Syndrom vyhoření u učitelů na základní škole / Burnout Syndrom in Primary School Teachers

Abstract The diploma thesis is of the theoretic-empirical character. Its subject matter is concentrated on defining of the concept of the burnout syndrom at primary school teachers. The first part of my project is dealing with defining of the concept of the burn out and with what relation between the concept of stress and burn out is. Next part of my project is dealing with separate phases of the burn out process and its marks. Following part is dealing with the causes of the origin of the burnout syndrom. The other charter explains the definition of helping profession and it concentrates on the teacher´s profession and its specificity. In this project I´m paying attention to how burnout syndrome influences the teacher´s results in his work. Final chapter of the theoretical part is dealing with the possibilities in managing and preventoin of burnout syndrom in teacher´s work. Practical part was carried out by the means of questionnaire survey. Gained informatoin are used for the comparison of occurrence of burnout syndrom manifestation and different length of pedogogical practice. The aim of the practical part is to compare whether the length of the pedagogical practice influences the frequency of the manifestation of burnout syndrom.

Becoming a teacher - a male perspective

This diploma thesis takes a closer look at the aspects that influence the process of becoming a teacher from the perspective of men. The theoretical part focuses first on general factors such as the personality of a teacher and teaching profession. It discusses the importance of a teacher?s personality and its development. Furthermore, it gives a description of the teaching profession, its demands and requirements, and its different phases. Next, it proceeds to a more specific issue which is the position of men in education. Finally, it describes teachers of foreign languages as a specific group of experts. In the practical part five male teachers at different stages of their careers are interviewed. They are asked about specific aspects that influence the process of becoming a teacher. The questions are structured into three parts: becoming a teacher, demands and requirements of the teaching profession, and men in education. At the end of the thesis my own conception of a good teacher is introduced.

The Social Spaces of Female Intellectual Careers in the Mid-Nineteenth Century Pest-Buda I examine three Hungarian female intellectual careers of the 19th century in the context of the urban and also the rural lifestyle. I focus on the role of Pest-Buda in the professions of female writers, editors and actresses. Therefore, the subjects of the three case studies are the representatives of these professions: Júlia Szendrey (1828 - 1868) as poet, writer and translator, Emília Kánya (1828 - 1905) as the first female editor of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and Kornélia Prielle (1826 - 1906) as successful actress who experienced significant alterations in the assessment of her profession. My main research questions are the following: What was the role of the countryside and Pest-Buda in the female intellectual careers in the 19th century? How did the intellectual women use the urban space in Pest-Buda? What was the role of the first female intellectual professions (writer, editor, and actress) in the urban society? The main sources of the research are the so-called ego-documents (autobiographies, memoires, diaries, correspondences) as well as press products which were mediums of the contemporary debates about the female roles and professions. The aim of the thesis is to point out the stress factors present in the profession of a firefighter, define the concept of stress and suggest the options of coping with stressful and challenging situations. The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part is focused on clarifying the definition of the concept of stress, its types, manifestations and potential stressors. In addition, conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder, burnout, coping with stressful situations and Eysenck personality typology factors are explained. The empirical part is focused on the analysis of coping strategies, used by firefighters on the selected workplace and their connection to temperament, age and years of service. Based on the analysis, recommendations for management in HaZZ Nitra are suggested.

Popisuje ekonomickou situaci České republiky a charakterizuje trh práce, jeho strukturu a požadavky na pracovní sílu. Zaměřuje se především na analýzu situace ve středním školství, zejména v oblasti středních odborných učilišť. V práci je možné nalézt také negativní dopady, které může nedostatek technických profesí na trhu práce přinést. Cílem této práce jsou možná opatření a doporučení v oblasti aktivní politiky zaměstnanosti a v českém školství, která by mohla pomoci řešit vzniklou situaci.

This study discusses the lack of technical professions at the labour market which is experienced by employers in industry areas. It describes the economic situation in the Czech Republic and characterises the labour market, its structure and labour force requirements. It mainly focuses on the analysis of tertiary education. The study also points out possible future development in these industries, for comparison is the analyse in other EU countries enclosed. The research, which is one of the main parts of this work is focused on the university students and graduates with technical specialization. The aim of this study is to suggest possible measures and recommendations in the area of personal strategy and scarce workers approach in the market.
