Porovnání švédského a amerického konceptu návrhu směsí s CRmB / Swedish and US AR mixture design comparison

Puda, Adam January 2015 (has links)
This master's theseis deals with comparison of two design concepts for producting asphalt mixture with CRmB. These design concepts are from Sweden and USA. The theoretical part sets parameters for design of asphalt mixture and chracteristic tests. In the practical part test speciements of design asphatl mixture undergo performace tests that simulate climate and traffic load. Results are compared to mathematical model used in program LayEps.

Vliv defektu pneumatiky na jízdní dynamiku vozidla / Influence of Tyre Defect on the Driving Dynamics of a Vehicle

Kubík, Adam January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis, an effect of a tyre defect on the driving dynamics of a vehicle is dealt with. The first part of the thesis is mainly concerned with the vehicle dynamics, road resistance, adhesion, orientation characteristics of the tyres and slowing down. This chapter is followed by an overview of the manufacturing process and construction of modern passenger car tyres. The practical part is focused on driving tests that are used to demonstrate the influence of tyre defects on handling characteristics of the vehicle. The main focus of this thesis is on directional variation, braking distance, deceleration and lateral acceleration. The very end of the thesis concentrates on tyre defect in higher speeds and its after-effects as well as precautions for mitigation of these after-effects.

Integrace JMS poskytovatelů třetích stran / Integration of JMS Providers to Third Parties

Žiaková, Nikoleta January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with messaging and integration of third-party JMS providers into JBoss application server. The aim of the thesis was to design and implement a general-purpose testsuite to verify the proposed integration. First requirement was to get familiar with key technologies for integration including Java Message Service, Java EE Connector Architecture, selected JMS providers and JBoss AS. Specific procedures of integration were designed and described for JMS providers Apache ActiveMQ, IBM WebSphere MQ and Red Hat MRG Messaging. The testsuite implemented to verify the functionlity of the integration focuses on four areas - transactions, clustering, high availibility and performance. The process of testing was automated using continuous integration tool Jenkins. Finally the test application was used to evaluate functionality of the integration and compare different JMS providers and various versions of JBoss AS.

Methods for Comparing Database Management Systems

Törnqvist, Jakob January 2023 (has links)
Zenon AB is an it-company of which, this thesis was made in collaboration with. Zenon AB has clients that generate large amounts of data, therefore it is important for Zenon AB that they make competent choices of database management systems (DBMS) when designing systems for their clients. This thesis will therefore entail research carried out into the comparison of DBMS. Nowadays, there exists a large variety of DBMS. Despite this, there seems to be a lack of comparisons between types of DBMS and therefore a lack clarity of when each type should be used. Thus, this thesis aims to highlight these differences of DBMS types by creating a tailored test for each DBMS type and compare how each type performs in each-others area of specialization. This process will show how big the differences can be and highlight the importance of the choice of DBMS. The time it takes, and how simple DBMSs are to implement seems to be a factor most developers take into consideration when choosing DBMS but there is little research on how to compare the aspect. Therefore, this thesis will investigate the viability of a method to compare how easy the DBMSs are to implement into systems by querying programming help forums such as Stackoverflow. / <p>Examensarbetet är utfört vid Institutionen för teknik och naturvetenskap (ITN) vid Tekniska fakulteten, Linköpings universitet</p>

Použití speciálních pojiv při recyklaci asfaltových směsí na obalovně / Use of special binders for recycling of asphalt mixtures at mixing plants

Pěch, Pavel January 2014 (has links)
The thesis deals with the matter of usage of special asphalt binders for production of asphalt mixtures containing recycled materials in asphalt plant. For comparison analysis of characteristics of special binder used in roads is necessary to compose different mixtures of asphalt – one with binder containing R-materials, and another benchmark mixture with binder used in common mixtures without recycled materials. Investigation of features of mixtures with different binders is carried out by selected performance tests of asphalt mixtures. Evaluation and comparison of the results is described in the final section of the thesis.

Automated Performance Test Generation and Comparison for Complex Data Structures - Exemplified on High-Dimensional Spatio-Temporal Indices

Menninghaus, Mathias 23 August 2018 (has links)
There exist numerous approaches to index either spatio-temporal or high-dimensional data. None of them is able to efficiently index hybrid data types, thus spatio-temporal and high-dimensional data. As the best high-dimensional indexing techniques are only able to index point-data and not now-relative data and the best spatio-temporal indexing techniques suffer from the curse of dimensionality, this thesis introduces the Spatio-Temporal Pyramid Adapter (STPA). The STPA maps spatio-temporal data on points, now-values on the median of the data set and indexes them with the pyramid technique. For high-dimensional and spatio-temporal index structures no generally accepted benchmark exists. Most index structures are only evaluated by custom benchmarks and compared to a tiny set of competitors. Benchmarks may be biased as a structure may be created to perform well in a certain benchmark or a benchmark does not cover a certain speciality of the investigated structures. In this thesis, the Interface Based Performance Comparison (IBPC) technique is introduced. It automatically generates test sets with a high code coverage on the system under test (SUT) on the basis of all functions defined by a certain interface which all competitors support. Every test set is performed on every SUT and the performance results are weighted by the achieved coverage and summed up. These weighted performance results are then used to compare the structures. An implementation of the IBPC, the Performance Test Automation Framework (PTAF) is compared to a classic custom benchmark, a workload generator whose parameters are optimized by a genetic algorithm and a specific PTAF alternative which incorporates the specific behavior of the systems under test. This is done for a set of two high-dimensional spatio-temporal indices and twelve variants of the R-tree. The evaluation indicates that PTAF performs at least as good as the other approaches in terms of minimal test cases with a maximized coverage. Several case studies on PTAF demonstrate its widespread abilities.
