The methodology of the design of experimnet has become an integral part of the optimisation of manufacturing processes in recent decades. Problems regarding designs of experiments are still up to date, especially because of a variety of approaches to collecting and evaluating data. Scientists in different research and development areas often do not take into account possible shortcommings or even essential assumptions of selected design and/or its evaluation methods. This disertation thesis summarizes theoretical bases of selected designs of experiments. Describes several applications of central composite design on responses regarding wire electrical discharge machining process. And compares different designs of experiment for response surfaces of five parameters with regards to algoritmic selection of statistically signifficant parameters.

The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of an automatic lawn mower. The design solution is based on innovative concept respecting all technical, ergonomical, aesthetical and ecological demands. A research study, including a historical, technical and design analysis of lawn mower, is preceding the description of main creative part of design process starting from the concept development and ending up with the final solution. A conclusion of the thesis presents an analysis of final solution, its character, contribution to the human society and the particular role of industial design in automatic lawn mower concept.

This is detached sports center. The building is situated in the town of Ji­kovice town in Brno â Country Distric. This sports centre has two floors and it is partially with a cellar. The building is based on the footings of concrete. It is built from the building system POROTHERM and PREFA with contact insulation system from company ISOVER and ventilated facade. The roof construction is single-flat, on part is designed vegetation roof. Area buildings is 792,25 m2.

The focus of this thesis is a proposal of a horizontal dual-pressure heat recovery steam generator. The introductory part includes thermal calculation, as well as a design of the layout and a design of the heat transfer surfaces and the layout of the boiler. Individual chapters are broken down according to the outline of the proposal for the arrangement of the heating surfaces, according to the parameters of the flue gas and steam. The master thesis contains a scheme of a real heat transfer temperature diagram and it also includes the calculation of connecting and downcomer pipes and drums. The final part describes the calculation of the boiler draft loss. The main idea of the thesis is accompanied by the technical documentation of the drawing of the boiler.

Long-term evolution of nature-society interactions can be studied by using data of land use change. In the thesis is used a detailed statistical database of Czechia (developed at Charles University in Prague, Faculty of Science). The database allows monitoring changes of eight categories of land use in the period 1845-2000. Attention is devoted to the growing differentiation of land use at different scale levels, the thesis is concentrated on functional specialization of czech regions. Deepening division of labour between regions is reflected by increasing territorial concentration of land use. This process is monitored by using three methods. Ternary plots present an overview of the differentiation trends of land use. Spatial autocorrelation methods present the general development and specific areas of functional specialization in Czechia. A review by territorial heterogeneity rate provides a detailed look at the change of territorial concentration of land use. The thesis operates with three territorial classifications (hydrological, geomorphological and administrative) at two regional levels and the level of Czechia. From a point of view of contemporary society which requires healthy lifestyle and healthy environment, especially in big cities there is a need for development of recreation and public green areas. First, i tis a form of preparation in planning, i.e. it is important to elaborate objectives for their subsequent promotion and enforcement and afterwards it is necessary to provide funds for their implementation. This doctoral thesis analyzes the role of everyday recreation as a part of our lives and recreation as a necessary component of our healthy lifestyle. Green areas represent the most suitable environment for this type of recreation. This thesis describes the status, importance and types of recreation and green areas in cities in the Czech Republic. It also analyzes the relationship between recreation and urban green areas in terms of uses of urban green space for daily recreation. Specifically, the work focused on conceptual and compositional principles arrangement of urban green areas. Those represent the most suitable and important potential resources for development of vegetation and everyday recreation for all people living in our cities. The intention of this thesis is to analyze the current status of recreational function of public green areas in urban developments and especially in neighbourhoods. Following that to suggest solutions for improvement and implementation of green areas as measures for design solutions within the framework of land-use planning. This thesis is supposed to act as compendium to spread knowledge about possible options how to create green areas with recreational and housing function and thus acquire complex build-up area.

This master's thesis focuses on the manufacturing system of the company ADOZ, ltd. It describes some systems of production management that leaders of the company want to implement, the company itself, the condition of the default manufacturing system, its deficiencies and motives of the company that led leaders to decide to move to a new space. One section of the thesis describes the space of the new building into which the company wants to move its manufacturing system. The thesis also deals with the calculation of capacity, the quantity of staff, and the size of the areas of the new manufacturing system that should be placed into the new building. The workplaces of the manufacturing system have been divided into various type groups. The relationships between these groups have been analysed, whereupon accurate plans of the placement of workplaces of the new manufacturing system in the manufacturing space of the new building have been created. On the basis of two different attitudes towards calculation of capacity, two different proposals have been created, and a plan of workplace placement has been made individually for each proposal. Both proposals have been compared from a financial viewpoint.

The diploma thesis involves the design of certification static strength tests for the newly developed aircraft of the TL-Ultralight company. At the beginning of the work, the theory of aircraft testing is generally discussed with emphasis on static strength tests. Furthermore, an analysis of the requirements of the Czech regulation UL 2 and the German LTF-UL, which represent the certification basis for this aircraft, is performed. The requirements of regulations on the construction of the aircraft (or its individual parts) and the requirements for strength tests are discussed in detail. Based on the regulation and the provided calculation protocols, individual test cases and test plans of the wing, tail surfaces, engine bed, and chassis are calculated and prepared. In the end, the calculation of the rocker system and the basic design of jigs are performed.

The master’s thesis describes hardware opto-electronic instruments for contactless measurement of surfaces. It concentrates on instruments used for opto-electrical transformation of a taking scene and software processing of digital pictures. It presents selected methods of pre-processing, segmenting and following final modifications of these pictures. Then it deals with measuring of areas of surfaces and sizes of selected objects in these pictures and conversion of results from pixels to SI system of units. Possible divergences of measuring are described as well. A flow chart of a program for automatic and manual measuring of surfaces and sizes of objects in a picture, which is commented in detail, is a part of the thesis. The main product of this thesis is application Merovo, which provides measuring of an area and proportions of included objects. This application is analysed and described in detail in this thesis.
