Perspektivy mladých ve strukturách politických stran / The perspective of young people within political party structuresČábalová, Nataša January 2014 (has links)
The main topic of this thesis is the perspective of young people within political party structures. The author bases her research on the assumption that, in the Czech Republic, the younger generation of party members is not sufficiently represented within political parties, and that political parties do not create ballot papers that fairly represent the young candidates. However, the author also assumes that Czech political parties are aware of the under-representation of young politicians within their structures, and consistently try to work with this. The objective of this dissertation is, therefore, to more explicitly explain whether and if so then how Czech political parties officially define the position of young people within the inner structures of the parties, how large the representation of young people is on ballot papers for representative bodies, and to demonstrate how Czech political parties generally approach this issue. The author defines the young political generation as people over 18 but under 35 years old. The research section of this thesis is based on an analysis of official regulations of chosen political parties. An analysis of the ballot papers of the same political parties for the 2013 Chamber of Deputies election and for the 2012 regional representative bodies election was also carried out.The approach of political parties to their youngest members is based on a survey carried out by the author.

Hodnota politických konexí: Výsledky pro Českou republiku / The Value of Political Connections: Evidence from the Czech RepublicPalanský, Miroslav January 2016 (has links)
The Value of Political Connections: Evidence from the Czech Republic Miroslav Palanský Abstract This thesis estimates the value of political connections in the Czech Republic and it is divided into two parts. The first one explores the recently extended, most advanced publicly available data set on political party financing in the Czech Republic, covering the time period 1995-2015. We analyze basic patterns in party funding and their development over time. We focus primarily on private funding from both legal and natural persons. The data show that there exists substantial heterogeneity in the volume of private funding across parties and over time, but contributions from the government budget remain the most important source of income for all larger parties. We analyze the available data on donations and discuss several issues regarding the notion that donors may view contributions as investment, yielding possible profits in the future. In the second part, we use the data set of corporate donations to construct a proxy variable for political connections and to estimate the effect of being connected to a political party on the financial performance of such firms. We find that the connected firms perform significantly better than the non- connected ones in the years following the establishment of the...

Idea suverenity lidu a systém politických stran v tzv. první Československé republice (1918 - 1938) a v České republice od roku 1993 / The Concept of Sovereignty of the People and the Political Party System in the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918-1938) and in the Czech Republic since 1993Havel, Tomáš January 2016 (has links)
The idea of sovereignty of the people offers a concept which allows searching for legitimacy of power. The legitimacy of power is one of the key structures establishing a relation between those who govern and those who are governed. Whether this relation is accepted, acceptable, functional, desirable or undesirable is a matter of finding the very definition of sovereignty of the people as such. The aim of this doctoral thesis, titled The Concept of Sovereignty of the People and the Political Party System in the First Czechoslovak Republic (1918 - 1938) and in the Czech Republic since 1993, is, firstly, to define the concepts of the people, on one hand, and sovereignty, on the other hand, in the historical, political and legal context from the ancient times up to now while reflecting the role of political parties in relation to the sovereignty of the people. Secondly, this thesis aims at exploring and describing the functioning of the party systems in the interwar Czechoslovakia and in the Czech Republic after 1993. Thirdly, this thesis seeks to answer the following questions: who represents the people in liberal democracies which are based on sovereignty of the people; how do the people exercise their power; and what is the role of the political parties in this process.

Síťová odvětví a přirozené monopoly (právní aspekty) / Legal aspects of network industries and natural monopoliesŠik, Martin January 2017 (has links)
1 Summary Key words: Natural monopoly, network industry, energy industry, regulation, liberalization, unbundling, third party access The present thesis sets out to explore the legal aspects of network industries and natural monopolies. It researches these aspects using the example of the energy sector (i.e. the power and gas industries), which is a typical example of a network industry. In terms of its geographical scope, the thesis focuses on the EU energy law and its specific application in the Czech Republic. The fundamental point of departure for the present thesis is a believe that energy law is closely intertwined with economic policy, and is appropriately interpreted only in the context of the concrete measures, tools, and concepts meant to reflect a nation's energy policy. The main driver of energy policy, and hence also of energy law, is a reform of the energy industry aiming at its liberalization. The key tools for its successful implementation are economic regulation, third party access, unbundling, and public administration by independent regulatory bodies. Firstly, the present thesis discusses the economic characteristics of network industries, that is most importantly the existence of a natural monopoly. The second part of the thesis outlines the background of liberalization and the related...

Financování politických stran a hnutí: Monitoring financování předvolebních kampaní do krajských zastupitelstev 2016 / Financing of political parties and movements: Monitoring of financing of the election campaigns for the regional council elections 2016Malinová, Soňa January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the topic of financing of political parties and political movements in the Czech Republic, which is still neglected and insufficiently regulated in our country. In the practical part, the focus is on the financing and monitoring of the election campaigns for the regional council elections 2016. It primarily deals with the evaluation of the transparency of candidates and their campaigns. The election campaigns of the political movement ANO 2011 and the political party ČSSD are analyzed in detail in this thesis with an emphasis on the analysis of transparent accounts of the two candidates. The mandatory establishment of transparent accounts and expenditure ceilings for campaigns, in force since January 2017, are a very positive move towards a transparent political environment. Combined with control mechanisms and a system of sanctions, they form the basis for building a more transparent Czech political scene and they are the cause for further reforms and widening of rules in the system of political party and movement financing in the Czech Republic.

Využití analýzy sociálních sítí při analýze sociálního okolí projektového manažera / Use of social network analysis in analyzing social environment of a project managerHájek, Martin January 2009 (has links)
Diploma thesis deals with the social environment of a project manager and describes different approaches in its analysis. The social environment is defined as a sum of soft factors that affect a project manager and influence the course of the project. Besides proficiency in various project management methodologies, knowledge of the project plan, and understanding of the client's field of business, awareness of the social environment is essential for eventual project success. Thesis objectives aim at defining the scope of the social environment, and presenting analysis techniques and methods, through which it is possible to enhance overall project performance. Other objectives include stating recommendations for project managers to fully comprehend their social environment, and documenting discussed findings on project related case studies -- among others also on the social networks analysis conducted in a real life project environment. The thesis describes three analysis methods -- social network analysis, stakeholder analysis, and analysis of psychological profile of the team members, which mutually complement each other and provide project managers with a comprehensive overview of their social environments. Social network analysis is elaborated on the most in detail, because it forms theoretical as well as practical introduction to the topic, and a base for further analyses.
