Thesis on Thermal stability of pectins analyzes the physical properties of food hydrocolloids focusing on pectins. The theoretical part explains the general use of hydrocolloids in food with a detailed description of linear polysaccharide galacturonic acid. This part of the thesis pectins divides into groups according to various criteria, describes the mechanism of gel formation, explains the influence of various factors, and also shows the enzymatic reaction. The experimental part is focused on the physical parameters of selected types of pectins, depending on the time of warming and high temperature. The primary physical properties as viscosity, which was measured using a rotational viscometer and strength which was measured by a mechanical and digital penetrometer. This was measured thermal stability.

This diploma thesis deals with the changes of individual components of the heat balance in the petrol engine with combustion for ethanol fuel. The work is divided into two parts. The first part, the theoretical one deals with the im-pact of the current state of internal combustion engines on the environment and are also dis-cussed alternative fuels. In the second part is described the methodology of experimental measurements, which were carried out on this topic in the engine testing laboratory of Mendel University in Brno. From the obtained values the final heat balance of the petrol engine run-ning on fuel containing ethanol is evaluated and compiled.

This diploma thesis deals with architectural design of a family house, including its main constructions and assessment of selected details. Two main alternatives are presented: recommended value of a standard heat transfer coefficient and recommended value for passive houses. The work continues with determination of heat loss of the entire object, including calculation of thermal bridges effect. According to the calculated heat loss, there are several kinds of heating proposed. Namely: firewood, natural gas, brown coal, black coal, heat pump and electricity. The thesis also includes building envelope energy labels for both alternatives. The proposed family house is designed as a wooden structure with an emphasis on low heat loss.

The diploma thesis is divided into two parts. The first part, which is rather theoretical, is engaged in the construction of the house based on wood meets the requirements of low-energy building. Furthermore, this section gives the most widely used thermal insulation and its comparison. In the second part, which is rather practical, is the proposal a two-generation family wooden-house, which is situated in the village Dolany.

The thesis deals with the evaluation of thermal properties of buildings and their possible improvement. The work includes a summary of the different types of materials used in construction and insulation to minimize heat losses through transmission. Work involves the calculation of heat loss of the house, alternative solutions to improve its thermal properties and compared concept solutions with modern construction. At the end of the work.is peformed comparison of the existing building with the proposed alternatives for improvement.
