<p> Various models of computability of partial functions f on the real numbers are studied: two abstract, based on approximable computation w.r.t high level programming languages; two concrete, based on computable tracking functions on the rationals; and two based on polynomial approximation. It is shown that these six models are equivalent, under the assumptions: (1) the domain of f is a union of an effective sequence of rational open intervals, and (2) f is effectively locally uniformly continuous. This includes the well-known functions of elementary real analysis (rational, exponential, trigonometric, etc., and their inverses) and generalises a previously know equivalence result for total functions on the reals. </p> / Thesis / Master of Science (MSc)

This dissertation is focused on the development of skills of children in preschool age. The work is split into the theoretical and practical parts. The chapters of the theoretical part deal with the characteristics of child's progress in preschool age as well as with partial function development, personal growth and upbringing in the preschool age. The work is focused on the education of children in preschools and on the monitoring of school maturity. The practical part of the dissertation concentrates on the implementation of the NTC Stimulation Programme into the pedagogical and educational activities of the Salomon Preschool, a private education center for preschool children. In the practical part, the NTC method is evaluated based on the comparison of the research group with a control group consisting of children attending state preschool. Furthermore appropriate activities for preschool children are recommended. The recommended activities are focused on the support of specific key competencies and skills. The thesis thematically focuses on the prevention of specific learning disabilities in preschool children. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes the development of a child in preschool age and individual types of specific learning disabilities. Thereafter, the possibilities of screening and diagnostics of individuals at risk of specific learning disabilities and concrete diagnostic and preventive methods used in the Czech environment are presented. The aim of the diploma thesis is to create a program to prevent the emergence of specific learning disabilities, through the selection of activities aimed at the progress of individual areas of development and partial functions, especially those which are found by the research to be the least developed. The basis for the creation of a prevention program consists of data obtained in the diagnosis of the level of partial functions in preschool children and experience gained during targeted work with children at risk of developing SLD. Options of development of partial functions of pre-school children Abstract This thesis is focused on issue of the development of partial functions in preschool age and mapping of the course of development of partial functions in kindergartens in Karlovy Vary Region and Prague. The task of the theoretical part is to define the notions of partial functions and partial functions deficits and to explain their relationship to specific learning disabilities. It describes the characteristics of preschool age and options of development of partial functions in its course. It includes basic information about school maturity, pedagogical- psychological diagnostics of children in kindergartens. It mentions also the child's enrollment in the first grade of primary school and school attendance delay. The diploma thesis deals with pupils' possibilities of partial functions development in the first class of elementary school. The theoretical part defines the basic terms and it introduces the definitions in the field of specific dysfunctions of learning. It also deals with a possible diagnostics of the specific dysfunctions. The thesis describes crucial partial functions in the relation to school skills acquirement and it presents the partial function theory as one of the causes in difficulties in reading and writing acquirement. The practical part analyses the results of the diagnostics which was realized in the first grade at elementary school. This thesis deals with the topic "Utilization of a support program Maxik for preschool children in the prevention of learning disabilities. " The aim of this thesis is theoretical definition of specific learning disorders, deficits of partial functions and relatively new trend of dynamic diagnostics. The object of the actual research is to assess the individual displacement of each of preschool children in response to the intervention by the stimulus program MAXIK and to assess the effectiveness of this program with each child in terms of prevention of specific learning disabilities. The problematic of specific learning disabilities in terms of etiology, occurrence and their manifestations is defined in the theoretical part. A big part of the theoretical part involves a chapter dealing with partial functions, their diagnosis, prevention and suggestions for development.
