Efficacy of post-isometric relaxation technique on muscle tissue and its viscoelastic properties after physical activity / Efficacy of post-isometric relaxation technique on muscle tissue and its viscoelastic properties after physical activity

Hloušková, Zuzana January 2012 (has links)
Title: Efficacy of post - isometric relaxation technique on muscle tissue and its viscoelastic properties after physical activity. Objective: This study is a pilot analytical and comparative study. The first aim of this thesis was evaluation of the effect of post-isometric relaxation technique on properties of muscle tissue after physical activity. The second aim of this thesis is to present a literature review regarding this topic using literature available. Methods: This study took place in the laboratory of kinesiology at UK FTVS. Six participants were measured prior to Wingate test, after Wingate test and after post- isometric relaxation or rest. Experimental lower extremity was applied post-isometric relaxation technique and the control lower extremity was not. Muscle tonus of the soleus muscle was measured with myotonometric device developed by Šifta. The final data were processed in the special software in Matlab and the obtained hysteresis curves were used for results analysis. Results: This study had three hypotheses and none of them was confirmed during the measuremets. The first hypothesis pressumed that muscle tonus will increase after the Wingate test, but it was not confirmed and thus further measurements were strongly influenced in the sense that post-isometric relaxation was not...

Dynamické chování matrixových proteinů Mason-Pfizerova opičího viru / Dynamical Behaviour of Matrix Proteins from Mason-Pfizer Monkey Virus

Srb, Pavel January 2011 (has links)
Title: Dynamical behaviour of matrix proteins from Mason-Pfizer Monkey Virus Author: Pavel Srb Department: Department of Low temperature physics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Lang, PhD. Abstract: We studied the oligomeric properties of betaretroviral nonmyristoylated ma- trix protein (MA) and its R55F mutant from the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus in solution by means of NMR spectroscopy. We have proven that the wild- type (WT) MA forms oligomers in solution. The final model of oligomeriza- tion of the WT MA was derived by concerted use of chemical shift mapping and diffusion-ordered spectroscopy measured on a set of protein samples with varying concentrations. We found that the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus WT MA exists in a monomer-dimer-trimer equilibrium in solution. Further a combination of NMR relaxation measurements and advanced analysis of molecular dynamics simulation trajectory provided an unprecedentedly de- tailed insight into internal mobility of matrix proteins of the Mason-Pfizer monkey virus. Strong evidence have been obtained that the oligomerization capacity of the wild-type matrix protein is closely related to the enhanced dynamics of several parts of its backbone on a nanosecond time scale. In- creased flexibility has been observed for two regions: the loop between he- lices α2 and α3 and the C-terminal...

Excitace v magnetitu ve slabých polích / Low-field excitations in magnetite

Švindrych, Zdeněk January 2013 (has links)
We have performed detailed measurements of magnetic and dielectric properties of high quality magnetite (Fe3O4) single crystals in weak magnetic and electric fields. These measurements can reveal details of phase transitions and other features that are not yet fully understood. We focused not only at the Verwey transition - a well known phase transition taking place at about 120 K in stoichiometric samples - but we also explored and described new relaxation effects in magnetite at low temperatures. The low-temperature properties were also found to be exceptionally sensitive to sample quality, stoichiometry and homogeneity. The results presented in this thesis were acquired on sensitive non-commercial SQUID magnetometer complemented by four-probe dielectric spectroscopy and dc conductivity measurements.

Analýza a projekce výchovy ke zdraví ve sportovním tréninku hokejistů. / Analysis and Projection of Health Education in Sports Training of Ice Hockey Players.

ČERNÝ, Kamil January 2013 (has links)
This thesis examines the impact of psycho-training based on yoga techniques in sports training of young ice hockey players. The psycho-training was aimed to develop the attention, the concentration, to improve self-confidence and psychical resilience and finally to master relaxation techniques. The intervention program of psycho-training "Intensity" (ČERNÝ, KREJČÍ, 2012) was realized within a one week season training camp. The study group consisted of 12 hockey players of ice hockey club Tabor. All volunteered players who intended to this intervention were approximately 16 years old. The participants passed through the psychological input tests before the start of study program. Psycho-training consisted of 7 sessions, each lasting 80 minutes. The education took place before training on the ice during the morning. After completion of the intervention program the participants passed through the output psychological tests. The acquired data were compared and statistically validated. The results confirmed the hypothesis. Psycho-training program "Intensity" was recommended for education of coaches of young players youth with applications in-season training camp.

Relaxace v mechanice kontinua tuhé fáze / Relaxace v mechanice kontinua tuhé fáze

Pathó, Gabriel January 2010 (has links)
This work deals with the modelling of shape-memory alloys, in particular with the steady-state model of martensitic thin films. After the introductory motivation the crystallographic structure of the materials is described followed by the introduction of the link between the lattice and continuum model. The next parts of the work focus on the possible solutions of the given 3D variational problem (quasiconvexification, Young measures) and on derivation of thin film theories with the aid of different tools (regularization,-convergence). The last part takes over an approximation of an obtained model and sketches numerical experiments on a Ni-Mn-Ga alloy.

Posouzení účinnosti pravidelného 12týdenního domácího cvičení na zlepšení mobility v nouzovém stavu / A Recognition of the efficiency of a 12 Weeks Long Regular Home Exercise on Mobility in The Covid Emergency State

Konvář, Jan January 2021 (has links)
The topic of this work is to qualify an efficiency of regular exercise on thoracic spine, hip joint and ankle improvement. There was a qualitative research used for achieving the main goal (by using questionaries and tests, created by myself, to test the mobility of these selected body segments. A positive influence of this regular exercise on mobility was found out in this resrearch, although bigger differences have been expected in individual segments. A possitive impact on mental health was also shown, as was on physical health. Some health issues, which have apeared in the beginnig of this exercise, also dissapeared after a completion of this program.
