Impact events and associated processes can significantly reshape the natural environment of the Earth and other bodies in the Solar system. The Siljan impact crater in the middle of Sweden was created in late Devonian and it is the biggest known morphostructure of this kind in Europe. The presented paper aims at the relief evolution of the Siljan impact crater area. Landforms of the region are studied, including relicts of the impact event, and main stages of relief evolution from the Paleozoic to the present are determined. Special attention is focused to discussion about the range and types of erosional and denudational processes in relation to the level of preservation of morphological and geological indices about the Devonian impact. Ascertained knowledge about relicts of the Siljan impact event are compared with selected impact craters on the Earth, the Moon and Mars.

The topic of thesis deals with a hydrological model SWAT used for impact assessment of landscape structure on surface water pollution in Krivoklatsko protected area. For this purpose using ArcSWAT in the ArcGIS environment there were built hydrological models of three watersheds of various landscape structure located in the area of interest. The measured data of nitrate were used for these models. Concentration of nitrates in the surface waters were simulated by using these models in the period from 2003 until mid-2014. The statistical evaluation of the models including actual landscape structure did not show satisfactory match of the simulated values with the measured values. Due to the uncertainties of the model, including insufficient quantity of measured nitrates, it was not possible to expect exact results. After validation of basic models, it was important to create new models that would include various scenarios of landscape structure organization. New versions represented changes in the use of land classified as arable land in pasture or mixed forests, in the area around the stream to 250 m and 500 m. Modelování znečištění povrchových vod v CHKO Křivoklátsko s využitím GIS / Modelling of surface water pollution in Krivoklatsko protected area using GIS

Environmental modelling is lately becoming to be one of the most important decision support systems. Hydrological models present significant potential for use especially in area of surface and groundwater protection. In the diploma thesis, the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) was used to evaluate nitrate surface water pollution in nine catchments situated in Křivoklátsko protected area during the period of 2003 - 2010. Modelling process consist of assorted consequent steps. First the hydrological model of each catchment was created. Afterwards the sensitivity analysis was conducted to select most sensitive model parameters. Calibration process was carried out after the parameters selection using SWAT-CUP automatic calibration tool. Model results were visualized and evaluated. The results of the model suggested, that the area of interest was not widely endangered by nitrate pollution. Within each catchment the critical source areas of nitrate pollution were identified. It was observed that these areas are related with intensive agricultural areas. Nitrate leaching ranged from 6 kg.ha-1 to 10 kg.ha-1 per year in agriculture areas. Some areas exceed this amount. This thesis is dealing with an analysis of thermal and mechanical loads on a work-roll. First, hot rolling focused on work-roll is described in general. A theoretical analysis of roll loads and the mechanisms affecting roll durability are presented here. The thesis is concentrated on creation of a model in FEM program ANSYS. The final model is loaded with different rolling schemes and monitored stresses in a surface layer. The parameters obtained from the measurements performed in a rolling mill are applied as boundary conditions within the model.

Currently, many various technologies of thin films are developed and there are many applications in various industrial sectors. This thesis first gives a brief overview of deposition methods, plasma behavior during deposition and subsequent description of the selected methods of application due to the physical and chemical processes. They also discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the described coating technologies, and several examples of their use. The thesis should thus contribute to the overall view of modern coating technologies, their development and use currently, or possible use in the future.

GEOMORPHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE OCCURRENCE OF MOLDAVITES IN THE CENTRAL EUROPE ABSTRACT: In the presented paper, geomorphological aspects of the occurrence od moldavites are evaluated. The origin od moldavites in the Miocene and position of their main finding places in Czechia is described. For studies and documentation of morphology of the surface of moldavites was used the collection of the Faculty od Science at Charles University. Special attention during field geomorphic servey of finding places of moldavites was attend to the localities between settlements Ločenice, Nesměň and Chlum nad Malší. Main features od the natural environment were identified as well as recent changes of landforms caused by prohibited and legal extraction of moldavites. All notable finding places of moldavites in the southern Bohemia are affected by these anthropogenic changes of the landscape. It is discussed that absence of moldavites in some denuded areas of the region where they are occurring can indicate a range of rocks exhumation since the upper Miocene. On the contrary, it is suggested thah morphostratigraphical significance od sporadic findings of moldavites many kilometres from primary localities is limited by a low resistance of the shape and volume of moldavites in relation to fluvial transport. Porézní anodická alumina (PAA) je oxidová vrstva vytvořená anodickou oxidací hliníku, která má široké průmyslné využití. Její popularita zaznamenala exponenciální nárůst zejména v oblasti nanotechnologií, k čemu přispělo objevení jejího samouspořádání do struktury o nanorozměrech připomínající včelí plástev. Její jednoduchá příprava a laditelné vlastnosti z ní tvoří levný způsob výroby nanostruktur. Ve stejném duchu se tato disertační práce zabývá metodami přípravy funkčních nanostruktur za využití PAA. První část je zaměřena na výrobu pole nanosloupců z oxidu titaničitého (TiO2) a jejich možné použití jako fotoanody pro štěpení vody. TiO2 nanostloupce jsou tvořeny anodizací hliníkové vrstvy na titanovém substrátu, také nazývanou PAA-asistovaná anodizace. Táto studie demonstruje elektrochemické vlastnosti a fotoelektrochemickou aktivitu nano sloupců vytvořených z dusíkem obohacených substrátů, které byly následně různě termálně modifikovány. Hlavním poznatkem studie je, že špatné vlastnosti jsou způsobeny dutou morfologií nanosloupců. Tento poznatek vedl k rozsáhle studii zabývající se dopadem anodizačných podmínek na morfologii ale i stabilitu vytvořených nanosloupců, jejímž výsledkem byla nová strategie anodizace. Druhá část prezentuje výrobní proces přípravy uspořádané vrstvy zlatých nanočástic na transparentním substrátu pro jejich použití jako optického senzoru využívající efekt rezonance lokalizovaných povrchových plasmonů. Základem této multidisciplinární metody je využití kombinace samouspořádání PAA k výrobě šablony a následného procesu řízeného smáčení v pevné fázi tenké vrstvy zlata. Táto práce detailně popisuje technologické aspekty přípravy; od samotné výroby šablon z hliníku, přes vytváření zlatých nanočástic, až po jejich přenos na transparentní substrát. Na závěr této práce jsou kompozity z nanočástic charakterizovány, přičemž je porovnána jejich citlivost na změnu indexu lomu okolí a jejich stálost. Ze závěrů vyplývá, že tato poměrně velkoplošná a levná metoda je konkurence schopná i v oblasti senzorické citlivosti.
