A study on service quality of cell phone¢wtake chunghwa telecom company for instance

Chen, Chung- Hsiung 07 June 2006 (has links)
The telecom fixed line licenses were ratified and promulgated in March 2000, having made the telecom market in Taiwan step into a free competitive era. The telecom market was opened, and the market competition has become drastic.¡@Therefore, the service offered must be good and customer-oriented so as to raise customers¡¦satisfaction, to increase the Mobile Telecommunications market share percentage and to guarantee that Chunghwa Telecom can be sustainable. This research refers mainly to the ¡§SERVQUAL¡¨ concept mode presented in 1988 by Profs. Parasuraman, Zeitheml & Berry of Cambridge University in England. It adopts SPSS software as the tool in analyzing data based upon the Mobile Telecommunications customers in large Kaohsiung Area to investigate. The goals of this study are as follows¡G 1.Whether there is any tremendous difference between customers¡¦ expectation and recognition of service standard. 2.Whether there is any difference between the expectation of customers and telecom employees in the Mobile Telecommunications service quality. 3.Whether there is any difference between the recognition of customers and telecom employees in the Mobile Telecommunications service quality. 4.Whether there is any tremendous influence of customers¡¦ demographic variable on Mobile Telecommunications service quality. 5.To research on the relationship: ¡§active concerns¡¨, ¡§rapid responses¡¨, ¡§tangible reality¡¨ and ¡§secured reliability¡¨. 6.To research on the relationship: ¡§Active concerns¡¨, ¡§rapid responses¡¨, ¡§tangible reality¡¨, ¡§secured reliability¡¨ and service quality. After this study analysis ,the conclusion is made as follows¡G 1.The service standard which the customer expects, has no obvious difference with that the employees thought the customer has expected. 2.The service standard which the customer recognizes, has tremendous difference with that the employees thought the customer has recognized. 3.The Mobile Telecommunications service standard which a customer expects has big difference with what the customer recognizes. 4.The analysis of customers¡¦ demographic variables on whole awareness of the Mobile Telecommunications service quality shows that among the five customers¡¦ demographic variables there is only the fourth item, ¡§professional variable¡¨ has apparent difference. 5.The ¡§active concerns¡¨, ¡§rapid responses¡¨, ¡§tangible reality¡¨ and ¡§secured reliability¡¨ are related significantly and positively . 6.The regression analysis shows that the ¡§rapid responses¡¨ and ¡§ active concerns¡¨ have influence to the service quality.

The Study of Establishment of Brand Position-The Case Study of TransAsia Telecommunications Inc,.

Li, Cheng-Hsiu 20 June 2002 (has links)
The brand-related theories had been valued in recent year. Brand position has been viewed as the core of brand identity, and at the meantime of establishing brands of Taiwan corporations who neglected the importance of brand position. This thesis focused on Taiwan¡¦s mobile service industry and tried to analyze and discuss the ways of establishing brand position of TransAsia Telecommunications Inc. This thesis made the conclusions as followed: (1) Discovering the variable could be differentiated at brand analysis. (2) Choosing and prompting the target-position, which could differentiate itself from other brands¡¦. (3) Communicating the consistent tone of the brand and drawing the attention through being the subject of a talk. (4) The strategic turn of brand position after been merged. Through the discoveries of this thesis, hope it could give some suggestions of building the brand position for practice. Keywords: Brand Position, Brand Identity, TransAsia Telecommunications Inc.

Collaborative streaming in mobile social networks

Kong, Chenguang., 孔臣光. January 2011 (has links)
Mobile social applications have emerged in recent years. They explore social connections among mobile users in a variety of novel scenarios, including friend finding, message routing, and content sharing. However, efficiently supporting resource-demanding delay-sensitive streaming applications on the mobile platform remains a significant challenge. Research on such topics will naturally widen the usage of mobile social applications. The solutions to the challenges will provide suggestion on many related work. It is interesting and valuable to explore the system performance and users’ experience in such scenarios. Furthermore, users’ concern about social network is also significant to develop a mobile social network application. It is important to detect users’ strategies to communicate with others. That influences the network topologies and provides biased connections. The strategy consists of various of aspects, most of which are the user preference and user social attributes. Focusing on this meaningful research field, we study collaborative VoD-type streaming of short videos among small groups of mobile users, so as to effectively exploit their social relationships. Such an application can be practically set in a number of usage scenarios, including streaming of introductory video clips of exhibition items to visitors’ mobile devices, such as in a museum. We analyze users’ behavior strategies based on their social preference and social attributes. We design SMS, an architecture that engineers such Streaming over Mobile Social networks. SMS constructs a collaborative streaming overlay by carefully inspecting social connections among users and infrastructure characteristics of Bluetooth technologies. To improve the performance, we analyze the scatternet structure of Bluetooth technology and propose appropriate scatternet structure in our system. We evaluate our design based on prototype implementation on the Android platform, as well as on a large emulation testbed. The results obtained indicate that we are able to achieve a well-performed streaming system in a mobile social network. / published_or_final_version / Computer Science / Master / Master of Philosophy

The design of an HF band direct sequence point-to-point link for rural telecommunications.

Selmer, Roland Marc. January 2000 (has links)
The following work documents the design of an HF band direct sequence point-to-point link as used in a rural environment. The dissertation begins with a description of the overall document layout. An introduction into the problems associated with providing rural access is then given, with special emphasis on wireless technologies. It is argued that the attributes of HF band radio make it a good candidate for providing wireless communications links for under serviced rural areas in South Africa. The pitfalls and disadvantages of using an ionospheric-based medium in which to propagate an electromagnetic wave are discussed and several solutions are put forward. One of these solutions is Direct Sequence Code Division Multiple Access (DS-CDMA). A thorough analysis of the principles of DS-CDMA is given with emphasis on its abilities to combat the negating effects of the HF channel. A CDMA HF system is then proposed, outlining the various practical and theoretical aspects. Next, an HF channel model is designed and simulated, first with no spreading or coding, then with just spreading and finally with spreading and coding. It is found that although the extra diversity of the spreading and coding aid in reducing the bit error probability, more detailed local measurements and refinement in the design of the channel model and simulated system are needed to increase performance. Various aspects of a practical system that was built are then discussed, highlighting issues such as hardware interfacing and the software design of a man-machine-interface. Field measurements are also given with estimates on an upper limit on expected performance of a practical system. Finally conclusions are given, detailing the achievements and shortcomings of the research. / Thesis (M.Sc.Eng.)-University of Durban-Westville, 2000.

Fritz, James, B. 06 1900 (has links)
Approved for public release, distribution is unlimited / The purpose of this thesis is to perform a cost-effectiveness analysis on proposals, submitted by vendors, for a telecommunication system. This thesis will be used as a guide in the decision-making process of choosing the most cost-effective system for the Bachelor Officers Quarters of the Naval Postgraduate School. In addition to cost-effectivness, this study includes a discussion of the analysis criteria, a review of the Statement of Work and an evaluation of the lease/purchase decision.
