Magnetická separace / Magnetic separation

Balatý, Tomáš January 2016 (has links)
The aim of the thesis was to gather information about magnetism, magnets and principles used in magnetic separation. The key point of this thesis was to assess the efficacy of an experimental magnetic separation operation. The first chapter is devoted to the introduction, which is a brief description of the problems of magnetic separation. The second chapter describes the current state of the problem, which explains the basic definitions and phenomena arising from the use of permanent magnets or electromagnets. Furthermore, this chapter describes in detail the magnetic separation. The third chapter is devoted to the work goals and methods of processing. The fourth chapter describes an experiment that was conducted to determine the effectiveness of a magnetic separator during the trial operation of transport technology to transport clinker. The last chapter is devoted to conclusions and contribution of this thesis.

Charakterizace nových chirálních separačních systémů pro použití v HPLC / Characterization of new chiral separation systems for HPLC

Vozka, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
The dissertation thesis is focused on the physico-chemical characterization of interaction mechanisms of chiral stationary phases based on derivatized cyclofructans. Correct interpretation of retention and enantiodiscrimination processes substantially facilitates the development and optimization of new enantioselective methods using cyclofructan-based chiral stationary phases. At first, the interaction mechanisms of three commercially available cyclofructan-based stationary phases were studied in normal-phase mode of liquid chromatography. Namely, systems using chiral stationary phases based on dimethylphenyl carbamate cyclofructan 7, R-naphtylethyl carbamate cyclofructan 6 and isopropyl carbamate cyclofructan 6 were studied. Linear free energy relationship model was used as a basic tool for characterization of interactions on the stationary phases. The mentioned model revealed that the main interactions contributing to retention in cyclofructan-based systems are hydrogen bond acidity and dipolarity/polarizibility, while dispersion interactions cause decrease of retention. The impact of oligosaccharide skeleton of the cyclofructan selector on the enantioselectivity was elucidated by the comparison with seemingly analogous cyclodextrin-based chiral stationary phases. Cyclofructan-based chiral...

Optimalizace chromatografických podmínek pro chirální separaci biologicky aktivních látek. / Optimization of chromatographic parameters for chiral separation of biologically active compounds

Novák, Martin January 2018 (has links)
Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of: Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis Student: Bc. Martin Novák Supervisor: doc. PharmDr. Radim Kučera, Ph.D. Consultant: Mgr. et Mgr. Rafael Doležal, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Optimization of chromatographic parameters for chiral separation of biologically active compounds. The diploma thesis was focused on the development of a HPLC-UV method for the determination of K 1277 enantiomers of systematic name N-(2-((6-chloro-1,2,3,4-tetra- hydroacridin-9-yl)amino)hexyl-2-amino-3-(1H-indole-3-yl) propylamide dihydrochloride, which is one of the compounds from the tacrine-tryptophan hybrids group. These tacrine-tryptophan hybrids could be considered as promising candidates of potential drugs against Alzheimer's disease. The thesis brings an explanation of basic characteristic of chiral molecules, principles of chiral separation, pathophysiology, clinical manifestation and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and short characteristic of tacrine-tryptophan hybrids in the theoretical section. The aim of my diploma thesis was to find the optimal chromatographic conditions for separation of K 1277 enantiomers synthesized from tacrine and tryptophan fragments. The experimental part deals with the development of the chiral...

Charakterizace separačních systémů pro dělení enantiomerů / Characterization of separation systems for determination of enantiomers

Geryk, Radim January 2016 (has links)
(EN) The dissertation thesis is focused on the research and characterization of retention and enantiorecognition mechanisms of chiral stationary phases based on derivatized polysaccharides. The separation systems with a variety of modern stationary phases (both achiral and chiral) were characterized in detail to provide a comprehensive view of the interactions participating in the separation process. The study of the retention/separation behavior significantly facilitates the development and the optimization of new enantioselective methods for a wide variety of compounds. The work deals with the comparison of enantioselective performance of polysaccharide-based chiral stationary phases. The objectives are to show the differences of separation behavior among these chiral stationary phases, as they differ by the nature of the polysaccharide backbone (amylose versus cellulose), by binding of chiral polymer to silica support (coated versus immobilized stationary phase) and by the phenyl moiety in the reversed and normal phase HPLC. In both separation modes amylose-based chiral stationary phases exhibited higher enantioselectivity, especially for acidic and bifunctional analytes. Chiral stationary phases based on derivatized cellulose showed higher enantiodiscrimination potential for basic analytes....

Použití scruberů při čištění vzduchu / Air contaminants separation process

Krištof, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
The Diploma thesis is focused on the separation of gaseous pollutants from contaminated mixtures of gases into liquids using absorbent device. The theoretical part is mainly concerned with describing the absorption process, the method expression and the factors influencing the rate of transfer of contaminants between phases. The experimental part deals with the dependence of transfer of carbon dioxide contained in an air mixture into an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide on the process conditions of separation in pilot scrubber.

Uzavřené rezidenční areály a rezidenční separace v Praze / Gated communities and residential separation in Prague

Brabec, Tomáš January 2014 (has links)
The thesis focuses on gated communities (GCs) as an example of residential separation in today's Prague. The GCs are a new specific phenomenon characterising the society in present post-industrial cities. It is a type of residence where high social status population concentrates behind walls and fences. The number of GCs grows more or less globally which results in increased experts' interest in GCs. This type of residence occurs also in Czechia, primarily in Prague. Experts' interest in the subject in our environment is, however, not as high as in other post-communist countries. This thesis follows up with previous studies and assesses in detail if - in context of the post-industrial transformation - the high social status population is separated in Prague GCs and why such type of residence appears. The document also partly focuses on the development and situation of residential separation and the consequences of GCs formation. It is based on several quantitative (data analysis, questionnaire survey) and qualitative (interviews) research methods. It turns up that on one hand the level of residential segregation and separation in Prague decreases, on the other hand we can see that the number of specific separated locations such as the GCs where the high social status population concentrates grows....

Separace odtoku na datech z povodí Jenínského toku za použití různých metod / Separation of runoff based on data from Jenínský stream catchment area using various methods

KUBEŠ, Ondřej January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this paper is to describe and compare various methods of runoff separation. Therefore it is necessary to explain basic hydrological terms that are important for understanding the water regime of landscape. Long-term monitoring of the water regime of the whole catchment area can provide successful detection of hydrological extremes such as droughts or devastating floods. The paper is divided in two parts. The theoretical part includes the literature rerview explaining basic hydrological terms and individual components of water cycle in nature, summary of methods usually used for runoff separation, and the description of the applied methods. The practical part specifies the locality of Jenínský stream, located in the Český Krumlov district. This part further reflects separation of runoff based on the daily runoffs. Methods GROUND, MPGM and Chapman digital filter have been chosen to compare primary runoff and direct runoff. We have also considered the method of separation of minimal monthly runoff according to Kille for seven-year period in relation to the methods mentioned above. Finally, we have chosen several discharge waves for the method of recession curve analysis. The paper compares direct and primary runoff separated by individual methods in the catchment area of our interest.
