This diploma theses addresses the issue of investment environment and regional development in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The first chapter describes theoretical inputs, namely competitivness and foreign direct investments. The general factors influencing competitivness are applied on example of the Czech Republic. Second chapter analyse the investment environment in the Region. This concerns namely socio-economic situation, business environment and completed restructuring. Included is also SWOT analysis and resulting recommendations. Third chapter evaluates the current state of investments in the Region and describes two significant development projects. These are namely Danish producer of luxury electrotechnics and South Korean car producer. The text describes the investors, industrial zones they are placed in, process and current status of the investment and overall impact upon the Region.

The thesis addresses the issue of sustainable tourism development which is illustrated on the example of the Moravian-Silesian region (of the Czech Republic). The aim of the thesis is the evaluation of the current condition as well as the potential of sustainable tourism development in the Moravian-Silesian region. The theoretical part of the thesis is dedicated to sustainable development with its basic pillars and principles. The Moravian-Silesian region is characterized in terms of in terms of environment, transport infrastructure, and tourism in the practical part of the thesis. In addition, the offer of environmentally-friendly forms of tourism in the region, their support and opportunities for further development is addressed. A significant portion is dedicated to the analysis of knowledge of sustainable tourism development in the region which is based in responses by entrepreneurs in tourism in the Moravian-Silesian region, tourists, residents of the region, and employees of the regional administrative office. The SWOT analysis serves as an instrument for the evaluation of the current state and the potential opportunities for sustainable tourism development in the region.

This Master's thesis deals with the analysis of unemployment in the Moravian-Silesian region from various perspectives, such as age structure, educational structure, length of unemployment, there is also a comparison with other regions of the Czech Republic and analysis of labor supply and demand in the region. Emphasis was also placed on an active employment policy in the region that plays a key role. It was also important to Compaq Czech republic with other European countries and emphasizes the utilization of European funds on active employment policy. Due to the fact that region has strong industrial focus is also prepared an analysis of OKD company, as a major employer, its impact on employment in the region and the potential impacts of the layoffs. The aim of the study was to determine the direction in which the region should follow, where the hidden opportunities are for job seekers, in what position is in comparison with other regions and the influence of the company OKD company the region.

The main focus of this thesis is the analysis of the development of labor market in the Moravia-Silesian region of the Czech Republic in between 2001 and 2013. The theoretical introduction concentrates on aspects that have influence on the differences between regions and the reasons of regional differences in the Czech Republic specifically focusing on those with direct influence on the labor market. The analysis examines the development of employment and unemployment in the mentioned region and time period. It analyzes factors that influenced this development, especially the industrial restructuralization, change of population structure and the social and pension reforms. Detailed attention is given to changes of local labor market of Havířov city, from the very foundation of the city till present time. Using a detailed labor market and demographic structure analysis, conclusions are made that may lead to potential reduction of the high unemployment rate in the Moravia-Silesian region.

of the paper: Historiography pays different attentions to cadet branches of sovereign dynasties. Because of that some of them are well known to the public, while others are almost forgotten. Generally, they are considered less important. In my work I am paying attention to cadet branches of the Premyslid dynasty and cadet branches of other sovereign dynasties in central Europe. What were their relations with their ruling relatives? What were their marriage policies and their domains? Can we find any general tendencies in cadet branches of sovereign dynasties and were they really less important? I am trying to answer these and other questions in my work. The Master's Thesis deals with an analysis of regional differentiation in micro-regions of Moravian-Silesian Region. However, the analysis focuses on period of industrialization, periods before and after industrialization are also included. Development of population has been under the influence of several factors such as railway transport and both hierarchical and administrative position. A brief comparison with other regions of the Czech Republic is also embraced. The main focus is on the analysis on the level of micro-regions of individual municipalities. Historical development determined creation of special relationship between Core and Periphery. The part of the Thesis is devoted to a synthesis which divides micro-regions into categories according to the developing tendencies. Succinct comment is dedicated to the analysis of developing trends, key determinants and prediction of further population development. The hypothesis are held in the Introduction and confirmed or disproved in the Conclusion.

Silesia greatly differed from other lands of the Bohemian Crown with regard to its specific political, administrative, religious and cultural development. This situation was caused partly due to the fragmentation of Silesian territory. In the Middle Ages, Silesia was divided among many independent principalities ruled by the members of the Piast Dynasty. During the 14th century the Silesian princes accepted the sovereignty of the Bohemian king. When the ruling dynasties died out, these principalities were inherited by the Crown. The king could then grant the principality to the members of noble families. At the same time as the Habsburgs entered the Bohemian throne, reformation began to spread in Silesia. By the end of 16th century most of the Silesian princes had converted to lutheranism. The only Catholic prince was the bishop of Wrocław as a master of Nysa principality. Approximately 90 percent of the Silesian inhabitants had become Lutheran by the end of 16th century. Confesinal tensions were simmering throughout the Habsburg Monarchy. With the help of Bohemian estates, the protestant Silesian princes received the letter of majesty containing religious rights (1609). The diploma thesis deals with the depiction of different national identities (Czechs, Germans, Jews and Poles) and their conflicts in the František Sokol Tůma's novels V záři milionů and Na kresách. The thesis focuses on the issue of nationalism in Ostrava Region and Těšín Region and on the way it affects the literary depiction of "others" and "foreigners". Another important part of the thesis deals with the specific setting of language frontiers and its influence on literary images of characters of different nationalities. This diploma thesis presents safety inspection in selected localities in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Ten sections and ten intersections from rural area were selected for an accident rate analysis at first. These locations were compared on the basis of accident rate analysis and accident indicators. After that, were selected three sections and three intersections for a safety inspection. The safety inspection included a visual inspection and risk identification. For all identified risks were proposed a possible solutions.
