza mÃo-de-obra de baixo grau de escolaridade; mostra-se como uma alternativa de geraÃÃo de renda e de trabalho para a zona rural e tem como gargalos a falta de posse de selo de inspeÃÃo por parte das associaÃÃes e produtores, o que aumenta as dificuldades no escoamento da produÃÃo, e a carÃncia de polÃticas realmente consistentes e adequadas à realidade regional. AtravÃs da anÃlise fatorial foram obtidos dois fatores nomeados como aspectos tecnolÃgicos e aspectos inovativos e de informaÃÃo, a anÃlise tambÃm permitiu a construÃÃo de um Ãndice chamado de Ãndice de InovaÃÃo e Tecnologia. Quanto aos grupos formados com base no Ãndice calculado, o Parà possui grande quantidade de apicultores no grupo de baixos Ãndices de inovaÃÃo e tecnologia, configurando assim uma reduzida propensÃo ao uso de tais prÃticas por grande parte dos produtores. No que tange ao grupo de mÃdio Ãndice, este apresentou membros bastante heterogÃneos, possuindo, portanto, o maior valor de coeficiente de variaÃÃo. O Ãltimo grupo, de maior Ãndice, exibiu apenas 16% do total de 78 entrevistados na pesquisa, e à onde sÃo encontrados quase todos os grandes produtores da regiÃo. Por fim, concluiu-se que a apicultura mostrou-se como um importante instrumento de geraÃÃo de emprego e renda na zona rural, porÃm que carece de maior atenÃÃo pÃblica para o seu real avanÃo. / The aim of this study was to characterize the local productive beekeeping as their processes of innovation and use of technology in the municipalities of CapitÃo PoÃo, IgarapÃ-Acu and OurÃm, located in northeastern Parà State. Specifically it was intended to profile socioeconomic and technological beekeepers, identify the factor dimensions determinants of innovation and technology; typify the degree of innovation and technology clusters beekeeping and classify beekeepers paraenses according to the index of innovation and technology. To be used as both methods: factor analysis to extract the main factors representative of the practice of innovation and technology use by beekeepers, besides the construction of an aggregate index for the analysis of clusters that can establish which of them has a higher or lower propensity practice innovations and technologies. The results showed that beekeeping is composed of Parà in most small producers; uses hand-to-work of low literacy; shows up as an alternative source of income and employment for the rural area and its lack bottlenecks possession of seal inspection by the associations and producers, which increases the difficulties in production flow, and the lack of consistent and appropriate policies actually the regional reality. Through factor analysis were obtained from two factors named as the technological and innovative aspects and information, the analysis also allowed the construction of an index called the Index of Innovation and Technology. As for the groups formed based on the index calculated, Parà has lot of beekeepers in the group of low levels of innovation and technology, thereby constituting a reduced propensity to use such practices by many producers. Regarding the group of medium-index that showed a heterogeneous members, possessing, therefore, the highest value of coefficient of variation. The last group, the largest index, showed only 16 % of 78 respondents in the survey, and is where are found almost all the major producers in the region. Finally it was concluded that beekeeping proved to be an important tool for generating employment and income in rural areas, but it needs more public attention to his real breakthrough.
