Crowd Avoidance in Public Transportation using Automatic Passenger Counter

Mozart Andraws, David, Thornemo Larsson, Marcus January 2021 (has links)
Automatic Passenger Counting (APC) systems are some of the many Internet-Of-Things (IoT) applications and have been increasingly adopted by public transportation companies in recent years. APCs provide valuable data that can be used to give an real time passenger count, which can be a convenient service and allow customers to plan their travels accordingly. The provided data is also valuable for resource streamlining and planning, which potentially increases revenues for the public transportation companies. This thesis briefly studies and evaluates different APC technologies, highlights the advantages and disadvantages of these, and presents an Edge-prototype based on Computer Vision and Object Detection. The presented APC was tested in a lab environment and with recordings of people walking in and out of a designated area in the lab. Test results from the lab environment show that the presented low-cost APC efficiently detects passengers with an accuracy of 98.6% on pre-recorded videos. The APC was also tested in real time and the results show that the low-cost APC only achieved an accuracy of 66.7%. This work has laid the ground for further development and testing in a public transport environment.

Aplikace počítače v ultralehkém letadle/vrtulníku pro tarifikaci letů / Applications of Computers in Ultramicro Aircraft/Helicopter for Tarification of Flights

Špaček, Jakub January 2017 (has links)
This thesis deals with design, development and testing of device for collecting fly data in ultralight airplane or helicopter. The basic collected value is a count of fly hours of each pilot. Additional fly data are latitude, longitude and altitude. Purpose of this device is a fair pricing for use of the airplane. Another utilization is in analysis of flight path or in pilot training. This device is succesfully made from miniature computer Raspberry Pi and uses GPS data. A reader will be informed about aviation regulations, embedded systems, global positioning system and wireless internet connection.

Internet věcí v praxi / The Internet of Things in Practice

Bajgl, Vojtěch January 2018 (has links)
The subject of this diploma thesis, is the Internet of Things, and its use in applied practice, with a subsequent design of a custom system of smart home automatization. It acquaints the reader with the issues of automated home and smart systems, including a basic familiarization of regulations as declared by law about electronic devices. The attributes of miniature computer platforms, developmental boards, and wireless modules for the design of custom systems are analyzed and compared. The biggest part of the thesis is dedicated to a design of a custom system, specifically designing the central processing module and other controlling modules for controlling various electric home appliances. The main controlling unit of the system is a Raspberry Pi 2B unit, with which it is possible to control a device in a household through an user-friendly web application.

Servisního modulu pro automatickou sanitární techniku / Service device for automatic sanitary equipment

Kudláček, Martin January 2018 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to inform readers about the basic principle of electronics for which the service module for the automatic sanitary technique will be designed, as well as design and describe the most important parts of the module theoretically. Likewise, the thesis deals with the most common mistakes in the design of printed circuits boards with respect to the resistance of the resulting device against interference. The implementation itself includes both module design and a communication algorithm for connecting multiple service modules and their remote control using the Raspberry Pi minicomputer. The thesis also contains a design of algorithm for verification of data transmission by the transmission system.

Vzdálená správa výtahu / Remote Lift Management

Weisser, Filip January 2018 (has links)
The goal of this master thesis was create suitable and easy to use software, which can help workers with maintaining of elevator. For this purpose it was necessary to study communication interface and protocol of control unit borrowed from the company Výťahy ZEVA s. r. o. There was necessary to find suitable device for communication between control unit and server. Server is used for store and visualize actual data of elevator system. Server can set the parameters of the elevator remotely and demand actual configuration of elevator. User can watch historical data from server. The users use server after authentication with different competency. Users with an appropriate competency can set the notifications in the system, which can warn their in case of problem with elevator and reduce the reaction time and time to resolution of the problem.

Zařízení varovného systému pro udržení vozidla v jízdním pruhu / Warning system to keep the vehicle in the lane

Fendrich, Vítězslav January 2019 (has links)
This thesis adresses designing a device that detects lane departure of a vehicle via a video feed from a camera module. This device is intended to be attached onto the windshield of the vehicle. The initial part of the thesis will cover the current methods of lane departure detection through a video feed. In the following part the selection of suitable hardware, specifically the latest model of a Raspberry Pi, has been made. Afterwards a suitable container for the aforementioned hardware has been designed and created using a 3D printer. Subsequently an appropriate LDWS algorithm is chosen and designed. In the next part, the range and parameters of a testing database through which the proper functionality of the device will be tested on are chosen. The final part of the thesis contains evaluation of the success rate of detection via the acquired database.

Elektronická informační tabule LCD / Electronic notice board LCD

Bureš, Michal January 2019 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the research of existing solutions of electronic information systems. The purpose of this survey is to inspire what is offered to users of these professional systems, or what users expect from these systems. Based on the acquired knowledge, the thesis also deals with the design of its own system, which can serve as another alternative to professional solutions of companies on the market, in the sense of the concept of solution of the given task. After the design of the system, the thesis deals chronologically with the selected "tools" used for the actual implementation of the assigned task Electronic Information Boards. Both hardware and software parts of the task, which form the majority of this thesis. At the end of the work are presented practical results.
