Udržování RhD polymorfismu v lidské populaci selekcí ve prospěch heterozygotů / Sustaining of RHD polymorphism in human population by selectin in favour of heterozygotes

Pokorný, Daniel January 2018 (has links)
RhD polymorphism is an evolutionary enigma since the very discovery. Theoretically, the RhD- allele carriers should be eliminated through the negative selection against RhD positive children born to RhD negative mothers. The aim of this diploma thesis was to find out whether RhD positive heterozygous genotype is associated with the reduction of latent toxoplasmosis negative effects or even associated with improved psychomotor performances, memory or higher self-confidence, intuition and cognitive performances scores. Second of all, the aim of this thesis was to find out if RhD negative homozygotes exhibit worsened performances in the abovementioned characteristics and, consequently, see whether RhD polymorphism origin and maintenance could be achieved through the heterozygote advantage. General linear models that included listed variables, RhD genotypes and phenotypes, information about toxoplasma-infection status and age as a covariate were performed. Heterozygote Advantage hypothesis was supported in operational memory models and in case of women also in psychomotor performances models. On the other hand, models of short-term memory, self-confidence, intuition and cognitive performances scores did not support the formulated hypothesis. Keywords RhD polymorphism, selection favouring heterozygotes,...

Vliv plavání na tělesný rozvoj dítěte v kojeneckém věku\\ / The influence of swim on bodily development of child at infantil age\\

MAŠKOVÁ, Lenka January 2007 (has links)
The work deals with questions of infant swimming and determines how this motion activity influences motion development of child. The theoretical part describes the history of infant swimming, child´s psychomotor development which is significant for this activity and the characteristics of the field of infant swimming. The experimental part follows with a clarification of both elementary methodics and initial examination of all participating children aged three months in accordance with Vojta´s method. Enclosed video recording shows next part of the experiment - swimming in tub and swimming in pool. After nine months all children were examined in accordance with Vojta´s method again. The comparison of the experimental and control groups is shown in charts processed with non-parametrical statistical method. Literature states that swimming helps remove various imperfections and abnormalities in body posture. This work determines whether it is true.\\

Rozvoj grafomotoriky u předškolních dětí s příznaky hyperaktivity / The graphomotoric progress related to pre-school children with symptoms of hyperactivity

ŠMÍDOVÁ, Kateřina January 2009 (has links)
Graphomotor skills are a set of motoric skills in the field of graphics. Their development is dependent on the overall level of psychomotor development, especially gross and fine motor skills. Hyperactivity means excessive compulsion to perform activities, excessive movements. This is why children with symptoms of hyperactivity are very frequently prone to occurrence of problems in some area of psychomotor skills. The aim of the thesis was to ascertain to what extent the level of graphomotor development influences postponement of school attendance and also how kindergartens handle development of fine and gross motor skills in these. Both aims were fulfilled. The theoretical section of the thesis deals with a detailed description of the problems, attempting to present a comprehensive overview of the topic. The research section is made up of integrated research. Qualitative research took place with the aid of controlled interviews with representatives of kindergartens. The interview was recorded in writing and subsequently analysed and elaborated into tables. The quantitative section of the research was base on gathering of data with the aid of questionnaires and subsequent analysis of the data. The results were elaborated into graphs. There were a total of two questionnaires, one for pedagogical workers and second for parents of children cited by teachers, both anonymous. Those questionnaires ascertained the level of gross and fine motor skills, graphomotor skills and any possible postponement (even considered) of school attendance. Two hypotheses were determined. The research confirmed both hypotheses. It was evident from the results of the research that deficiencies in the development of graphomotor skills in pre-school children are dependent on the development of gross motor skills and coordination and that hyperactive children show greater shortcomings in these areas. This is why development of psychomotor skills should be supported and developed in a targeted manner during pre-school years. This can help to prevent problems with graphomotor skills, especially in hyperactive children.

Bibliographic Identification Name and surname of the author: Mgr. Jan Jirovec Name of dissertation: The level of influence of motor proficiency on the performance in the nonverbal aspect of intelligence in younger school-age children (6 - 11 years): A longitudinal study. Workplace: Department of Kinanthropology and Humanities Supervisor of the work: doc. PhDr. Martin Musálek, Ph.D Year of presentation: 2021 Abstract Motor development in children is often linked to the development of cognitive or executive functions. Nevertheless, it still remains unclear how much the level of children's motor proficiency can impact the level of nonverbal intelligence, which is an important part of academic achievement of children. Objectives: The aim of the dissertation thesis is to determine the level of influence and its stability in time between the level of motor proficiency and the performance in the nonverbal aspect of intelligence in younger school-age children with age (categories: 6 - 7 years, 8 - 9 years and 10 -11 years) and sex being considered. Methods: The research sample consisted of 396 children (n=214 girls, n=182 boys) aged 6 - 11 years (age 8,9±1.3) from two elementary schools (Karlovy Vary Region, Prague). The children were divided into 3 groups by age: 6 - 7 years, 8 - 9 years, 10 - 11 years. The...

Zkušenosti lektorů Feldenkraisovy metody s využitím skupinových lekcí Pohybem k sebeuvědomění u dětí / Experiences of the Feldenkrais Method Practitioners with group lessons Awareness Through Movement for Children

Nejdlová, Eliška January 2017 (has links)
Title of the Thesis: Experiences of the Feldenkrais Method Practitioners with group lessons Awareness Through Movement for Children The Aim of the Thesis: The Aim of the Thesis is finding out possible uses of Feldenkrais Method (FM) - Awareness Through Movement (ATM) in group lessons for children. We will use theoretical sources and information gained by internationally certified practitioners who use FM lessons for children groups. Method: We will use theoretical qualitative research Phenomenological conception, which has descriptive-analytical character. We chose this research because it was the most suitable one. Its main goal is description and analysis of the experience gained in the specific area. (phenomenon, action, situation or process). We cooperated with internationally certified practitioners who have used FM lessons for children groups. The research was provided by the written interview with open questions. Gained information were analyzed by topic analysis and then evaluated from the view of different topics. Results: The Thesis was dealing with the phenomenon of group lessons of Feldenkrais method (FM) - Awareness Through Movement (ATM). The results showed that this method and its principles can be used for children with or without specific needs from the age of two or three. We...

Speciálně pedagogická intervence u dětí s vývojovou dysfázií v mateřské škole / Special Educational Intervention in Children with Specific Language Impairment in the Kindergarten

Vávrová, Miriam January 2015 (has links)
This Masters thesis focuses on issues of Specific Language Impairment - SLI of children of pre-school age. It monitors and evaluates development of their communication and motor skills during their time in kindergarten. The theoretical part focuses on defining basic terms which relate to communication and communication disorder with the emphasis on SLI. The psychomotor and communicational development of child from birth to entering school is described too. Also how this all affected creating the Framework Educational Programme for preschool education. The aim of the empirical part was to observe four children with SLI during their attendance at a pre-school for children with specific needs. Speech and psychomotor development of these children and its changes in connection to their teachers' intervention was observed. Part of the research included interviews with children's parents and those are also evaluated. The survey was done by the qualitative method. We get four case histories. At the end was evaluated the aims of the survey and answered questions asked and summarized the results of my investigation.
