Stav chrupu u hendikepovaných pacientů / Dental status in handicapped patients

Chleborád, Karel January 2014 (has links)
The information in the medical records serve many purposes: they can be used for diagnosis and therapy, medical documentation contains information that can be the basis for financial authorities for treatment or for pumping reimbursement from health insurance. The data can be used in statistics and other scientific purposes. The aim of study is to verify the simplicity of data process implementation and time of data storing for modification of classical paper WHO dental card, lifetime dental EHR controlled by keyboard and lifetime dental EHR controlled by voice. All three methods were applied on 126 patients. At first the patients were inspected by a standard technique (communication between dentist and nurse) and the data recorded into the paper WHO dental card. The same person recorded all data to lifetime dental EHR using keyboard and using voice. Then we compared the time, which was needed for recording the data using these three methods. Using Friedman test we found very significant differences in time of recording among three methods (p<0.001). We can see that the paper WHO dental card was recorded quickly, but its rise due to missing electronic form is difficult. Times for recording data using keyboard or voice in lifetime dental EHR were not significantly different. The clinical practice...

Lidské glutamátkarboxypeptidasy II a III / Human glutamate carboxypeptidases II and III

Navrátil, Michal January 2016 (has links)
The herein presented Ph.D. dissertation describes kinetic and structural characterization of human glutamate carboxypeptidases II and III (GCPII and GCPIII) using a complete panel of their natural substrates. These enzymes hydrolyze C-terminal glutamate from their substrates. They share 67 % sequence identity and also similar enzymatic activities. This thesis quantitatively compares human GCPII and GCPIII in terms of their ability to hydrolyze the substrates N-acetyl-L-aspartyl-L-glutamate (NAAG), folyl-poly-γ-L-glutamic acids (FolGlun) and β-citryl-L-glutamate (BCG). We demonstrated that GCPIII hydrolyzes its substrates in a metal- dependent manner, that BCG is a specific substrate of GCPIII, and that NAAG and FolGlun are specific substrates of GCPII. We also provide indirect biochemical evidence that GCPIII might feature a heterometallic active-site cluster. Additionally, we characterized the relevance of a surface exosite of GCPII, the arene-binding site (ABS), for the hydrolysis of FolGlun substrates using mutagenesis and enzyme kinetics and showed that polymorphic His475Tyr variant of GCPII hydrolyzes FolGlun substrates with the same kinetic parameters as the wild-type enzyme. Furthermore, this thesis focuses on structural aspects of the substrate specificities of GCPII and GCPIII: we present...

Reakce sýkor koňader (Parus major) na obraz v zrcadle / Reactions of great tits (Parus major) to a mirror image

Forštová, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
Self-recognition is commonlly taken as a higher ability and it was previously considered to be exclusive to spieces who are cognitively more capable, as humans or apes. However during years other animal species with no expectancy of this ability were tested, such as elephants and cetaceans, and even there the signs of self-recognition were found. The most common test for self-recognition is the mark test. The animal is marked with none-olfactoric and none-tactile mark somewhere on the part of its body which can not be seen without mirror. If the subject recognizes itself in the mirror, it will try to wipe out the mark of its body with help of the mirror image. In our experiment we used great tit (Parus major) as a testing species and three types of mirror tests were carried our. Except the fact that great tits are able to succesfully learn to use the mirror image to search hidden food, we found no evidence of self-recognition in mark test. Therefore we believe that this passerine species is not capable of this type of self-recognition.

Model zákazníka generace Y na trhu bankovních a jiných finančních produktů v kontextu behaviorální ekonomie / Model of Generation Y Customer on the Market of Banking and Other Financial Products in the Context of Behavioral Economics

Fojtů, Kateřina January 2019 (has links)
The dissertation focuses on identifying a typical generation Y representative on the financial products market and, on the basis of these characteristics, creates a model of generation Y customer on the financial products market in the context of behavioral economics. Based on the literature research, the terms "generation Y" and "selected knowledge of behavioral economics" were defined. The literature research also led to creating a questionnaire that was used to obtain primary research data. Secondary research has characterized consumers on the financial products market. Secondary research focused on the form of payment; relationship to technologies; cash and cashless payments; relation to cryptocurrencies; relation to savings; digital banking transformation; financial behavior of Czech households. Primary research has focused on obtaining information in the field of behavioral economics, specifically the prejudices of the Czech generation Y; and on what financial market products the Czech generation Y uses and generation’s relationship to risks, provided information and satisfaction with products. Primary research data was used as input data for structural equation modeling. Because of this method, mutual relationships between selected products have been found; customer characteristics and heuristics. The benefit of this work lies in the characteristics of customers in the selected market. It is a sector that is slowly entering the digitalization period, and understanding the young generation, which now accounts for a third of its customers, is crucial for companies. If companies are not able to respond to the changing needs of the younger generations, they can lose their customers and hence revenue.

Moderní mikroextrakční techniky pro analýzy plynovou chromatografií / Modern microextraction techniques for gas chromatographic analysis

Bursová, Miroslava January 2018 (has links)
The submitted thesis is focused on the development, optimization, testing and practical application of the new microextraction method called Bell Shaped Extraction Device assisted Liquid-Liquid Microextraction (BSED-LLME). The method is based on the application of a miniature bell-shaped extraction tool in which the extraction takes place, so that only minimal solvent losses can occur, and which allows a reproducible dosing and collection of a small volume of the extraction solvent. The BSED- LLME method was used to preconcentrate selected volatile and less volatile analytes from aqueous samples into organic solvents of a density lower than water. After the extraction, the analytes were determined by fast gas chromatography with flame ionization detection and gas chromatography with mass spectrometry. The statistical methods known as Design of Experiment (DOE) were used for determination of the optimal extraction conditions for BSED-LLME procedure. DOE is based on a mathematical description of the system and the prediction of the optimal setting of experimental parameters that may influence extraction efficiency. Factors such as extraction time, volume of extraction solvent, addition of sodium chloride (ionic strength), stirring rate and the diameter of the extraction vessel ect., have been tested....
