ABSTRACT This thesis explores the progression of my work through my graduate studies at the University of New Orleans. I examine the central psychological themes of the human experience. Through painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture, I investigate various ways of translating personal and universal experiences into open-ended visual allegories. These psychological narratives are intended to function ambiguously- allowing the viewer to develop their own ideas and responses to the work. Using the figure paired with symbols and also using mass-produced common objects to function as the figure; placing them in ambiguous environments, I juxtapose physical and psychological spaces that evoke emotions, experiences, memories, and identity. Объектом исследования стал профиль отношений и суверенность психологического пространства у блогеров социальной сети Instagram. Предметом исследования стала связь между профилем отношений и суверенностью психологического пространства у Instagram-блогеров. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка литературы (67 источников) и приложения, включающего в себя бланки применявшихся методик. Объем магистерской диссертации 105 страница, на которых размещены 16 рисунков и 13 таблиц. Во введении раскрывается актуальность проблемы исследования, разработанность проблематики, ставятся цель и задачи исследования, определяются объект и предмет исследования, формулируются основная и дополнительные гипотезы, указываются методы и эмпирическая база, а также этапы проведения исследования, научная новизна, теоретическая и практическая значимость работы. Первая глава включает в себя обзор иностранной и отечественной литературы по теме профиль отношений и суверенность психологического пространства. Представлен раздел, посвященный обзору социальной сети Instagram. Выводы по первой главе представляют собой итоги по изучению теоретического материала. Вторая глава посвящена эмпирической части исследования. В ней представлено описание организации и методов проведенного исследования и результатов, полученных по всем использованным методикам: опроснику «Суверенность психологического пространства-2010» (СПП) С.К. Нартовой-Бочавер; методике «Психологические границы личности» Э. Хартманна; тесту профиля отношений (Relationship Profile Test) Р. Борнстейна (Robert F. Bornstein); авторской анкете с вопросами о взаимодействии блогера с аудиторией. Также в главе представлен корреляционный и факторный анализ результатов исследования. Выводы по главе 2 включают в себя основные результаты эмпирического исследования. В заключении в обобщенном виде изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по выдвинутым гипотезам, обоснована практическая значимость исследования и описаны возможные перспективы дальнейшей разработки данной проблематики. / The object matter of the study is the the profile of relationships and the sovereignty of the psychological space of Instagram bloggers. The subject of the study is the interrelation between the the profile of relationships and the sovereignty of the psychological space of Instagram bloggers. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of literature (67sources) and an appendix, which includes the forms of the applied methodologies. The volume of the master's thesis is 105 pages, on which are placed 16 figures and 13 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the development of the problematics, the purpose and objectives of the research are set, the object and the subject of research are determined, the basic and additional hypotheses are formulated, the methods and the empirical base are specified, as well as the stages of the research, the scientific novelty, the theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes an overview of the domestic and foreign literature on the subject of profile of relationships and the sovereignty of the psychological space. A section dedicated to the overview of the social network Instagram is presented. Conclusions on the first chapter are the results of the study of theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It provides a description of the organization and methods of the study and the results obtained using all the methods used: the test (questionnaire) "Sovereignty of psychological space-2010" (SPP) S.K. Nartovoy-Bochaver; the methodology "Psychological boundaries of personality" E. Hartmann; the Relationship Profile Test by Robert F. Bornstein; author's questionnaire with questions about interaction. Also, the chapter presents a comparative, correlation and factor analysis of the results of the study. The findings of Chapter 2 are the main results of the empirical study. In conclusion, brief results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work are presented, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses. The practical significance of the study is substantiated and possible prospects for further development of the problematics are described.

This dissertation offers an analysis of the image of loss in modern American drama at three levels: the loss of physical space, loss of psychological space, and loss of moral space. The playwrights and plays examined are Tennessee Williams's The Glass Menagerie (1945), Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman (1949), Marsha Norman's 'night, Mother (1983), and Paula Vogel's How I Learned to Drive (1998). This study is the first scholarly work to discuss the theme of loss with these specific playwrights and works. This dissertation argues that loss is a central trope in twentieth-century American drama. The purpose of this dissertation is to analyze how the image of loss is modified and transformed in each playwright's work leading these images to reveal an emotional truth that transcends the plight of particular individuals or families and casting a universal appeal to a diverse audience. Chapters examine specific themes related to the theme of loss. As part of the critical methodology, the live spectacle of performance has been acknowledged. This study analyzes how Williams, Miller, Norman, and Vogel modify and transform the image of loss by focusing on the myth of the American dream, illusion versus reality, empowerment, and the complexity of human relationships. Although these plays are meant first and foremost to be appreciated as theater, that is to say "live performance," this study deals with these plays as drama, that is, as written texts. The audience observing the "live" spectacle and the reader of the text are both challenged to define their "own space." Williams, Miller, Norman, and Vogel, modify and transform the image of loss to reveal a common humanity that is not only a force in their work, but also a strong presence in the works of American dramatists as diverse as Eugene O'Neill and Adrienne Kennedy. From domestic drama to the drama of social and political criticism, Williams, Miller, Norman, and Vogel along with a medley of American playwrights, have taken the genre of American drama from backseat status (secondary to the novel and poem) into the forefront of recognized American literature.

Предметом исследования стало психологическое благополучие и связь таких факторов как: суверенность психологического пространства, способность к эмпатии, копинг поведение в стрессовых ситуациях. Магистерская диссертация состоит из введения, двух глав, заключения, списка литературы (116 источников) и приложения, включающего в себя бланки применявшихся методик. Также в главе представлен корреляционный анализ результатов исследования. Выводы по главе 2 включают в себя основные результаты эмпирического исследования. В заключении в обобщенном виде изложены результаты теоретической и эмпирической частей работы, а также выводы по выдвинутым гипотезам, обоснована практическая значимость исследования и описаны возможные перспективы дальнейшей разработки данной проблематики. / The object of the study was the relationship of psychological predictors and psychological well-being of first- and second-year students of higher educational institutions, age 18- 23 years. The subject of the study was psychological well-being and the relationship of such factors as: the sovereignty of psychological space, the ability to empathy, coping behavior in stressful situations. The master's thesis consists of an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references (116 sources) and an appendix, which includes forms of the methods used. The volume of the master's thesis is 102 pages, which contain 5 figures and 11 tables. The introduction reveals the relevance of the research problem, the elaboration of the problem, sets the purpose and objectives of the study, defines the object and subject of the study, formulates the main and additional hypotheses, specifies the methods and empirical base, as well as the stages of research, scientific novelty, theoretical and practical significance of the work. The first chapter includes a review of foreign and domestic literature on the topic of psychological well-being, analysis of psychological well-being of students and consideration of psychological predictors. The conclusions of the first chapter are the results of the study of theoretical material. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical part of the study. It describes the organization and methods of the study and the results obtained by all the methods used: the test (questionnaire) "K.Riff Scale of psychological well–being", "Diagnosis of Boyko's empathic abilities", the test -"Coping behavior in stressful situations", the questionnaire, the test "Sovereignty of psychological space. The chapter also presents a correlation analysis of the results of the study. The conclusions of Chapter 2 include the main results of an empirical study. In conclusion, the results of the theoretical and empirical parts of the work are summarized, as well as conclusions on the hypotheses put forward, the practical significance of the study is substantiated and possible prospects for further development of this problem are described.
