Energi och uppvärmning i Sverige : Vilket uppvärmningssystem är lämpligast för Hotell Höga Kusten?Lundberg, Arvid January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this study is to explain the concept of energy and heating of buildings in Sweden and how it is affected by the energy politics. It further aims to compare some of the common heating systems in aspects of environment, economy and user friendliness and finally to find the most suitable alternative for the hotel and conference facility Hotel Höga Kusten. The world’s dependent of energy is growing but our sources of energy all leads to some kind of negative environmental impact. Heating of buildings and water is a big part of Sweden’s energy consumption and therefore it is important to make the buildings energy efficient and choose effective heating systems. Energy efficiencies can be done through changing behaviors of the users but also by new technology, equipment, components and so forth. Each building has its own unique conditions and depending on how the owner values the different aspects of a heating system it’s complicated to state the best option. Today, Hotel Höga Kusten uses electricity for heating, which is expensive and not so environmental friendly. Therefore, alternative options are evaluated. The conclusion from this study is that the most environmental friendly heating for the hotel is through biofuel combined with solar panels. Heat pumps are user-friendly and easier to install but there still will be a dependence of electricity left. All other kind of options than the current electrical heating requires installation of a waterborne distribution system which will constitute to a big part of the economic investment.
