Excel?ncia criativa de mulheres brasileiras e portuguesas / Creative excellence of Brazilian and Portuguese women

To this end, 35 women - 20 Brazilian and 15 Portuguese women made up the sample investigated. 11 Brazilian and 9 Portuguese women were socially recognized for their creative production in different areas of knowledge, while 9 Brazilian and 6 Portuguese women were not socially recognized for creative production. The instruments utilized were: the Interview Guide, the Thinking and Creating Styles Scale and the Biographical Scale of Leading Creative Women. The Interview Guide consists of 15 semi-open questions related to childhood, adolescence, career, work process, observed changes in work over the years, personal locks, identification of talented young people in the area of operation, administration of personal life and professional challenges today and free time. The Thinking and Creating Styles Scale is a linkert-type scale and consists of 100 items that assess the following styles: Cautious-Reflective, nonconformist-Transformer, Logical-Objective, Emotional-Intuitive and Relational-Divergent. The Biographical Scale of Leading Creative Women is also a linkert-type one and consists of 69 items related to 5 dimensions: childhood and adolescence, school life, work, family and sexuality. The Mann-Whitney test was used for the Thinking and Creating Styles Scale and to the Biographical Scale of Leading Creative Women in order to compare both the socially recognized creative women and those not recognized as such. As for the interviews, a content analysis was carried out, and a comparison based on the answering categories was made between the socially recognized and non-recognized women for their creative production by means of the Chi-squared distribution. The results indicated that there were no significant differences in thinking and creating styles between the creative excellent and noncreative excellent Brazilian and Portuguese women, nor between the creative excellent women of both countries. There were significant differences in the dimension Mother- Influence in Childhood and Adolescence (p<0.05) in the Biographical Scale between the award-winning and non-award-winning Brazilian women, as well as in Male-Female in the Workplace (p<0.05) and Work Affiliation (p<0.05) between the award-winning and nonaward- winning Portuguese women on the basis of the same instrument. Moreover, as far as the content analysis was concerned, significant differences (p<0.05) were found in the Intrinsic Motivation, Leisure and Favorable Environmental Factors to Creativity. Highly significant differences (p<0.001) were also found in Personal and Cognitive Characteristics, Personality Traits and Creative Process Conditioning Factors between the award-winning and non-award-winning Brazilian women. Between the award-winning and non-awardwinning Portuguese women there was significant difference (p<0.05) for the Behavior in Childhood category and highly significant differences (p<0.001) in these two other categories: Personal and Cognitive Characteristics and Favorable Environmental Factors to Creativity. It was concluded that creative excellent women of both countries have similar profile, however there are differences between the creative excellent and non-creative excellent women in both countries. / Considerando o aumento do n?mero de mulheres em posi??o de destaque nos diversos setores da sociedade, esta pesquisa buscou investigar os estilos de pensar e criar e verificar as diferen?as nos fatores ambientais e psicol?gicos que influenciam a produ??o criativa de mulheres excelentes criativas brasileiras e portuguesas em diferentes ?reas. Para tanto, fizeram parte da amostra 35 mulheres - 20 brasileiras e 15 portuguesas. 11 brasileiras e 9 portuguesas eram socialmente reconhecidas por produ??o criativa em diferentes ?reas de conhecimento, enquanto 9 brasileiras e 6 portuguesas n?o eram reconhecidas socialmente por produ??o criativa. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: o Roteiro de Entrevista, a Escala de Estilos de Pensar e Criar e a Escala Biogr?fica de Mulheres L?deres Criativas. O Roteiro de Entrevista ? composto por 15 quest?es semi-abertas relacionadas ? inf?ncia, adolesc?ncia, carreira, processo de trabalho, mudan?as observadas no trabalho com o passar dos anos, bloqueios pessoais, identifica??o de jovens talentosos na ?rea de atua??o, administra??o da vida pessoal e profissional, desafios na atualidade e tempo livre. A Escala de Estilos de Pensar e Criar ? do tipo Likert e composta por 100 itens que avaliam os estilos Cauteloso- Reflexivo, Inconformista-Transformador, L?gico-Objetivo, Emocional-Intuitivo e Relacional- Divergente. A Escala Biogr?fica de Mulheres L?deres Criativas tamb?m ? do tipo Likert e constitu?da por 69 itens relacionados a 5 dimens?es inf?ncia e adolesc?ncia, vida escolar, trabalho, fam?lia e sexualidade. O teste Mann-Whitney foi utilizado para a Escala de Estilos de Pensar e Criar e para a Escala Biogr?fica de Mulheres L?deres Criativas para comparar os grupos de mulheres brasileiras e portuguesas socialmente reconhecidas como criativas e n?o reconhecidas. Quanto ?s entrevistas, foi feita an?lise de conte?do e as categorias de respostas foram comparadas entre as mulheres brasileiras e portuguesas reconhecidas e n?o reconhecidas socialmente em produ??o criativa por meio do Qui-quadrado. Os resultados indicaram que n?o existiram diferen?as significativas nos estilos de pensar e criar entre as mulheres excelentes criativas e as n?o excelentes criativas brasileiras e portuguesas e entre as excelentes criativas de ambos pa?ses. Houve diferen?as significativas na dimens?o Influ?ncia da M?e na Inf?ncia e na Adolesc?ncia (p<0,05) da Escala Biogr?fica entre as brasileiras premiadas e n?o premiadas e nas dimens?es Masculinidade e Feminilidade no Trabalho (p<0,05) e Afilia??o no Trabalho (p<0,05) do mesmo instrumento entre as portuguesas premiadas e n?o premiadas. Al?m disso, para a an?lise de conte?do foram encontradas diferen?as significativas (p<0,05) nas categorias Motiva??o Intr?nseca, Tempo Livre, Fatores Ambientais Favor?veis ? Criatividade e diferen?as altamente significativas (p<0,001) nas categorias Caracter?sticas Pessoais Cognitivas, Caracter?sticas de Personalidade e Condi??es que Influem no Processo Criativo (p<0,01) entre as brasileiras premiadas e n?o premiadas. Entre as portuguesas premiadas e n?o premiadas houve diferen?a significativa (p<0,05) para a categoria Comportamento na Inf?ncia e diferen?as altamente significativas (p<0,001) nas categorias Caracter?sticas Pessoais Cognitivas e Fatores Ambientais Favor?veis ? Criatividade. Conclui-se que as mulheres excelentes criativas de ambos pa?ses possuem perfil semelhante, entretanto existem diferen?as entre as mulheres excelentes criativas e n?o excelentes criativas nos dois pa?ses.
