Framtagning av en rörväxlaretill sopsugsystem

Larruy, Jakob, Eriksson, Tobias January 2012 (has links)
The main goal of this project was to develop some sort of a diverter for pipestransporting waste in a vacuum system. This unit was supposed to be both cheap andeasy to serve/exchange worn out parts. With a limited space to install the pipeexchanger, the challenge was to keep it as compact as possible without constructingbends with to small radius or to sharp angles as this would wear out the system a lotfaster than planned. The system was also supposed to be able to handle clothes andscrubs from hospitals. Having too much sharp edges or angles would tear the clothesapart. We were also limited to the building plan. The diverting unit had an inlet thatwas required to be aligned with a hole in the wall that was currently being molded tofollow the already thought out flow. The two outlets also had to align with the rest ofthe piping system, to make sure that the containers on the loading bay did notbecome offset from the original position. This would cause problems with the spacefor the trucks that retrieve them in the building. The result from this thesis is a solution that is adaptable for different situations, and indifferent scales. This is really beneficial as the company has two different sizedsystems and will be able to use the same module for all of their constructions. It doesnot matter whether the construction is mounted horizontally or vertically.Throughout the designing process there were aspects about costs, simplicity and lastbut not least function that was taken into account. There are a lot of things that isdependent of these three mayor aspects. As for design, a more esthetic design, makesit more costly to produce. And having unnecessary weight in the construction affectsboth the simplicity as in it gets harder to mount into place and serve, as well as anunnecessary cost. Keeping it simple was also required as we had to keep it compact.
