The diploma thesis is focused on financing of construction of a house. It defines and analyzes the financial products and their mutual combinations, particularly mortgage loans and building savings. It deals with their comparison with aim to find the optimal alternative of financing of the model situation. This thesis should allow orientation in housing market for anyone interested in building a house.

The diploma thesis is focused on the price of a family house in the village of Kosov and its dependence on the Energy Performance Certificate of this house. The price of the family house, given its current condition, is determined in accordance with applicable regulations and taking into account the energy demands, the property facilities and the technical wear of the property. Then a measure reducing the building energy performance and thus financial demands regarding heating and operation of the house is proposed. The result of the thesis is the evaluation of the price of the property depending on the implemented measures and the new technical condition of the family house.

Fertility postponement in the Czech republic and selected European countries in the period 1990−2015 Abstract We have been able to observe the trend of shifting of maternity to later periods of life in European countries since the second half of the 20th century. However crucial for this thesis is to determine whether there have been disparity in delaying of maternity between selected Eastern European (Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland) and Western European (Germany and Austria) countries since 1990 till present. The goal of this work is to find the relationship among setting of family policies, fertility rate of older women and respondents' views. In the first part of this thesis are outlined basic theories explaining postponing of maternity. There are also listed consequences related to the late maternity. The thesis touches a topic of family policies which influence the phenomenon of late maternity. It presents several fundamental tools of family policies and compares them among selected countries. The second part focuses on a description of demographic indicators that demonstrate the shift in timing of maternity. Gaining independence of clients in the system of the alternative education care is the cardinal topic of the work. Within the framework of the international comparison, the author analyses and makes a survey of the problems accompanying this process. The work does not contain only the conclusions the author came to based on the research in chosen countries (Czech Republic and Poland) but also presents suitable recommendations how the problem of gaining independence of clients of the alternative education care can be solved. The introductory part is applied to theoretical solutions, the international comparisons and examples of a good practice abroad. The author follows opinions of different experts in causalities of the problem from the influence of the biological family through socialization of the clients of the education care to the very problems of the institutional care. He presents these opinions subsequently in the context. In the methodological and research parts the author tries to answer the cardinal question: "What is way the clients of the alternative education care are prepared in order to gain independence?" The thesis addresses subject of innovative projects of NGOs in the field of parental support to return to the labour market after maternity leave. The main purpose of the thesis is to deliver a report about the role of the NGO in the process of implementation of innovative projects by using case studies. The objective of the thesis is to identify outcomes and level of innovation of these projects on the basis of testimonies of active participants. The theoretical part of the thesis describes NGOs and their basic functions, definition of innovation, and definition of social innovation. Another part of the thesis discusses issues related to the return to the labour market after maternity leave, family politics in the Czech Republic, and its support in the form of the Structural Funds of the European Union. Main findings of the research is that NGOs in the Czech Republic have mainly linking function between individuals and corporations. Networking enables mutual exchange of information and experience. It is a highly important contribution of these projects. The aim of this thesis is to analyse how the concept of work-life balance (and reconciliation policies in general) is constructed and defined at the European Union level. In order to analyse these often implicit definitions, the European Commission's working documents from 1995 to 2016 are gathered and subjected to category and content analysis. Reconciliation policies and work-life balance are stable concepts, occurring in 152 documents over the studied 22 years period. Annual Reports on gender equality and documents connected to the European Employment Strategy are specifically analysed. Even though the "reconciliation policies are part of equality policies" argumentation is often stressed, the expressed goals are usually connected to the goals of employment policies and economic policies, with economic growth being behind this argumentation. The most represented policy areas are leave policies, mainly parental leave, and services for childcare and other dependants, usually connected to the same goal - bringing more women into the labour market.

This thesis is dedicated to women who were called "the super women" during the communist era. Their mission was to combine their profession with taking care of their children alongside of being a housewife. Even though the traditional model of the men supporting the whole family changed to more democratic model with the both man and woman supporting the family, the housekeeping and taking care of children still stayed the wive's responsibility. In the period of communism, women were "double burdened". They dedicated their lives for their families and the free time they had, which was less then what men had, mostly corresponded with the interests of children and the whole family. In this thesis I focus on how these women live nowadays. They have already retired and after losing their partner they now live alone. I also focus on how they deal with this different life situation and changes in their social roles. I work with the theoretical approaches of emancipated femininity and active aging as a way to cope with changes in social status. I chose the qualitative approach as a research method. It is implemented in this diploma thesis by analyzing thorough interviews with widowed seniors.

The thesis deals with the harmonization of family and work roles of workers without the possibility of working from home during the so-called first wave of the coronavirus crisis in 2020. The goal of this thesis is to describe the harmonization possibilities of family and the work roles in the Czech Republic. Another goal of this thesis is to find out what circumstances influenced the parents without the possibility of working from home to stay at work during the COVID-19 pandemic. Last but not least, the goal was set to map the harmonization of the family and of the work roles of the parents without the possibility of working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Czech Republic. The theoretical basis of the thesis is the concept of family-work conflict in conjunction with the concept of work-life balance. Diploma thesis "Analysis of Dům tří přání clients and their family background" presents the current system of care for children at risk in the historical development of children`s rights protection, social-legal protection of children; actual concept of particular departments, state administration, and non-government sector. The social-legal protection of children in the Czech Republic is segmental and is not enough to guarantee children`s rights to live in their biological families in case of support shortage. The forthcoming transformation and unification of the system of care for children is a great appeal for improving the cooperative work of all concerned in this field. One of the important element of the system, acting as a part of prevention of putting children into the institutions with constitutional education, is the civil association "Dům tří přání" which is authorized in providing the social-legal protection of children, and devices for children requiring immediate help. With the help of analysis of family background of children who are the clients of "Dům tří přání", and processing of selected statistical data, the given diploma thesis specifies some functional methods of working with children at risk and their families, directed to the safe family background and child`s development in the family.

Diploma thesis "Civil Society Organizations supporting employment of parents in Prague and Central Bohemian Region (2010 - 2012)" deals with the mapping of supply of civil society organizations in the area of Prague and Central Bohemia in the years 2010 - 2012, which aim to promote employment of parents. In the empirical research are included programs of personal and professional development of clients, help with their orientation in the labour market, advice on a finding new work (including setting up own business) and programs that are focused on working with employers and reconciling family and working life. In view of the fact that these organizations offers, of course, to some extent dependent on the characteristics of the Czech Republic, family and employment policies of the state and the European Union, the thesis contains also a summary of key facts that are related to this area. In conclusion, this thesis contains not only an analysis of research outputs, but as well as a draft recommendations, which could lead to improvement of the situation.
