Debata o právní úpravě nelegální migrace v České republice a ve Spolkové republice Německo / The debate on illegal migration legislation in the Czech Republic and Federal Republic of GermanyBrehmerová, Martina January 2007 (has links)
Tématem práce je fenomén nelegální migrace, a to v Česku a Německu, dvou sousedních zemích a členských státech Evropské unie. Konkrétně práce zpracovává debatu o právní úpravě fenoménu nelegální migrace, tedy návrhy a postoje jednotlivých aktérů zapojených do diskuze o stávajících i chybějících právních normách upravujících oblast nelegální migrace v Česku a Německu.

"The last Bridge" - The United German Olympic Teams in the East And West German Press 1956-1964Pust-Petters, Anna Celine January 2015 (has links)
The purpose of the thesis is to explore how the negotiations about the United German Olympic Teams (1956-1964) were represented in the West and East German press, specifically in Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FRG) and Neues Deutschland (GDR). The United German Olympic Teams were the last bridge connecting the two Germanys, continuing to exist even after the construction of the Berlin wall. The thesis is based on the assumption that sport played an important role in the construction of post- war German identities. Moreover, it will be argued that the two German states relied heavily on ideological demarcation from the respective "other" for legitimization. Thus, the thesis will argue that the discourses about the constitution of the team reflect on questions of identity, unity, and division. In order achieve this, Fairclough's method of Critical Discourse Analysis will be used to examine ideological and symbolic content in the discourses on the negotiations between the two National Olympic Committees. Incidental sequence learning in humans : predictions of an associative accountYeates, Fayme January 2014 (has links)
This thesis aims to investigate how well associative learning can account for human sequence learning under incidental conditions. It seems that we can learn complex sequential information about events in our environment, for example language or music, incidentally, without being aware of it. Awareness is, however, a complex issue with arguments for (Dienes, 2012) and against (Shanks, 2005) the existence of implicit learning processes. A dual process account proposes that there exist two different learning systems, one based on conscious, controlled reasoning and rules, and the other based on automatic association formation, which can take place outside of awareness (McLaren, Green, & Mackintosh, 1994). This thesis attempts to use the predictions of an associative account in conjunction with a suitable method for investigating implicit learning: sequence learning (Destrebecqz & Cleeremans, 2003). The research involves a collection of serial reaction time (SRT) tasks whereby participants respond to on-screen stimuli that follow a sequence that they were (intentional learning) or were not (incidental learning) informed of. Following on from the experimental design of Jones and McLaren (2009) this thesis provides evidence that humans differ in their ability to learn different sequential contingencies. After training sequences of trials where the current trial location was twice as likely to be either: the same as (Same rule); or different to (Different rule) the location two trials before this, participants were far better at learning the latter rule. I found that this result was not adequately simulated by the benchmark associative model of sequence learning, the Augmented SRN (Cleeremans & McClelland, 1991), and present a revised model. This model, amongst other attributes, represents all the stimuli experienced by participants and can therefore learn stimulus-response contingencies. These seem to block learning (to some extent) about the Same rule thus providing an associative explanation of the advantage for acquisition of the Different rule. Further predictions regarding the role of additional stimuli alongside sequence learning were then derived from this associative account and tested on human participants. The first of these was that additional stimuli within the task will interact with sequence learning. I found that human participants show increased Same rule learning when additional, concurrently presented stimuli follow the previous element in the sequence. I demonstrate that when participants perform an SRT task where responses are predicted by the colour of a cue, they are able to learn about this relationship in the absence of awareness. Using this cue-response learning I further investigate cue-competition between sequences and colours under incidental conditions and find evidence that suggests between cue associations may alter the influence of cue competition. These results altogether suggest that stimuli – both simple and sequential – can be learned under incidental conditions. This thesis further proposes that learning about simple and more complex relationships between stimuli interacts according to the predictions of an associative account and provides evidence that contributes to a dual process understanding of human learning.

Sociálne tržné hospodárstvo v SRN - súčasný stav / Social market economy in Germany - current state of thingsValkovič, Tomáš January 2008 (has links)
The master thesis in the theoretical part tries to explain the functioning of the social market economy in Germany and also describes the individual reform steps which were aimed to increase the competitiveness of the German economy in the era of increasing global competition. In the practical part the author concentrated on the impact of the economic crisis on the system of social market economy in Germany. The author chose the revival of the private consumption as the key factor in overcoming the economic crisis and using the regression model tried to assess which economic indicators influence the private consumption of German households the most. From the results of this analysis he derived six reform measures which should help Germany overcome the current economic crisis.

Volby do Evropského parlamentu 2019 v Polsku a SRN a jejich reflexe v tamních médiích / European Parliament elections 2019 in Poland and Germany and their reflection in the local mediaBreuer, Pavel January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis is about the elections to the European Parliament in Poland and Germany 2019 and their reflection in the local media, which are the periodicals Junge Freiheit, WSieci, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Rzeczpospolita, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Gazeta Wyborcza, Jungle World and Kultura Liberalna. The thesis presents the historical development of the European Parliament, its competencies, and the electoral system. It also acquaints the reader with its powers and composition in 2019. In the thesis, the author presents the first direct elections to the European Parliament in Germany in 1979 and in Poland in 2004. In order to create an objective overview of the elections for the reader, the author presents the elections in Germany and in Poland in 2009 and in 2014. Subsequently, the 2019 elections themselves are the main theme, along with party campaigns and election polls in the two selected countries. Quantitative and qualitative research of the selected media was conducted to find answers to the research questions, which it adequately did. These answers are thoroughly commented after presentation. The final part of the thesis deals with the comparison of periodicals, summarization of the qualitative analysis and the conclusion of the whole diploma thesis.

Německo a (versus) Německo. Vztahy mezi Spolkovou republikou Německo a NDR ve čtyřúhelníku Bonn - Východní Berlín - Praha - Moskva v závěru studené války / Germany and (versus) Germany. The relationships between the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR int he square made of Bonn - East Berlin - Prague - Moscow at the end of the Cold WarDoležal, Jakub January 2015 (has links)
The content of this thesis are relations between the Federal Republic of Germany and the GDR at the end of the Cold War, specifically in the seven-year period between the beginning of the government of Helmut Kohl and the fall of the Berlin Wall. These relations are described in a wider dimension within a square made of Bonn - Berlin - Prague - Moscow; the basic intention of the work is to create a comprehensive analysis of all important links and transformations not only between the East and West Germany, but also among all actors in defined tetragon. Thesis-conclusions are to a large extent based on the long-term research in Czech and German archives; key documents were found in the archive of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs and in the archive of the former State Security of the GDR. The term inter-German relations is reduced to the area of Deutschlandpolitik - negotiations at the highest level - and given the large scope of reciprocal contacts, they are limited also thematically, while two dimensions are primarily monitored - so called priority axis. The first is the field of economy. Its key importance is framed by two billion-loans granted with a guarantee of the Federal Government of the GDR at the beginning of analysed period, and a total paradigm shift in relations among Bonn - Berlin...
