In first part of this thesis will reader become familiar with term project management and its history. Later will be intorduced to standards of project management, meaning of the word project, there will be display of project lifecycle and defining succesful projects. There will also be an explanation of information systems and its basic models. At the end will be list of specific topics dealing with implementation of new information system. Second part will introduce case study of implementation specific warehouse information system. This project will be presented phase by phase and at the end evaluated from the perspective of strengths and weaknesses. Author will also prepare improvements for detected weaknesses.

In my thesis, I applied project management in optimizing activities in the implementation of wooden buildings. I used methods of PERT and CPM, and then compared their contribution to practical use in the implementation of the historic wooden buildings of baroque truss. I suggested classification methodology sorting random effects in the implementation of timber, which will be useful in the practice of project management. Then I confronted estimates project duration calculated according to these methods with real historical truss during construction.

This thesis deals with importance of correct project scope definition. The first part of this thesis explains terms and basic theory related to project management, which is necessary for understanding of the second part. In the second part, real projects are analyzed and the most common project scope definition mistakes are examined. Those mistakes are described and explained with possible solutions. Thesis also contains suggestions, based on real projects, how to avoid these mistakes.

As a topic of my master thesis, I chose the comparison of the actor's work in the project theater and the regular theater. In individual chapters, I describe the work in progress in these different environments. I describe the differences between both subjects and their influence on the actor's work.

Diplomová práce se zabývá psychologickými aspekty implementace TOC v oblasti řízení projektů. Cílem této práce je na základě analýzy identifikovat psychologický pohled na TOC a vymezit kulturní standardy, které ovlivňují implementaci teorie omezení do projektového řízení. Důraz je kladen na Českou republiku a české kulturní standardy.

The diploma thesis deals with an optimization of project management in a company ABB s.r.o. The main task is to introduce theoretical knowledge, methods and basic concepts concerning problems of project management in the company. In the practical part of the work we will focus on analysis and possible optimization of project management, particularly in selected departments of Process Automation Power Generation units (hereinafter PAPG). Part of the diploma thesis will be presentation of a description of the project management of selected company department, the analysis of the current state of project management to identify possible shortcomings and subsequent proposal of measures for their optimization.
