This paper deals with sinuous broadband antenna, witch operating frequency 1 to 6 GHz. The antenna parameters, which change their physical dimension were shown in this paper. Antenna structure is planar and feeding network line have to be planar too. There are different ways to describe and construct from unbalanced to balanced line by baluns. There are also design impedance transform to match antenna in this paper. The simulation and measured results are showen the antenna has wideband character.

This thesis focuses on the polarization effects, that go on in the dielectric materials. It deals with physical and mathematical description of absorption effects. An important part of the thesis is a program environment, that is made by using programming language C++, which might be used for illustrative graphical displaying of physical laws of absorption effects in dielectric materials and for control of meters used for absorption current in dielectric materials measurement. This program can compute selected material constants from measured absorption currents. The proram enviroment enables creation of measurement protocol according to the norm ČSN IEC 93.

Disertační práce pojednává o polarizačních nedokonalostech optických komponentů, které jsou využívány ke kontrole a k transformaci polarizačního stavu světla. Získané teoretické výsledky jsou pak využity ve vybraných aplikacích, jež ke své činnosti využívají právě polarizace světla. Konkrétně se jedná o zařízení měřící vibrace oscilujících objektů, dále o interferenční měření dvojlomu v transparentních materiálech a konečně, o vybraná témata z optické kvantové komunikace.

5 ABSTRACT Suburbanization is the process of moving residents from the core city to the outskirts. Newly-migrants from the city often carry different views and lifestyles than the original inhabitants of the village, which may be the cause of social polarisation. The general aim of the thesis is to evaluate the development of the social environment, to describe and explain the consequences of suburbanization on social polarisation in the Prague city region on the example of Jesenice u Prahy. Within the general objective, the thesis sets two partial objectives: Describe the demographic development of the population, the development of housing construction and the age structure in Jesenice. Compare the results of the social climate from Petra Puldová's thesis (2006), describe how the social climate has changed over the past 13 years. The questionnaire survey is used to fulfill both the general and the second partial objective. The questionnaire is used to find out if the respondents have mutual relations with the original and new inhabitants, how satisfied they are with the life in the municipality, social cohesion, how they participate in social and political life. The M.A. thesis "Comprehensive Immigration Reform Postponed: Lessons from the Senate 2004- 2010" elaborates upon the causes hindering in the years 2004 to 2010 the adoption of a comprehensive immigration reform in the United States of America. The main goal of the thesis is to assess the consequences of the polarization of the American political scene on the immigration reform and to evaluate the party divide on the matter upon the floor remarks made by the members of Senate Committee on the Judiciary taking in account the differences in between the 109th and 111th Senate. The focus on the Committee on the Judiciary is justified by the role played by its members in the drafting process of particular reform proposals. The scope of the polarization of the Committee is assessed upon the aggravated means attributed to the most dominant narratives used by the senators. The remarks used in the evaluation are addressed in the context of the most significant contemporary factors influencing the polarization of American political scene as well as under the light of the development surpassing the domestic affairs.

This thesis deals with the issue of gender equality in motorsport. It aims to carry out two main tasks. The first is based on description and explanation of the current position of female racers in motorsport (are they considered a regular part of motorsport and do they constitute a competition for male racers, or are they just decorative anomalies?). Motorsport is one of the very few mixed sports. The second task is to answer the question whether it would be useful to establish separated women-only categories, which might attract more racers. The thesis consists of two key parts. The explanatory section of this text presents a theoretical explanation of the contemporary situation (using the theory of the lenses of gender). The empirical part is derived from expert interviews and interviews with top Czech female racers. The conclusion of the thesis is a compilation of findings provided by both parts of the text. The essential result is the need to preserve mixed competition which would be free of socio-cultural barriers which hinder the beginnings of women in motorsport.

Regional differentiation is a complex phenomenon concerning all countries of the world, which is analyzed by countless studies, but without a generally accepted theoretical anchorage. The Thesis deals with the transformation of Turkish regional image at multiple levels from 1975 to 2018. This transformation is analyzed by a set of selected demographic and socioeconomic indicators. The main objective is to document and evaluate Turkish regional demographic and socioeconomic differentiation, which leads to the country's polarization. The Thesis is based on statistical data from the Turkish Statistical Office. The geographical concentration of demographic and socioeconomic indicators was illustrated by tabular and map outputs. Sigma convergence evaluating the evolution of differentiation of individual indicators Gini coefficients are shown by graphs. The multiple regression analysis method examined the impact of geographical aspects on selected demographic and socioeconomic indicators. Significant part of the Thesis also deals with Turkish political- geographical context and the theoretical approaches on which it is based.

This thesis deals with the long-term changes in the landscape of border areas of selected military bases in Bohemia  Brdy and Hradiště. Specifically, in these areas it is focused on land use changes since half of the 19th century to the present. Its main objective is to identify whether and to what extent military bases affect character and intensity of land use changes beyond their borders. The first part of the thesis is devoted to general solutions relating to the key topics/concepts representing thematic base for further work (landscape, spatial polarization and military bases). The methodology of this part is based on research and discussions of literature and other sources. In the second part of the thesis the focus is on the spatial definition and characteristics of both areas of our interest. The third part is based on the knowledge of the previous two parts, and is engaged in the land use changes research in both areas. This research has a quantitative nature and is based on the use of statistical data provided by the LUCC Czechia database, which were further processed and evaluated. Final part of the thesis is based on the results of the third part and discusses the possible impact of the military bases to changes in land use in the close border areas. The thesis deals with the possibility of using optical fiber as a sensor. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to the foundations of optics. In addition, the thesis deals with optical interferometry, polarization and dispersion in optical fiber. The main output of the thesis is the comparison of acoustic vibration measurements using interferometric and polarization methods and further measurements on the real route in Brno.

The thesis deals with the measurement of tolerance zone and the influence of birefringence on the activity of polarization multiplex. The theoretical part deals with polarization of light, mathematical description using Stokes and Jones vectors and its representation by Poincaré sphere. It also deals with optical transmission and channel merging. The final part describes the designed measuring workplace and the measurement itself.
