During the last stages of the Marcommani Wars in the late second century A.D., Roman literary sources recorded that the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius was planning to annex the Germanic territory of the Marcomannic and Quadic tribes. This work will propose that Marcus Aurelius was going to create a province called Marcomannia. The thesis will be supported by archaeological data originating from excavations in the Roman installation at Mušov, Moravia, Czech Republic. The investigation will examine the history of the non-Roman region beyond the northern Danubian frontier, the character of Roman occupation and creation of other Roman provinces on the Danube, and consult primary sources and modern research on the topic of Roman expansion and empire building during the principate. / Graduate / 0579 / 0324 / 0294

Aim of this thesis is to create analyze business plan of guest house named Třináctka, which will be built in southern Moravia with support of EU funds. The thesis is divided into 2 parts, theoretical and applicative. There is described meaning of business plan and EU structural funds in the first, theoretical part. There is also defined structure of business plan and all items of this plan are described. Specialized literature and author´s knowledge gained during studies at University of Economics in Prague were used as a source of this theoretical part. Applicative part consist of business plan and process how to get subsidy from EU structural fund and how this subsidy will influence comprehensive impact on the guesthouse Třináctka. At the end of the thesis there is a conclusion about potential success of the project with regards the business plan in applicative part.

The aim of the project is to design a public building in the place, where phenomena of Pálava mountains, reflecting water surface and wine tradition meet. It is right in the area of Strachotín village. Project is trying to harness the power of these qualities to create a special attractive house. But also, the house is showing the viewer new perspective on these entities, which would not be seen without it. The location and concept of this wine house is strengthening the link between village and Pálava reflected in water. Therefore, the main part of interior is oriented exactly on the axis between these two poles. Secondarily, house contains the small museum of local history. In terms of technical aspects, we are dealing with the floating house, which is not affecting the building of dyke in no way.
