Asimetrijos įtaka daugiasluoksnių konstrukcinių elementų standumui ir stiprumui / The influence of asymmetry on tightness and strength of constructional elements

Taujenis, Giedrius 13 June 2005 (has links)
The aim of the paper is to analyse the consistent patterns of geometric centres, rigidity centres, distribution of the rigidity and strength of multilayer rods by changing the geometric characteristics of layers, the distribution of materials on the cross-section of structural element given asymmetric two-layer structures. The dynamics of variation of geometrical and tightness centres, extreme to the bend of tightness and strength values of a two-layer rod was analysed in the work. Six structures were chosen and formed while point A was moving horizontally, vertically and diagonally. The regularities of the position of neutral layers, the change of tightness to bend in asymmetric multilayer structural elements from the thickness of layers and the change of the modules of the elasticity of materials forming them were analysed. The analysis was carried out using analytical terms. There were set dependences describing the change of Dmax in asymmetrical two-layer rods, depending on ψ parameter. The intensity of change depends on the modules of elasticity of the materials composing the layers. The new scantling model of a multilayer rod was proposed (the form of its layers is polygonal, which does not constrict the generality as the sides of the polygons may be as small as possible). This model makes it possible to measure the tightness of the rod to bend in any direction as well as extreme values of tightness and the corresponding directions of neutral layers and the... The impact of strategic alliances on firm valuation

Chung, Yi-Fang 22 June 2005 (has links)
This study analyzes 197 companies formed through strategic alliance during the period 1995-2004. There are 107 samples of technological strategic alliance and 90 samples of marketing strategic alliance. The empirical methodology used in this research is the event study approach, which assesses the value implications of the announcement of forming strategic alliance. This study then examines relationships between abnormal returns and relative scale of strategic alliances partners, and profitability of companies through regression analysis to find the following results: 1. The announcement will bring significantly positive abnormal return to the company. 2. Abnormal returns of technological alliance are greater than that of marketing alliance announcements. 3. There is no significant relationship between relative sizes of partners and abnormal returns. Accumulative abnormal returns of relatively larger size partner are higher than relatively smaller size partners. Relatively larger partners in technological alliances gain more benefits in a strategic alliance. 4. The profitability of firms entering strategic alliances is negatively correlated with abnormal returns attributable to alliance announcements. Such a negative correlation is greater for marketing alliances than for technological alliances.

Innovation has been inserted in varioussectors as a key factor to reposition companies and countries. This paper proposes an analytical study about the development of innovation and differentiation of product by the Swiss company Nestlé, leader in structure and sales in the global market for Processed Foods Industry, which since 2000 has invested in the functional food segment and since 2011 has diversified towards the pharmaceutical industry through the creation of two organizations: the first one refers to Nestlé health Science SA, where are developed products aimed at health, and the second one concerns to the health Sciences Institute of Nestle where biotechnology research is designed to analyze human DNA and thus offer customized products. The purpose is to investigate the main factors that led the giant in food diversify toward the pharmaceutical industry to promote product innovation, translated here like food that focus is on health. This means, observing the characteristics and determinants of Nestlé innovation in the last two decades, for the purpose of analyze the existence of a relationship between product innovation in the form of functional foods and the trend of this great food company processed in diversification into toward the pharmaceutical industry as a means of competition; and identify the impact of product innovation on their quantity of sales, profits and market share in the world and in Brazil. Recent literature shows that the life cycle of the Industry Product Processed Food (IAP) has been reduced owing to the introduction of innovations, several focused on differentiation, but some innovations sight to consolidate a new technological path for the industry. / 1437234

Vliv vybraných ukazatelů chovného prostředí na úroveň welfare dojeného skotu

JAROLÍMKOVÁ, Alžběta January 2019 (has links)
The diploma focuses on an assessment of welfare, technology and technological systems related to an efficiency and health condition of dairy cattle in selected farms in the Czech republic. Farming and veterinary database had been used in the process of compiling the diploma content; and screening methods to assess a welfare level in dairy cows herds. Stables for dairy cows must be in a dispositional, technical and operational compliance with the applied farm technology, in order to keep air circulation, dustiness, temperature and relative air humidity, gas concentration, lighting and noise levels within the safe limits. Any of the farm technological systems must not affect health condition and well-being of animals. Environment, providing animals conditions allowing natural behavior, rest and intake of food and water, creates a foundation for sustaining an appropriate welfare level of cattle as a significant prerequisite for reaching optimal productional a reproductional indicators. Even though there was no significant statistical difference documented (p >0,05) between monitored farms in selected indicators, an analysis of mutual dependency has been conducted between the environment level and some productional and reproductional indicators and health conditions of cattle.

"Modernidade e formação de professores: a prática dos multiplicadores dos núcleos de tecnologia educacional do nordeste e a informática na educação" / Modernity and teacher formation: the 'multiplicadores' practice of the Northeast Educational Technologic Group for informatics applied to education

Abranches, Sergio Paulino 07 March 2003 (has links)
This research analyses the “multiplicadores" practice of the Northeast “Núcleo de Tecnologia Educacional" (Educational Technologic Group), who works with in-service teacher formation for informatics applied to education. This research objective is to verify the relationship between this type of teacher formation and the modernity’s concept. More then that, we intend to study how it responds to educational needs referred to teacher formation. The theoretical-base assumes that modern society has been permeated with technology, characterizing modernity as Information Society, Knowledge Society or Post-modernity. The central hypothesis is based on the idea that “multiplicadores’ associate informatics applied to education as educational modernity, and that builds new educational paradigm’s main part. The ethnography methodology used understanding of research’s problem through every day teacher’s practice. To do so, we observed teacher’s activities and carried out interviews about teacher’s every day classroom work., in order to comprehend teachers’ perceptions about their practice. The result showed a complex and contradictory situation, characterized by the actual modernity phase and “multiplicadores" own identity’s process.

Barreiras e facilitadores da inovação social: estudo de casos múltiplos no Brasil / Barriers and facilitators of social innovation: multiple case study in Brazil

Bataglin, Jaiarys Capa 10 April 2017 (has links)
The present thesis seeks to analyze initiatives of social innovation, of three different organizational formats, with reference to approaches of the New Economic Sociology (NSE). Authors of this theoretical current, suggest to observe the economic actions, from a reconfiguration of the social actors, in this sense, broaden the notion of the economy beyond the mercantile and monetary questions, considering such, as social construction. This thesis is based on the premise that social innovation (IS) emerges as a response to the growing socioeconomic and environmental challenges arising from the neoliberal global economic model, being a social initiative both in the process and result, and therefore an alternative innovation to the current model of economic development. For this, we opted for the analysis of socially innovative initiatives of three different organizations: Banco Palmas - a community bank, located in Fortaleza (CE), the organization Cidades Sem Fome - a nongovernmental organization located in São Paulo (SP) and Colab - a private company, located in São Paulo (SP), and operating in different Brazilian states. The question that guided the research was: \"How does the dynamics of social innovation occur and what are the barriers and facilitators of this innovation model\"? To answer this question, we used an exploratory, descriptive-qualitative research approach, based on multiple cases. Multiple sources of evidence were used and the data triangulation technique was used, through semi-structured interviews, direct observation and documentary analysis, as well as the technique of content analysis. The results showed that social innovation consists of a collective action, configured by a participatory and collaborative logic, through a network of actors. From the initiatives investigated and based on the theoretical propositions of research, it is possible to affirm that social innovation has been able to bring about changes in the political-institutional environment in which it is inserted. They have as one of the main facilitators, the participation of social actors - beneficiaries - in the process of managing the solution undertaken, through shared governance. And as one of the main barriers, the political-institutional context, in the legal aspect. It was verified, from the analyzed cases, that innovation is social both in the process and in the result, being able to generate and to strengthen new relations between the actors, and also, to contribute to the empowerment of the beneficiaries, considering them as co-producers of such initiatives.

Performance e tecnologia: o lugar do corpo / -

Firmeza, Yuri 20 May 2011 (has links)
This research discusses the place of the body within the context of the natural/artificial hybridizations that arise in the contemporaneity. The research also comprehends the presentation of experimental proposal coming from and related to the theoretical aspect of this work. Throughout the dissertation, even that implicitly, the body is treated under the prism of a body-test. Test not in the sense of something to be corrected, finished by coercive practices, but a body in a state of constant invention, caught by the entropic forces of the world, and in permanent confrontation and negotiation with forms of control and power.
