In today's globalised hypercompetition dominated world, companies are often fighting for survival. This theses tries to verify, if a way out could be found in the usage of strategic elements used in military approaches. Inspiration is sought in Sunzi ("The Art of War"), Carl von Clausewitz ("On War") and Nicollo Machiavelli ("The Prince"). The company's goal is to generate profit and managers should aim to achieve this goal by using every available information and opportunity, preferably without direct competitive encounter. "The Art of War" and other timeless military works give us today more then ever an inspiration how to succeed in today's hard business world.

The company A in this article is a Household Service company. The industry in Taiwan presents a perfect competition. It¡¦s very difficult to compete in this situation. The Household Service of Taiwan is an emerging industry in the past decade and there were only few studies on it. In this study, I will try to discuss Household Services of Taiwan through the marketing and competition strategies. This study is using case study, the results are listed below: 1.The Household service industry in Taiwan mostly concentrated in three major metropolitan areas, especially in Taipei. 2.The ¡§Training¡¨ is the core competence of all the Taiwan¡¦s Household Service companies. 3.The overall company¡¦s marketing capabilities in Taiwan Household Service Companies, as opposed to the Japan¡¦s Household Service Companies is relatively insufficient. 4.The suggestion to the company is the need to take more cooperation with other industrial sectors, and the development of the new products (services).

Abstract In 2004 the market shares of Taiwan taken the place of Japan and became the 2nd in the world, only next to Korea.In the near future, we can forecast that TFT-LCD will succeed the semi-conductor industry to stand for the star industry of Taiwan. Since the supplychain of TFT-LCD are very long, complicate and most of the key components controlled by big supplier from Japan and USA. In market,From 2004 Q3, the new 6th and 7th TFT-LCD generation production line in Korea, Japan and Taiwan will start to trial run. At the same time, the LCD-TV market expands slowly by the high price. With all these unclear condition raise the worry about the future of this industry. It is difficult to forecast the feature condition. Taiwan¡¦s company face more competitive and uncertain condition. The conclusions of this study are presented as follows: This study simulates possible condition by poters Industrial scenario in the feature. According these possible condition this study also provide a process of develop competitive strategy for Taiwanese corporations. This research offer suggestions for Taiwanese corporations: 1) proceed to vertical integration in key components and mergers to achieve competitive scale. 2) cooperate or form alliance with Japanese corporations 3) make use of Co-opetition strategy to change the element of competition between Taiwan¡BJapan¡Bchina and Korea. 4) Taiwan companys should create competitive advantages by using the vertical allied with supplier and the strongest advantage of cluster effectiveness. 5) shift manufacturing to China to achieve cost advantage.6) It is good time develping own¡¦s brand. Then Taiwanese corporations will establish competitive advantages in this industry.

Abstract The main core of this study is ATV industry in Taiwan to look for new development field. Basic on this point of view and Taiwan experience, this study analyses the ATV industry and market strategy for Taiwan manufacturer. From understanding the ATV industry further to analyses the currently development situation in Europe, American and Japanese market and the operating situation of main manufacturer assist with SOWT and Five Forces Framework analysis to help the manufacturer have more competition opportunity and offer the future development suggestion. The conclusion is as below: 1. The competition strategy of Taiwan ATV industry exist competition price and non-competition price strategy. The manufacturer must be in leading position of the new vehicles development in order to be the leader in this market. 2. As the market grow, the manufacturer must take difference strategy to win the customer confidence, and the quick changing of the out looking will be the key trend of the market. So to own the tooling development and production ability will make the products in great use. 3. The ATVs are mostly used on risky environments so the production liability are more important than others feature. In some countries, the end users form ATV club and in this way " brand reputation" is going to be important part. 4. The new manufacturer of ATV must take price strategy to win one place in the market. 5. The completive price is a short - term strategy, only the products difference can make the profit in long - term. 6. As we enter into a high energy consumption era, people start taking notice of a simple electronic device called Light Emitting Diode (LED). A continuous rise of crude oil price in global markets and the proposal of WEEE and RoHS by European Union, ¡§energy efficient¡¨ and ¡§environmental friendly¡¨ are becoming more and more important, which leads to the attention of LED. It¡¦s one of the so called ¡§green¡¨ light emitting sources and will be the market¡¦s mainstream in near future. Therefore, LED will become another star product after the measurement of the IC and TFT-LCD industries. Taiwan has been developing LED for over 30 years and has developed a well rounded market structure. Facing huge demand by application such as computer monitor backlight, car lighting, and daily lighting appliance, Taiwanese LED supplier already responded by adjusting their market strategy and increasing their product quality. Many companies began to involve the upstream epitaxial techniques and products. How to survive through well-down strategy development is a key for these upstream suppliers. The purpose of this study is to understand how a new company to build competitive advantage through the case study of the U company. When the U company was found, it uses a different production mode to overcome many problems from traditional production modes. The U company¡¦s strategies lets it could develop fast, provide stable quality products, and manufacture with lost cost. Through this case study, this study wants to shed some light to other people who have interests in the LED industry.

The task of my thesis on the topic of "Strategic Analysis of the Enterprise" was based on the analysis of external and internal environment in the firm PROFIL NÁBYTEK, a.s. The goal of this analysis is proposal some advisable strategies for future development of the company. Object of the company is a joinery and business activity. This thesis exploits theoretical knowledges of the special literature. This work deals with terms of strategic management, strategy, process of strategical planning and several types of basic strategies. After a studying of special literature I shortly described the company and then I gave an attention to the mission, an analysis of external and internal environment, enterprise objectives, proposal and analysis of convenient strategies, which should lead to consolidate and strengthen the competitive position of companies examined in the market. Total appreciation and strategy suggestions I made by the help of SWOT Analysis. The thesis gives us more information that may be the basis for further important decision-making and planning development of firm PROFIL NÁBYTEK, a.s.

Analysis of Oil Industry Competition in Taiwan - A case Study of A company

After liberizing of petroleum products in domestic market, higher crude oil price in the international market since 2005, and emergencing of a well-known in high managerial performance competitor, this case study company, a state-owened enterprise entitled with the responsibility of fully supply of petroleum products needed island wide, has already been impacted seriously by those environments change. History datum or documents analysis and case study methods were used to explore the influence of government policy to local petroleum industries and so the influence of international petroleum industry development to the petroleum industries in Taiwan. Also, the analysis of competition advantages of case company, the discussions on the competition strategies of case company, and further discussion on it's future developments influence by the stratagies were contained in the report. The conclussion are as follows: 1. To maintain two independant refiners and two independant petrochemicals are important in Taiwan. 2. The feed back mechanism, which was designed by the government, is important to the future development of the industries in Taiwan. 3. Taxation on energy from the public is helpful to increase competition of the whole country. 4. If state-owned enterprises may wholly subject by company law, there will be a positive effects on its¡¦ performance. 5. It is of vital important to establish a fair competition environment for this case study company. 6. It is of vital important to design a market price adjusing mechanism and will be much helpful for the development of the case study company. 7. The tuning of refinning structure is positive for the case study company. 8. Transferring to be an energy company is a vision of the case study company. 9. To strengthen exploration activitites has positive effects on the profitability for the case study company. 10. Well usage of gas station as marketing network will be helpfull to the operation of the case study company. 11. Building and maintainning a good image is essential for the case study company's operation in the future. Base on the conclusions mentioned above, this case study suggests: 1. Maintainning current two local petroleum refiners is a must at this moment. 2. The government should establish a fair competition environment and resonable market orders for petroleum industry in Taiwan. 3. Taxation on energy tax by level of consumer should be done by government, and also, the encourage measure for energy saving company should be announced. 4. A feedback mechanism must be designed by the government to help the futher development of petroleum industry. 5. The case study company should be allowed by the government to invest abroad so as to step into global market. 6. The case study company ought to have the competition promotion be carried out. 7. The case study company ought to join social responsibility to promote the image of the company.
