Veřejnost a ochrana přírody - možnosti psychologické intervence / Public behaviour in protected areas - possible psychological interventionsZahradníková, Šárka January 2011 (has links)
The thesis presents results of a qualitative research conducted in The Giant Mountains National Park (Czech Republic). The research objective was to assess effects of various behaviour modification strategies on rule acceptance among Park visitors. Using a particular group of visitors (i.e. skialpinists) as an example, the conflict relationship between Park authorities and the public is described, as well as its sources and consequences for conservation efforts. Moreover, effectivity of six psychological strategies (participation, modelling, feedback providing, information providing, social norms highlighting and prompts) aimed at enhancing rule acceptance is discussed, based on focus group, as well as "real life test" data.

Automatické ladění vah pravidlových bází znalostí / Automated Weight Tuning for Rule-Based Knowledge BasesValenta, Jan January 2009 (has links)
This dissertation thesis introduces new methods of automated knowledge-base creation and tuning in information and expert systems. The thesis is divided in the two following parts. The first part is focused on the legacy expert system NPS32 developed at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication, Brno University of Technology. The mathematical base of the system is expression of the rule uncertainty using two values. Thus, it extends information capability of the knowledge-base by values of the absence of the information and conflict in the knowledge-base. The expert system has been supplemented by a learning algorithm. The learning algorithm sets weights of the rules in the knowledge base using differential evolution algorithm. It uses patterns acquired from an expert. The learning algorithm is only one-layer knowledge-bases limited. The thesis shows a formal proof that the mathematical base of the NPS32 expert system can not be used for gradient tuning of the weights in the multilayer knowledge-bases. The second part is focused on multilayer knowledge-base learning algorithm. The knowledge-base is based on a specific model of the rule with uncertainty factors. Uncertainty factors of the rule represents information impact ratio. Using a learning algorithm adjusting weights of every single rule in the knowledge base structure, the modified back propagation algorithm is used. The back propagation algorithm is modified for the given knowledge-base structure and rule model. For the purpose of testing and verifying the learning algorithm for knowledge-base tuning, the expert system RESLA has been developed in C#. With this expert system, the knowledge-base from medicine field, was created. The aim of this knowledge base is verify learning ability for complex knowledge-bases. The knowledge base represents heart malfunction diagnostic base on the acquired ECG (electrocardiogram) parameters. For the purpose of the comparison with already existing knowledge-basis, created by the expert and knowledge engineer, the expert system was compared with professionally designed knowledge-base from the field of agriculture. The knowledge-base represents system for suitable cultivar of winter wheat planting decision support. The presented algorithms speed up knowledge-base creation while keeping all advantages, which arise from using rules. Contrary to the existing solution based on neural network, the presented algorithms for knowledge-base weights tuning are faster and more simple, because it does not need rule extraction from another type of the knowledge representation.

Uživatelské rozhraní systému ERIAN v prostředí webových technologií / User interface of system ERIAN based on web technologiesFinger, Artur January 2019 (has links)
ERIAN is a complex business rule management system developed by com- pany Komix. Part of this system is the Rule Management Interface (RMI) which allows users to create, edit, schedule, test and otherwise manage their business rules. The RMI is implemented as a thick client based on C# and WPF, which has its disadvantages. This thesis provides a prototypical implementation of the RMI as a thin client based on cutting-edge web technologies. This thesis predominantly deals with the choice of the correct technologies for the task, while allowing develop- ment and maintainance of different customized versions of the RMI and making sure the prototype handles working with business rules seamlessly even if they are exceptionally large. The resultant RMI prototype is well testable and adds several new function- ality features, compared to the original. It lays a good foundation for a complete re-implementation of the RMI as a thin client.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate chosen business rules management systems. In addition, it should provide global overview of all business rules area. Crucial definitions and principles related to the Business Rules Management are introduced in the first part of the thesis. The different types ofbusiness rules description, therelation between business rules and business processes, and technology used for BRMS are specified among others. In the second section, the evaluation criteria are created based the previous theoretical analysis. The criteria are divided into groups based on a functionality that should be provided by a business rules management system. The evaluation and its results are presented in the last part of the thesis. The results are discussed and the final conclusion is provided. The thesis can be used as baseline in the decision making process when a business rules management system is to be purchased.

Úloha energetického matebolismu při odchylce od Mendelovské dědičnosti v případě t-haplotypu u myší / The Role of Energetic Metabolism in the t-haplotype Transmission ratio distortionMarvanová, Hana January 2017 (has links)
When two alleles carried by a heterozygote are transmitted unequally to the zygote at the time of fertilization, transmission ratio distortion occurs. The best studied example of this phenomenon in mammals is t-haplotype in mice. The mouse t-haplotype is a selfish variant region on chromosome 17, in nature transmitted as a unit. Male mice homozygous for t haplotype are sterile, but heterozygotes transmit the t haplotype up to 99% of their progeny. This is believed to be caused by motility differences between sperm carrying the t haplotype and wild-type sperm from the same heterozygous male. The concrete mechanism of the postulated sperm competition in favour of t haplotype carrying sperm was so far not fully illuminated. During this project, we worked with the hypothesis that the differences in sperm motility putatively responsible for transmission ratio distortion are triggered, at least in part, by metabolic causes. Our results from ATP and mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP) comparison indeed suggest that there are metabolic dissimilarities in sperm from the different genotypes of t (t/t, t/+, +/+). Specifically, our data show that there is significantly less ATP in t/t sperm when compared to the other two genotypes. Likewise, sperm from t/t mice also seem to have lower MMP, suggesting that...

Vnímání konců slov u studentů angličtiny / Word-ending perception in second-language learners of EnglishJiránková, Lucie January 2017 (has links)
THESIS ABSTRACT Word final positions are sometimes described as optionally salient, depending on the presence or the absence of bound morphology. In fact, word final positions often incur disruptive phonological processes (such as deletion or assimilation) but these processes are partially blocked in the presence of bound morphology. Some evidence suggests that these effects may also be active in the sublexicon (i.e. with no access to semantics). Investigations of this phenomenon so far focused on monolingual speakers, and little is known about the presence of these effects on speakers with English as their L2. This diploma thesis aims at partially filling this gap by focusing on the perceptual salience of word endings as perceived by second- language learners of English having Czech as their L1. The methodology is based on Cilibrasi (2015). The subjects tested were adult second- language learners of English of different language levels (B1, B2 and C1). In the experimental part, they were asked to listen to pairs of non-words and decide if the non-words are identical or slightly different by pressing one of two keys. There were three conditions: Condition 1 with non-words containing potential morphological information, condition 2 with non-words with no morphological information and condition 3 as a control...

Přiměřenost čtyřleté sankce zákazu činnosti za první úmyslné porušení antidopingových pravidel a její dopad na kariéru profesionálních sportovců / Proportionality of a four-year ineligibility for the first intentional anti-doping rule violations and its impact on professional athletes' careersPlevková, Tereza January 2021 (has links)
Title: Proportionality of a four-year ineligibility for the first intentional anti-doping rule violations and its impact on professional athletes' careers Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to ascertain whether the four-year ineligibility for the first intentional anti-doping rule violations has liquidation impact on professional athletes' careers. Methods: For quantitative research, I have used the electronic interrogation method and for qualitative research the in-depth semi-structured interview. Results: I have found that most athletes really do perceive a four-year ineligibility for the first intentional anti-doping rule violations as disproportionate. Only 24 % of surveyed athletes said that a four-year ineligibility is an appropriate punishment. 82 % of surveyed athletes would end their careers after receiving a four-year ineligibility, and just 30 % of them think that It's realistic to go back to an active career after a four-year break. Moreover, athletes have consistently said that the most crucial obstacles to their return are financial distress, loss of motivation and lack of racing mode. On the basis of these results, I have also developed my own solution to ineligibility for the first intentional anti-doping rule violations. Keywords: proportionality, sanction, ineligibility,...

O vymazávacích pravidlech v řízených gramatikách / On Erasing Rules in Regulated GrammarsZemek, Petr January 2010 (has links)
This work discusses the effect of erasing rules to the generative power of regulated grammars, which is a big open problem in the theory of regulated rewriting. It studies the possibility of removal of erasing rules from regulated grammars by aggregation of current, up-to-date results concerning this elimination and by presentation of a new condition, called k-limited erasing, under which all erasing rules can be always removed from regularly controlled context-free grammars without affecting their generative power. This result partially solves the abovementioned problem. Moreover, a new algorithm for elimination of erasing rules from context-free grammars is presented. This algorithm does not require any predetermination of so called epsilon-nonterminals (in contrast to the standard algorithm used in textbooks). In the conclusion, a significance of these results concerning syntactical analysis is discussed.
