Hájková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
in English Aim of the thesis: The aim of this diploma thesis is to define the term drill and depict its current use within the English lesson and also assess its role within the language school, where drill is used as a primary teaching technique. Drill is a technique which went through its greatest development when the Audiolingual method became widespread but gradually, throughout the time of the Communicative approach, it began to lose popularity. Drill has been defined in the theoretical section, where its forms have also been described. In addition, the use of drill in various different methods has been further elaborated on and the reasons that led to its downfall. Theoretical part: The aim here is to answer a number of questions: Why do teachers use drill? What are the drawbacks? What do learners prefer as an alternative? Why do some learners deliberately sign up for classes in language schools where drill is mainly used and what results and experience the language school has with drill? Postoj laiků k dárcovství orgánů / Public attitudes to organ donation

Urbanová, Markéta January 2018 (has links)
Organ transplantation is a method of treatment of damaged or missing organ by replacement by a new one that is removed from a donor. Donors may be not only living people but also dead people after cardiac arrest or people with brain death. The aim of the study was to assess the attitude of laymen to organ transplantation. The quantitative research used questionnaires which were distributed since 25th October - 31st December 2017 to non-medical adults older than 18 years living in the Czech Republic. The results demonstrated that the laymen have basic knowledge which organs and tissues can be used for transplantation in humans. Total 110 respondents answered that organs can be removed from people with diagnosed brain death. Knowledge of legislation was a surprise. Over one half of respondents knew about implied consent with organ removal after death and knew at least one possibility how to deny post-mortem organ harvesting. Generally, the public lacks interest in organ donation. People dislike registration unless necessary and dislike discussion concerning death which is a symbol of pain and suffering. Majority of public agree that there is need for more education in the field of organ transplantation and donation. They would prefer a specialised lecture or discussion with medical professionals....

Úbytek svalové hmoty - sarkopenie u seniorů / The decline in skeletal muscle mass - sarcopenia in seniors

KADEŘÁBKOVÁ, Hana January 2019 (has links)
As the age increases, the physical fitness of seniors decreases. This shows the fragility of their body. Managing everyday activities becomes increasingly more difficult for them. Result of this is reduced self-sufficiency of the seniors, which leads to reduced mobility and to the greater loss of muscle mass and higher dependence on professional care. Aging is accompanied by loss of muscle mass and muscle strength - sarcopenia. This is one of the main causes of geriatric fragility. Sarcopenia presents a serious health problem with both social and economic consequences. The term sarcopenia (from Greek words sarx - meaning flesh referring to muscle and penia - loss) was first used in 1989 by Irwin Rosenberg to describe the loss of muscle mass accompanying aging. Exactly defining the term sarcopenia has helped explain this gradual loss of muscle mass. Three objectives were set in the thesis. The first objective was to find out whether sarcopenia reduces the quality of life in the elderly. The second goal was to determine, which quality of life tests are suitable for testing sarcopenia and the last one was whether the SARC - F questionnaire predicts sarcopenia.Quantitative research was used for the empirical part of this work. Data collection was performed using a method of a questionnaire. These were standardized questionnaires aimed at assessing sarcopenia and quality of life. The research was carried out with a total of 77 respondents with sarcopenia and respondents without sarcopenia. The quantitative part of the research was statistically processed using the MS Excel computer program.

MASAŘ, Jaroslav January 2009 (has links)
The aim of this diploma work is pointed out of importace of motivation and stimulation of human source for final success of the institution. For my survey were choosen two institutions, which act on a market with services, but they are totally different, mainly in term of finance. Persons employed in services do not create any material goods, but sell the products of themselves, such as their knowledge etc. The first organization was a school and the second one was an insurance company. On the whole answered fourty-three persons, from that twenty at insurance company and twenty-three at school. In the first part of this diploma work I summarized theoretical infotmation about motivation and stimulation. Next capitol is concentred on institutions, on their introduction and their history. In methodology there is described questionnare method, which is used and operating sequence. Each answer was put down into the graph and the results and discussion follow after the graph. Such as the best motivation and stimulation for people is their income. Higher income motives most of workers in work and for their next education. People are the most important and unique source for each company therefore satisfaction of workes is so important. If the human sources are not motivated properly, the competitive advantage declines. Both companies should improve their motivation and stimulation program for their workers, not just in work, but for next education too.

Reasons identified included translation errors, problems in understanding the vocabulary and idiomatic language used, the use of the negative form and possible differences in the manifestation of constructs.
