Boťchová, Lenka January 2013 (has links)
Bibliografická identifikace v angličtině Author's first name and surname: Lenka Boťchová, BA Title of the master thesis: Does status epilepticus during early postnatal period influence laboratory rat psychomotor development? Department: Department of Rehabilitation and Exercise Medicine Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. H. Kubová, DrSc. The year of presentation: 2013 Abstract: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of status epilepticus (SE) in postnatal development early phase on laboratory rat psychomotor development. Experimentally caused (SE) is the most common mode of epileptogenesis, which is the process leading to the epilepsy creation, and typical comorbidities. The influence of the early SE was studied when using lithium/pilocarpine model of SE induced on 12 days old rat cubs, which were repeatedly exposed to the "open field" test until 32nd day of their lives that means until the puberty beginning. The evaluation is focused on cognition and overall locomotion changes and anxiety demonstrations. The results show that in short periods after SE (up to 1 month) the cognitive functions regarding the habituation disorder are not worsened. However, hyperactivity short-term disposition and worse adaptability to experimental conditions due to animal anxiety increase were detected. Motor skills of...

Vliv přetrvájících primitivních reflexů na psychomotorický vývoj dětí s mozkovou obrnou / influence of persistent primitive reflexes of psychomotor development in children with cerebral palsy

Liscová, Irena January 2019 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on psychomotor development in children with cerebral palsy in context of persisting primitive reflexes. Opening chapters summarize theoretical knowledge about cerebral palsy, its etiology, clinical picture, forms and comprehensive diagnostics, including special education. The next part of the thesis focuses on psychomotor development of a child with cerebral palsy, in particular the gross and fine motor activity development and speech development. The main section of the thesis discusses the neurophysiological principles of primitive reflexes and their relevance for early development of a child. The primitive reflexes, one by one, as well as the influence of their persistence on the psychomotor development of the child with cerebral palsy and options of their integration by selected therapeutic concepts are presented. Attention is also paid to the importance of multidisciplinary cooperation of medical rehabilitation and special pedagogical care in the field of primitive reflexology. The practical part is based on qualitative methodology ad its operates with data gained from three case studies. The aim of the diploma thesis is to examine by means of case studies whether or not the integration of primitive reflexes demonstrably improves the psychomotor skills, behavior,...

This thesis is focused on the psychomotor development of institutionalized children of the early age, with regard to children who were prenatally under mother's abuse of pervitin. The theoretical part summarizes firstly mothers with drug addiction, secondly describes institutionalized care and its effect to children's development. Further there is a contemporary outline of the infant's institutionalized care system in the Czech Republic as well as statistical data about those infants. Last theoretical chapter describes developmental diagnostics methods of the children of early age with its specifics. Two selected diagnostic methods, used in our country, are deeply described here. All mentioned topics are submitted here based on deeply study of Czech, as well as international relevant literature sources. The empirical part of the thesis describes study, which was realized on the ground of particular infant care center. The study measures psychomotor development of infants, who were prenatally under mother's abuse of pervitin. This is compared to psychomotor development of infants, who had no those experiences of any illegal drug substance. There was no significant difference found out between these two groups in any of psychomotor development area. Keywords: Infants, institutionalized care system,...

Možnosti ovlivnění vybraných oblastí psychomotorického vývoje dítěte pomocí Neuro-vývojové terapie / Possibilities of influencing selected areas of children psychomotor development by neuro-developmental therapy

Volemanová, Marja Annemiek January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis is focused on the concept of the psychomotor development in context of remaining primary reflexes in children. The author draws on the knowledge of developmental psychology and neurophysiology that some of developmentally earlier stages must under optimal circumstances and maturation of a child disappear and be replaced by ontogenetically newer forms. Research confirms continuity of persistent primary reflexes, psychomotor development and learning and behavioral problems. The thesis aims to investigate whether inhibition of primary reflexes using Neuro-developmental therapy improves the condition of children with delayed psychomotor development, including their school grades. The author in the introductory chapters focusses on normal psychomotor development of children, in particular gross motor skills, fine motor skills, sensory skills, including proprioception and kinesthesia and their importance for learning ability in school age. The next part of the thesis is focused on particular primary reflexes and their impact on psychomotor development. The author pays special attention to the climbing stage in infancy which she considers as an important milestone in the optimal psychomotor development. Case studies shows, that skipping any developmental stage can be considered as a...

Výskyt přetrvávajících reflexů u dětí v předškolním a primárním vzdělávání / Appearance of persistint primary reflexes of children in preschool and primary education

Kindlová, Barbora January 2020 (has links)
The diploma thesis focuses on persistent primary reflexes in younger school age children, their connection with the correct psychomotor development and insight ainto the connection of specific learning and behavioral disorders with persistent primary reflexes. In the theoretical part, the author describes the psychomotor development of a child based on the findings of developmental psychology and neurophysiology. The next part characterizes the primary reflexes and their influence on specific learning disabilities. At the end of the theoretical part, the author presents programs that are used to inhibit persistent primary reflexes in the Czech republic. In the empirical part of the work, the author describes the diagnosis implementation of persistent primary reflexes in younger school age children via test forms. The author presents the results using tables and graphs. The author confirms the assumption of the occurence of the highest values of persistent primary reflexes in the preparátory class children and states the percentage occurence of persistent primary reflexes in all tested groups. KEYWORDS Persisting primary reflexes, psychomotor development, specific learning disabilities

Sledování imitační schopnosti orofaciální motoriky u dětí do šestého měsíce života jako součást globálního motorického vzoru / Observation of the imitation capability of the orofacial motor skill as a part of a global motor model with children in the first six months of their life

Blažková, Zuzana January 2015 (has links)
The aim of the diploma thesis was to observe the capability of imitation in orofacial area of three days old infants and analyze if the capability relates to quality of psychomotor development, thus whether it relates with a global motor model. This paper is a pilot study comprising seventeen infants. Each of them was supposed to attend four visits during the first six months of their life. It included visits in the first few days, between the fourth and the sixth week, the third month and the sixth month of their life. The psychomotor development was examined and within the first visit there was established communication with the child by means of eye contact and imitation. Each child's attempt at imitation and response was recorded. This thesis can serve as a basis for further research dealing with this topic that includes the imitation skill of mirror neurons related to psychomotor development.

Fetální alkoholový syndrom - vliv abúzu alkoholu v těhotenství na raný psychomotorický vývoj dítěte / Fetal Alcohol Syndrome - The Effect of Alcohol Abuse during Pregnancy on Early Psychomotor Development of the Child

Mrázová, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)
The thesis devotes to the negative effects of alcohol abuse during pregnancy on early psychical development of the child. It surveys the problematic fields of development of the children who were prenatally exposed to alcohol. The theoretical survey is accompanied by qualitative empirical part, which contains four case studies of children in the age of 6 - 72 weeks whose mothers were drinking alcohol during pregnancy. There are several problematic areas in the development of these children, for example growth deficit, retardation of the psychomotor development (especially in speech, gross motor skills and social behaviour), attachment disorders and eating disorders. These signs correspond to the scientific literature, but there are differences in the extent and frequency in the children Key words: alcohol, fetal alcohol syndrome, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, early psychomotor development

Možnosti diagnostiky motorických dovedností u dětí předškolního věku využitelné v pedagogické a zdravotnické praxi / Possibilities of Motor Skills Assessment at Preschool Children

Bačíková, Miroslava January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis introduces the options for motor skills assessment of preschool children in the pedagogical and health care setting. This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part, the author describes the psychomotor development of a child with a focus on the preschool period. The following chapter provides an overview of pedagogical and healthcare professions that mostly focus on the psychomotor development matters. The following chapters analyse the options for motor skills diagnostics in preschool children, including an overview of the most commonly used tests. In the practical part, a set of diagnostic tasks was created for the purpose of rough estimation of motor skills levels of preschool children. The suggested task set was then put to a clinical trial in five kindergartens in two cities in the Czech Republic. The practical part consists of a description of individual tasks in the task set, their evaluation, description of the used sample of children, administration of the task set and collection of data in accordance with stated ethical principles of research. There data is then presented, analysed and the resolving power of the task set is evaluated. The addendum of the practical part contains suggested modifications of the diagnostic...

Doplňky stravy ve výživě batolat s opožděným psychomotorickým vývojem podstupující léčebně lázeňský pobyt / Dietary supplements in nutrition of toddlers with delayed psychomotor development undergoing spa treatment

Šírová, Lucie January 2018 (has links)
The thesis aimed at finding out whether parents of toddlers with delayed psychomotor development undergoing curative spa stays administer food supplements, their reasons for administering them and what kinds and how often food supplements are administered. Eating habits of these children were looked into as well. Children with polio and central infantile hypotonic syndrome took part in the research. Quantitative research method using an anonymous questionnaire was employed for data collection. Altogether, there were 50 respondents. The results showed that 72 % (n=36) of parents already administered their children food supplements at such an early age. The most frequent motive for this was to strengthen the immune system. Vitamin supplements counted among the most frequently administered supplements in the sample. Furthermore, the research showed that not even the food composition of children in the sample was ideal. The results proved that it is highly desirable to pursue nutrition education of parents of children with neurological handicaps and chiefly also assure higher awareness of food supplements. Key words: dietary supplements, nutrition, toddler period, delayed psychomotor development, vitamins, cerebral palsy
