Vzorce a procesy prostorové distribuce rostlinných druhů napříč škálami / Patterns and processes in spatial distribution of plant species across scales

Macek, Martin January 2020 (has links)
In this thesis, I aimed to identify factors shaping plant distribution at different spatial scales, correlate them with environmental heterogeneity, identify causal processes and test general hypothesis on the nature of response curve shapes and species richness patterns. General review of the topic is introduced in the first chapter, followed by five chapters presenting three already published studies and two manuscripts. The first study deals with processes responsible for creation of fine-scaled spatial pattern of spruce seedlings and saplings, emerging after bark-beetle disturbance in mountain spruce forest. Aggregated pattern, replicating previous generation of spruce trees, emerges in consequence to microsite-dependent mortality, as was surveyed through repeated monitoring of the fate of individual seedlings. The second study explores spatial variability in forest understory temperatures at the landscape scale and its relevance for understory plant distribution. As the main source of variability in understory communities we identified seasonal maximum temperatures. Using GIS modelling approach, we created spatially continuous prediction, which outperformed state-of-art climatic grids used currently by ecologists. The third study on the shape of species responses along elevational gradients...

Návrh koncepce tepelné elektrárny

Zbořil, David January 2020 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of a thermal scheme of steam power plant. The introductory part of the thesis is dedicated to theory about thermal power plants, especially those with supercritical steam parameters. In the following parts, there is a design of the thermal scheme of the coal burning power plant. First separate parts, then all interconnected. The last chapter deals with energy and media balance involved in the process.

Výměník tepla pro záchranný habitat / Heat exchanger for rescue habitat

Bouma, Adam January 2013 (has links)
This thesis deals with the specific issues of designing a suitable type of heat exchanger for ventilation in a rescue habitat. The paper presents an overview of the most common types of heat exchangers and characterizes basic heat transfer mechanisms (radiation, convection). Based on the above and other knowledge, a thermal-hydraulic calculation model suitable for a regenerative heat exchanger type is compiled and the necessary calculations are performed. The thesis also contains an evaluation of the results for three materials which can be used in the production of a heat exchanger (aluminum, copper, steel).

Experimentální podpora vývoje specifického integrovaného zařízení / Experimental support for the development of specific integrated equipment

Hrbáček, Jiří January 2021 (has links)
Regenerative heat exchangers are used in a wide range of industries and in the technical equipment of buildings. These heat exchangers play an important role in saving thermal energy and removing volatile organic compounds from flue gases. The theoretical part of the work deals with the division of regenerative exchangers into rotary and switching exchangers and the possibilities of their use. These types of heat exchangers are used in many applications, e.g. as a heat exchanger using waste heat to preheat the process gas (regeneration layer), or as catalysts to accelerate the reaction required to remove volatile organic compounds (catalytic layer), or as integrated equipment where both the regeneration layer and the catalytic layer. The aim of the diploma thesis is experimental support in the development of a computer program for the design of a specific integrated device. The program allows the calculation of the regeneration and catalytic bed, or both beds simultaneously, i.e. integrated equipment. The diploma thesis deals with the support of a mathematical model for the calculation of the regeneration bed. Pressure loss and heat transfer play an important role in the selection and subsequent calculation of a suitable bed. To calculate them, it is possible to find more available computational relationships that differ significantly in their accuracy. It is therefore necessary to select the most suitable ones for the computational model. The practical part of the work then deals with research, analysis, and assessment of the suitability of methods used to calculate pressure losses based on a comparison with the values measured on experimental equipment. Subsequently, the work deals with computational methods for determining the heat transfer coefficient of the packed bed. A significant part of the practical part deals with the modification of the experimental equipment for the verification of computational relations for the determination of heat transfer with measured data.

Environmentálně-psychologická východiska výchovy v přírodě / The Basis of Environmental Psychology for Outdoor Education (The Influence of Nature on Mental and Social Well-Being)

VRBOVÁ, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
The work deals with theoretical research of basis of Environmental Psychology for Outdoor Education. It answers two questions ? why in the conceptions of Outdoor Education is nature the preferred environment and what are the benefits of nature for physical, mental and social health. The answers to theses questions are in the work described through theories of environmental preference and restorative effects of nature. There are three major sections of the work. The first part discusses the basis, principles and contents of Environmental Psychology and Outdoor Education, the core terminology of the work, and the nodal points of Environmental Psyhcology and the theory of Outdoor Education. Second part describes those theories and concepts of Environmental Psychology which are related to the primary and subsidiary research questions. The third part evaluates the impacts and relevance of environmental-psychological knowledge on concepts of Outdoor Education.

Kondenzační parní turbina / Condensing Steam Turbine

Kracík, Petr January 2011 (has links)
Diploma thesis named Condensing steam turbine deals with heat scheme balancing computation of condensing steam turbine K55 and her design. This turbine with 5 unregulated take-offs and overpressure blading type, is computed with (c_a/u) method in the middle of blading diameter. Regulation degree is chosen with impulse blading and feet cross section is checked on durability. At the end of the thesis turbine consumption characteristic is derived from the zero output up to the nominal output. Integrated part of this thesis is conceptional design of longitudal turbine section.

Studium radiačního poškození nádoby reaktoru VVER-440 jaderné elektrárny Dukovany / Radiation damage of VVER-440 based Dukovany NPP reactor pressure vessel investigation

Říha, Tomáš January 2011 (has links)
This master‘s thesis deals with radiation damage of reactor pressure vessels, specifically of NPP Dukovany Unit No. 3. In general damage mechanisms of reactor steels are described and possibilities of monitoring of material degradation and its recovery used at NPP’s all over the world are mentioned as well. A practical part of the thesis is focused on interpretation of analyses carried out with the assistance of MOBY DICK code. The ground of these analyses is a neutron fluence value development on different locations of RPV for the whole life of operation up to 24th cycle. The analyses results are put into context with performed in-service inspections. The thesis follows up with neutron fluence computation for the future cycles containing new types of nuclear fuel up to 34th cycle. The outcome of practical part of the master‘s thesis is a comparison between new types of nuclear fuel with respect to radiation damage of RPV’s.

Parní turbína pro fosilní elektrárnu / Steam Turbine for fossil power plant

Třináctý, Jiří January 2015 (has links)
This thesis deals with design is condensing steam turbines burning fossil fuels with nominal capacity of the generator of 250 MW with steam reheating and regenerative eight uncontrolled extraction points. The turbine consists of two bodies: a combined high-intermediate pressure section and low pressure parts with dual way outlet down into the water-cooled condenser. Work includes calculating thermal scheme for 100% and 75% capacity, specific heat consumption calculation and design of the flow HP-MP body. Further strength control and basic engineering design of high-medium- work completed by longitudinal section. Achievements are at the end of work compared with work 3a and the conclusion summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the concept.
