Termální degradace hyaluronanu / Thermal degradation of hyaluronan

Šimáčková, Marcela January 2016 (has links)
This diploma thesis investigated thermal stability and the degradation of hyaluronan (HA) in HA with a molecular mass of 90–130 kDa and in HA with a molecular mass of 1 500–1 750 kDa. The following methods were used for the research: rheology, SEC-MALLS, TGA and DSC. Low-molecular HA was subject to time dependency of degradation investigation, where it was dried at a temperature of 90 °C for a period of 30 minutes and 60 minutes prior to the preparation of the solutions itself. High-molecular HA was investigated not only from the point of view of time but from the point of view of temperature dependency of degradation as well. In the case of investigating the time dependency of degradation, high-molecular HA was dried at a temperature of 75 °C at a time range from 15 minutes to 120 minutes prior to the preparation of the solutions. During the preparation of the solutions for discovering the temperature dependency of degradation, the high-molecular HA was then dried for a period of 30 minutes at a temperature range from 60 °C to 90 °C. For low-molecular HA, thermal stability was proven. Therefore, there is no decrease in the molecular mass and the solutions did not demonstrate a significant decrease of viscosity. For high-molecular HA, thermal stability was not proven. Degradation due to the temperature of drying as well as the time of drying occurred, which was demonstrated by a significant decrease in molecular mass and viscosity of the solutions. While in the case of using a drying temperature of 60 °C, a decrease in the molecular mass occurred by approximately 5 %, the molecular mass decreased by approximately 20 % at a drying temperature of 90 °C compared to undried HA. Due to this reason, high-molecular HA was also further investigated by means of the TGA method, where the decrease of humidity of HA samples in relation to the drying temperature was observed. The DSC method was also used. The objective of the DSC method was to find out temperatures, at which evaporation of humidity contained in an HA sample in relation to its form (undried HA, dried HA and lyophilized HA) occurs. This method further finds out the heat necessary to evaporate humidity from an HA sample. To conclude this research, the results obtained for high-molecular HA were compared with the results of other drying processes – lyophilized proved to be a very gentle drying method because a decrease in the molecular mass for lyophilized HA compared with undried HA almost did not occur.

Experimentální tepelná analýza horizontální konstrukce pláště dřevostavby s kavitou

Švehlík, Matěj January 2015 (has links)
Thesis is focused on thermal-insulation properties of wood fibreboards and building structure model including non-ventilated air layer. In the first part, the influence of temperature and moisture content on heat conductivity coefficient and heat transfer coefficient of wood fibreboards was investigated. In the second part, the building structure model was prepared, consisting of CLT, air layer and wood fibreboard. Subsequently, the two above mentioned characteristics were determined in dependence on measuring temperature, air layer thickness and inner surface emissivity.

Objekt pro bydlení s kombinovaným stavebně konstrukčním systémem

Krella, Jeremiáš January 2015 (has links)
The theoretical part of the thesis describes the use, working process and application of natural materials in family house construction, as well as their impact on the health aspects of building users. The thesis defines the environmental footprint of each particular material. The practical part of the thesis is primary focused on the building design which combines different structural systems from solid wood. The visual concept of the construction in particular was designed with the emphasis and respect to the surrounding countryside which belongs to Protected Landscape Area and is liable to special requirements. Requirements for permanent residence under the applicable legislation in the Czech Republic were respected with a maximum effort to use natural materials in the construction itself.

Nerovnoměrná tepelná modifikace bukových vlysů

Špinár, Dominik January 2016 (has links)
The introduction of the thesis consists of a review of literature about thermal modification of wood. More precisely, the author presents history, possible ways of treatments and the impacts on the treated material from the point of view of chemical, physical and mechanical changes. The introduction of the thesis describes the main subject of the research European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.). The practical part of the work focuses on a contact high-temperature treatment of the samples. It is intended to achieve in the cross-section uneven modification. The treated samples were chemically analyzed. Finally, the results are evaluated and discussed.

Numerické simulace teplotního a vlhkostního pole ve dřevě v prostředí se zvýšenou teplotou

Kubelková, Květa January 2015 (has links)
The thesis deals with numerical simulation of temperature field with internal heat sources and experimental verification of this model in an environment where the high temperatures are applied (during thermal modification of wood). The work was further extended by analysis of coupled heat and monture transfer in the wood. Designed mathematical models are solved numerically using software COMSOL Multiphysics based on the finite element analysis (FEM). The chemical reactions occur due to decomposition of woodconstituents (cellulose, hemicelluloses and lignin) are taken into account in present study. These reactions are usually not solid in known models. The results of numerical simulations of temperature field, including pyrolysis model, are compared with experimental measurements for verification of the proposed model. Contribution of this thesis is the possible application of the proposed model for the design and optimization of thermal modification Schedule with respekt to wood species and sample dimensions.

Vliv tepelné modifikace na vybrané vlastnosti dřeva plantážově pěstovaného topolu

Horníček, Stanislav January 2016 (has links)
The thesis deals with analyses of thermal modification process and assessment of the possibilities of using plantation grown polar wood clone MAX-4 (Populus Nigra and Populus maximowitzii) with modified properties in wooden products. Part of present thesis is to provide general state of art about recently developed thermal modification processes, research dealing with plantation grown wood species cultivation and its material properties, i. e. fast growing poplar hybrids mainly. Furthermore, assessment of possible use of thermally modified material for wooden products based on experimental results of physical and mechanical properties. The aim of present thesis is to evaluate material properties of thermally modified fast growing poplar clone. Improvemetns within material properties of plantation grown poplar wood has a huge potential for future use of this low-cost, low durable and fast-grown wood and therefore increase its utilization within products made of wood.
