Analýza mediální komunikace vybraných minipivovarů / Analysis of media communication of selected microbreweries

A thesis on analysis media communication of selected microbreweries explores the relationship between small brewing companies and media. The work focuses on selected small businesses, offering to consume their own beer on-site production, ie., breweries whose part is the restaurant operation. The thesis depicts the first principles of marketing and media communications and a brief history of beer brewing in the Czech Republic. It also discusses the particular selected Prague microbreweries and evaluates elements of their presentation and promotion in traditional and new media. Chapters are dedicated to quantitative and qualitative research, which familiarize readers with theoretical knowledge of these surveys, the design of the questionnaire survey and its results. Similarly, also provide information regarding the implementation and results stemming from interviews with representatives of selected microbreweries within qualitative research. In conclusion, based on the acquired knowledge and research, a set of recommendations are provided for the improvement of marketing communication media for each of the microbreweries.

1 Abstract Title: Comparison of interest in sports activities between high school students in Prague and in Karlovy Vary region Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find and compare the interest in sport between two groups - high school students in Prague and Karlovy Vary region. Furthermore, the aim is also to find out the reason why students do sport or why students have even no interest in sport. Another objective is to find and compare the way how students in both regions spend their leisure time. Lastly, sports conditions were verified in both regions. Methods: Interest in sports activities has been investigated by using a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire was specially created for this research. Results: Research has shown that the level of sport activity is higher by students from Karlovy Vary region than by students from Prague. Although the conditions for sports activities are worse in Karlovy Vary region than in Prague, students do sport more often and doing sport is more popular in comparison with other leisure time activities. The thesis deals with the formation of the European bar scene in the interwar period through the new phenomenon of entertainment, so called the American Bar which became the symbolic point of social gathering for elites. However, it was the fuel of social progress as an open forum for communication between genders as well. The main part focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the American Bar and its development as the phenomenon, based on the comparison of European cities, particularly London, Berlin and Prague. The main aim of the study was to analyze the phenomenon as the location of the post-war feelings and the option for the new wave of hedonism associated with rising living standards, while the cities were given into clash in their intensity manifestations of the phenomenon. The thesis outlines the overall atmosphere of the bar from many different perspectives, above all, through the forms of bar promotion, the activities of associations, legislative responses, the normal operation of the bar, the professional part of the bar and the everyday socio-cultural impact on the lives of consumers, but also by reflecting on the bar culture in art.

A B S T R A C T This study examines the impact of catastrophic flood on the species com- position and size of fish prey in the diet of kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) nest- ing in Prague's Botič stream in 2013. Floods in June 2013 affected mainly Bohemia and partly Moravia. The streams across the Vltava river basin, in part of the Elbe river basin and marginally in the Thaya river got swollen. The effect of the flood on the Botič stream was further ampli- fied by draining of water from the dam Hostivař. Hundred and forty year water caused considerable damage to property and it is likely that it also changed the character and size composition of biota, especially fish. This change should be reflected naturally in the diet of kingfisher, which nests and hunts here. The species composition and size of fish prey in the diet of kingfisher before and after the catastrophic flood was investigated from the mass of regurgitated pellets collected from nest tunnels and chambres. In the nesting sediment, 689 head diagnostic bones (pharyngeal bones - ossa pharyngea and preopercual bones - praeoperculare) were found before the flood on Botič stream in June 2013. The thesis deals with the issue of computer literacy of elderly people and the offer of these courses in Prague. First part of the thesis is devoted to theoretical and analytical introduction of terms such as old age, aging, age, older adult, literacy and education of elderly people. This part also provides a deeper insight into gerontagogy and gerontodiadactics related to ICT literacy. The second part contains an analysis of the internet offer of computer literacy courses in Prague and the results of the quantitative questionnaire survey. These results are analysed and explained. Then the specified hypotheses are evaluated on their base. The thesis is written on the base of a comparison of scholarly sources from Czech and foreign authors and on analysis and synthesis of the data identified in the survey. Title: The Benefits of football match for spectators Objectives: The main aim of this diploma thesis is to describe and analyze the football match as a product that is offered to direct spectators at AC Sparta Prague stadium in the season 2010/2011 and then using marketing research determine their satisfaction with the benefits that football match brings them. Methods: In this thesis there was used three methods: the observation method, interview and the method of written questioning. Observation method was used to collect information during home matches of football club AC Sparta Prague, interview was used at the meeting with experts from the club and the method of written questioning was used to implement the questionnaire survey. Results: The results of the marketing research showed that spectators are satisfied with the benefits that club offers them and they don't see any major drawbacks. Nevertheless, the thesis attempts to outline some recommendations which should lead to improved spectators' comfort at the stadium and higher match attendance. This thesis is focused on the social housing as a housing policy instrument in the territory of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The thesis evaluates the concept from the two comparative advantages of the social housing policy - the first is increase in availability of housing for households that are disadvantaged on the housing market; the second is the possible prevention of development of social- excluded sites. Here in the thesis, those aspects of social housing are investigated on the base of the policy of the Municipality of the capital Prague and on the policy of the particular city-districts. More in detail the impacts of social housing policy are presented for the case of Prague 14 and especially in the case of housing estate Černý Most. There is a high ratio of the municipal housing. Cinematography in the Czech lands went through a dynamic development during first decades of the 20th century. Original nomadic theatres and vaudevilles were replaced by permanent cinemas. The first one of this kind in the Czech lands was opened in 1907 in Brno. Movies became soon one of the most common way of spending free time as it was obtainable to all sorts of public. The biggest amount of movie theatres were obviously located in bigger aglomerations, the highest level of cinemas in Czech lands were concentrated in Prague. Here, in the center of the Czech capital, had also started a new trend of building a big screening halls, for a first time originaly projected only for a cinema purpose. These venues, builded in the 20's of 20th century as a part of commercial and financial palaces, were unique for reason to be premiere cinemas. Owners of majority of these special cinemas got together into a special ellite club called The association of the premiere cinemas. The theoretical part characterizes the drama education, enumerates its principles and methods of work. The theoretical part deals with inclusion of history and drama education in Framework educational program. It deals with positives of drama education and its potential problems. The practical part includes sample lessons on the topic of Prague and the history associated with it. These lessons are put into practice and described their process, including some relevant situations for this topic.
