The content of this thesis is consistent and complex rework the existing prototype of the seating rest element created at the object Furniture Design Studio II at the follow-up study. The output is a new realization of the remaked prototype. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part maps the issue of sitting - from historical, ergonomic views and used materials and technologies, too. In this thesis is also included an overview of sources of inspiration for the initial creation. Practical part includes the first sketches, 3D visualizations,the real photos from production, a brief technical documentation and description of the first and the second prototype production, too. Also there are some other variants of this rest chair. At the end of this work dit there is the chapter called Marketing are describes the possibilities of further variable product processing, approach for determinating price of the product at the rest furniture market, its distribution and marketing communication.

Maing goal of this thesis is design of seating furniture followed by manufacturing. Thesis consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. Theoretical part describes history and ergonomics of sitting. Further describes benefits of different types of materials. Second part of this thesis describes particular phases of design proces. Sketches, technical documentation and vizualizations are presented here. Final task of this work is to create functional protoype.

In this final thesis which is focused on contemporary upholstering technology, the proposal for the production of upholstered chair with extended seating area is presented. In the theoretical part, the author describes the historical development of long chairs, ergonomics of a sitting in a long chair and technology of upholstering. Subsequently, the study presents background research of contemporary long chairs and custom solution of long chair. The solution includes technical drawings and descriptions of the supporting skeleton of a long chair and upholstery compositions drawings and description. At the end, the solution is evaluated.

The aim of this thesis was to design light rest chair for use in private interior. At first it was necessary to study the theory. The first part of the thesis is focused on the theory of sitting and the history of sitting furniture at short. Continuels to deal with the typology of sitting furniture and upholstered seating furniture, ergonomics, and proper dimensions. A considerable part is dedicated to ulpholstery technology and contemporary materials. This master thesis deals with the study and design of upholstered seating for interior use. It consists of two parts. The theoretical part covers the history of seating, typology, anthropometry and ergonomy. Furthermore, it describes the requirements for the construction of furniture, creation of upholstery and for safety. The practical part of this work describes the design process inspired by natural structures and the construction of a prototype. First, my research on existing pieces of furniture inspired by nature is presented. This is followed by an introduction to my design in the form of sketches and visualizations. Next, the selection of a manufacturer for the creation of a prototype is described. The final product is presented with photographs of the prototype. Finally, participation and results from competitions are presented.

The aim of this dissertation was to prepare a literery overview of the material broadly used for the wooden constructions and their consecutive experimental trials focused to strength and module of elasticity in bending at strictly selected large oriented strandbo-ards, quality strandboards and chipboards at different levels of moisture. The next phase of the dissertation was to prepare a statistics evaluation of gained data and results during the evaluation period which are outlined at different forms including tables and statistics charts.

The main contents of the diploma thesis is the design of sitting furniture with a focus on dynamic sitting. Dynamics sitting is achieved here by possibility to tilt forward the sitting element. The work is divided into two main parts. The first deals with the theory, especially with the sitting issue, ergonomics, alternative sitting, safety, history of sitting furniture and the review of used materials. The second part is focused on the design, consisting of research and each stage of design. That means sketching, 3D modeling, production of a working model and prototyping. The result is a design of sitting furniture, allowing dynamic sitting.

The goal of this thesis is design od seating element. To reach this goal is necessary to have knowledge but also creativity. The teoretical part analyze theory of sitting, ergonomics, anthropometry, materials and technology, design icons and current situation on the Czech market. Master thesis about seating furniture is divided into two parts . The theoretical part includes topics such as ergonomics and standards. Introduction is explaining the terms and ideas with which the whole work is dealt with. The theoretical part includes a chapter in which is explained and shown the inspiration. During the creating process I also focused on the psychology of products in general and its application to a specific product. In this chapter I devote more material on how to use information that I collected to meet predetermined specifications. The practical part contains sketches, selection of materials, visualisations. It also contains technological process of creating a prototype. Master thesis ends with general evaluation and discussion.
