The focus of this paper is on the bourgeoisie of Early New Age, as presented through the manuscript Zápisky Zikmunda Turnovského z Turnštejna a jeho zetě Tobiáše Rumpála z Kunratic v Prachaticích, počaté roku 1666. The manuscript represents the self written memoirs of the burgesses{\crq}. It reflects their experiences and events in their home town of Prachatice. The manuscript may be considered as both the burgess chronicle as well as the town chronicle. The purpose of this work is to confirm or refute the manuscript{\crq}s relations to the other memoirs dating back to the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The main emphases will be on the common and specific signs of the manuscripts. This work can be divided into two parts, namely the edition and interpretation. While the edition deals with the writing and its specifics, the interpretation focuses on its content. The most important part is how the salt business had considerable influence on the history and development of the town and its residents. The authors of the presented manuscript represent Prachatice bourgeoisie. The authors' personalities determine the formal features and themes of the records in the manuscript.

The topic of the thesis is the development of settlement in the borderland, especially in Prachatice region. The thesis is divided into literary and practical part. The literary part is divided into five chapters. In the first two chapters, the reader is familiarized with the concept of the borderland, then with the term Sudetenland. Furthermore, the literary part deals with the history of settlement in our country, beginning with prehistoric times, through the arrival of the Slavs, great colonization, the Hussite war, the Thirty Years' War, the abolition of serfdom and also it focuses on historical evolution of the 20th century. Furthermore, the history of settlements focuses on the settlement in the Bohemian forest (well-known as Šumava in czech language), where the reader is primarily informed about the period of occupation and post-war events. At the end of the literary part there is an overview of factors that influenced rural development until now. The main part of the thesis is mainly practical. It is based on the family tree of the author and focuses on the villages where the family lived or still has been living. Some villages have been saved and preserved after the World War II., some villages were destroyed and disappeared from the maps after the Germans moved away. The practical part maps each of these villages, describes their development and records how the villages looked on the maps of land and cadestral register and how they have changed into today's form during history.

The thesis analyze the development of number of the population in the distrikt Prachatice in between years 1869 - 2001. Because of the decrease in population, this thesis also analyze the development of the seat structure of the towns and villages. Next point is to analyze the development of the national structure from the beginning with emphasis on the development after the World War II. Thesis text is supplemented with graphs, maps, tables and pictures of the individual seats, which records the most important phenomena. Last part is for the homeland study lessons. There are the working lists and subjects for the walks and excursions in the surroundings, which are targeted for junior elementary school classes.

The thesis "The Party of the Expelled" in the Český Krumlov and Prachatice district 1970-1980 through the research of regional context deepens the knowledge of the process of establishment and legitimization of Normalization in the periphery of the Czech borderland. On the basis of archival materials, mainly from the District Committees of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ) in Český Krumlov and Prachatice and other sources within the Party hierarchy, it tries to map the course of the consolidation process and party purges in 1970. Compared to nationwide data, it attempts to capture the specifics of the Czechoslovakian periphery. The main task of the thesis is to analyze various fate of excluded members of the KSČ: the so-called "Party of the Expelled." The analysis focuses on their diverse life trajectories and ways of dealing with separation from the party collective, with special regard to the various loyalties that these people were tied to the party, to the society, workplaces and, last but not least, to each other. Through this analysis, the role of this segment of the population in establishing the legitimacy of the Normalization regime is shown. This diploma thesis deals with the drinking water quality in the Prachatice Hospital. In every healthcare facility, it is essential to maintain and monitor the quality of drinking water. The diploma thesis has the following objectives: Evaluation of the quality and quantity of drinking water and hot water at the Prachatice Hospital in certain time periods, comparison between another hospital in the South Bohemian region with the occurrence of Legionell in the given period, the possibility of solving crisis situations in accidents in the healthcare facility and possibilities of rainwater use in the Prachatice Hospital. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part of the thesis describes basic concepts related to the quality of drinking water, indicators of drinking water and a section is devoted to a water accident in the Prachatice Hospital in the autumn of 2015. The practical part was processed by the method of secondary analysis of data. The necessary data for the analysis was obtained directly at the Prachatice Hospital and at the Regional Hygiene Office in České Budějovice. For the analysis, data from January 2011 to January 2017 was used and processed in Microsoft Excel into tables and charts. The results show the overall drinking water supply situation in the Prachatice Hospital. The work could draw attention to the problems and issues associated with emergency situations, for example. Hospital management and professionals in drinking water technology department can get a comprehensive overview of the hospital's drinking water supply from its own well, public well and the public water supply.

This master thesis inquires into selected chapters from the late medieval history of the town Prachatice. The first part of the thesis deals with the unclear legal status of the town and with the issue of its promotion to the royal town and its subsequent pawnings in the 15th century. It is a question that has not been sufficiently reflected in literature yet and there is also no agreement whether Prachatice was a royal pawned town or a liege town. The second part discusses the issue of the economic status of the town Prachtice in the context of the Southern Bohemian salt business wherein Prachatice played a crucial role. This part of the thesis is based on a thorough analysis of the staple right of the town Prachatice and the right which covered the compulsory direction of the routes. Further, it deals with the competition of the town Prachatice in the import of salt to Bohemia and with the outline of the directions of the routes that were starting in Prachatice. These routes were the matters of disputes with other involved towns. This thesis is delimited by the period of the Late Middle Ages until the beginning or the first quarter of the 16th century. This master thesis describes the course of bankruptcy proceedings. The teoretical part deals with both approaches to bankruptcy proceedings and tax and accounting impacts on a company in bankruptcy. The practical part concentrates on a real insolvent company with articulating possibilities for prevention of the insolvency. Next, it suggests an effective realization of assets in bankruptcy.

The main theme of my thesis is the city administration of Prachatice as a seigniorial town between the years 1622 and 1699. I've focused my attention primarily on the functioning of the town hall in Prachatice. I've tried to reconstruct its staff structure and I've also been engaged in the renewal of the autonomy town authority related with it town hall, elders and the town reeve. The primary sources for my work were the town councillor manuals, lists of renewals, wedding contract books and testament books stored in the state regional archive in Prachatice, in stock Archive of the Prachatice town. I used sources, which were created during the renovation process, stored in the state regional archive in Třeboň, workplace Český Krumlov, and register books stored in the state regional archive in Třeboň. In the opening chapters I've tried to generally familiarize with the essential literature, the towns autonomy and town laws. I've compared the Prachatice autonomy with studies engaged in autonomy authorities of other towns.

The thesis deals with the issue of waste management from hospitals. This issue includes their production, sorting, collection, storage and disposal. In 1991 the first law about waste in the Czech republic was created. Till this time the waste management was not priority and waste disposal was not sensible. Currently, more attention is paid to the management of medical waste. The lay public can not imagine what kind of waste occur in health care and how it tis disposed. Health facilities are big producers of different kind of waste which is health risk not even from injuries but also risk of serious infections. Waste is often dangerous and its disposal must be separated from other communal waste. Liquidation and disposal of waste from health facility requires observance of the legislation law, regulations and goverment regulations including a catalog of waste. Many people come into contact with waste from health facility. Waste can threats patients, medical staff and other staff which is involved in handling it or involved in disposing of waste. Improper waste disposal can threaten population and also have negative inpact on the environment. The Hospital Prachatice a.s. is quite large company that produces large amount of waste. These wastes are additionally characterized by great diversity and waste management is not a simple matter. No only medical personnel and other staff are producers of waste in health facility but also outpatients or hospital patients contribute to total volume of produced waste by large proportion. The firt step to reduce the cost of waste disposal is the minimization of its occurrence. This step requires properly trained medical staff and in some cases also acquiring new working practices. For correct sorting of waste are needed other requisites such as well chosen and correct collection means, their correct labeling and their safety. Waste management in Hospital Prachatice a.s. is in accordance with the law. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains the issue of waste produced in healthcare facilities. Then, there is a characteristic of waste from healthcare facilities and their classification. The significant section is devoted to the applicable legislation and the main strategic EU documents and EU directives of waste. The study also mentioned the correct waste management and their sorting and collection. The practical part was processed using qualitative research - a secondary analysis of data. Analyzed data was obtained from annual reports of Hospital Prachatice a.s. and from operating rules of waste management. For research was chosen the time period 2008-2014. For clarity the resulting data were subsequently processed in tabular and grafical forms in Microsoft Excel. As next research method was used semistructured interview which was conducted with employees in selected health care facility. Next, in theoretical part was made qualitive research. This survey was conducted through semi-structured interviews whose aim was to determine the knowledge of workers from selected medical waste facilities. Presented diploma thesis with name "Es kommt der Tag...Heims ins Reich?" Expulsion of Sudeten Germans from Czechoslovakia on example of town Prachatice introduces in detail, on the basis of still existing archival materials with normality, steps against people with German nationality after the end of the Second World War. The issue was restriction of their own rights, loss of Czechoslovakia citizenship, in some cases also of freedom, their categorization, assembly for expulsion purpose and transfer of these persons outside borders of Czechoslovakia. The thesis describes in detail course of expulsion, from genesis of this idea to its assertion and preparation to its actual realization. Important part of this thesis is its subsequent application of the presented general facts at specific place town Prachatice. Thanks to it an extensive list with names of German citizens divided according to individual despatched transports and according to original house's numbers of people, who were put in these transports, was created.
